Mandy Moore just wore the coolest retro beauty look

Mandy Moore’s ‘70s Disco Queen Beauty Look Is Everything

And she’s making a serious case for colourful eyeshadow

Beauty Crew Digital Content Editor / June 11 2019

If you thought blue eyeshadow was a beauty faux pas, we’re very confident you’ll think otherwise after seeing Mandy Moore’s latest beauty look.

Last night she stepped out at the Modern Luxury LA Confidential Impact Awards looking like an actual ‘70s disco queen and we are still completely heart-eyed over her makeup.

Check it out:

So much YES! How good does she look?

Sister act Ashley and Jenn Streicher were responsible for Mandy’s killer look.

Ashley handled the hair, creating Mandy’s gorgeous loose, tousled waves; meanwhile Jenn was responsible for the makeup.

To create Mandy’s poppin’ eye situation, Jenn says she mostly used Make Up For Ever’s Colour Stick in M204.

Unfortunately it seems this product isn’t available in Australia, but if you’re keen on recreating Mandy’s look, we love Clinique’s Chubby Stick Shadow Tint For Eyes in Big Blue.

When applying it, you’ll want to concentrate the bulk of your colour across the eyelid and blend it up towards the brow. Top it off with a swipe of black eyeliner (we like Too Faced Better Than Sex Eyeliner) and some dramatic false lashes like Ardell Fashion Lashes 102 to emulate Mandy’s disco diva beauty look.

Mandy isn’t the only celeb to whip out a blue eye makeup look this year - Margot Robbie attended the BAFTAs earlier this year with this incredible blue eyeliner situation.
