The product

Just when we think we’ve heard of every possible innovation in beauty, a product comes along that switches up the game.

kōtia Hydrating Day Cream SPF15 is one such product.

Utilising the innovative ingredient of deer milk, which is rich in essential omega fatty acids and vitamins, this multitasking moisturiser packs a serious punch of lasting rich hydration, and to top it all off, protects skin against environmental aggressors as well as harmful UVA and UVB with the helpful addition of SPF15.

Our panel of Review Crew® members put this product to the test.

The panel

Beauty Crew sent kōtia Hydrating Day Cream SPF15 to a panel of our trusted Review Crew® members aged between 30 and 44 years old who wanted a hydrating moisturiser with a hardworking, multitasking formula. Reviewers also received the kōtia Exfoliating Cleansing Milk to try.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about kōtia Hydrating Day Cream SPF15.

The added SPF protection: Reviewers loved the incorporation of SPF 15 in the day cream as it helped reduce the amount of products they had to apply in the morning. Some reviewers also said this moisturiser had become their new favourite product for no-makeup days.

The rich, hydrating formula: Our members loved how hydrating the day cream was for their dry, flaky winter skin, and how it kept their skin feeling moisturised, soft and smooth all day long.

How it didn’t irritate their skin: Our reviewers with sensitive skin and skin issues such as eczema and rosacea loved that they were able to use a rich, hydrating formula with SPF that didn’t irritate their skin. Some reviewers noted that the day cream actually helped to soothe skin irritation they had been experiencing prior to introducing the cream into their routine.

The verdict

“During winter my skin gets dry and sometimes even flaky. This is the time when I use my retinoids too and this cream calms down the irritations and make my skin feel less tight.”

“This is a very luxurious, hydrating, fast-absorbing day cream with SPF15. Perfect for no-makeup days. I love that a little goes a long way! It is great that the brand does not test on animals or use parabens and their packaging is gorgeous.”

“I love the SPF factor on days when I don't want to apply a slew of products; I love a daily moisturiser that includes it! My skin looks plump, the redness across my cheeks and nose has lessened and my skin hasn't had any breakouts since I started using this one. Makeup goes on evenly over the top. Love it!”
