Has Margot Robbie’s contract with Chanel wrapped up?

This is why she looks so different lately

Margot Robbie fans are convinced the actress has been released from her contract with Chanel, and they’re very happy about it.

Robbie aligned herself with the luxury fashion house in 2018, joining long-serving ambassador Kristen Stewart who’s been with the brand for almost a decade.

Unfortunately, despite seeming like the collab of the century, Robbie’s fans were less than happy with her wardrobe, routinely labeling her red carpet gowns as ‘pedestrian’, ‘boring’, ‘ugly’ and ‘far too mature’ for the 32-year-old. Harsh labels for anything Chanel, we know.

But while her beauty looks didn’t encourage the same divisive rhetoric, they could all be distinguished by their traditional, polished, and conservative aesthetic.

However, on the recent press tour for her new film Amsterdam, Robbie’s stylist Kate Young has diverged from the tweed, bows and insignia-embossed gold buttons synonymous with the heritage brand.

Instead, Robbie has been seen sporting a host of fresh looks —most notably a handful of Bottega Veneta ensembles that have her fans very excited.

Subsequently, her hair and makeup has experienced an equally refreshing shake-up.

Robbie looked like a vision in a figure-hugging, olive green Bottega Veneta gown at the recent Governors Ball. Her hair was sun-kissed, her makeup showcasing a subtle palette of shimmering neutrals, and her skin bronzed with a light golden tan.

She rocked the Aussie classic — beachy waves — and a flowing charcoal Celine dress to the European premiere of Amsterdam.

Young even styled the 32-year-old, her hair tousled and makeup monochromatic, in a Proenza Schouler power suit and a Bottega oversized blazer.

Could this mark a new era for Margot Robbie? Her fans seem to think so.

While Young and Robbie seem to be entering a new golden era for the actress’ style, her relationship with makeup artist Pati Dubroff has proven to be a tad more consistent.

No matter the brief, Dubroff’s makeup artistry has routinely outshone the sartorial choices of Robbie’s stylist. Hopefully, this change in the wind can bring an air of harmony between Robbie’s clothing and her makeup.

All we can say is — it’s about damn time.

We think it’s safe to assume that regardless of what she’s wearing, Robbie’s makeup always looks stunning. This is her hack for flawless foundation

Since then, her keen interest in fashion and beauty has landed her gigs as a Digital Content Producer and Beauty Editor with titles like Girlfriend, Refinery29, BEAUTYcrew and beautyheaven. She loves the way seemingly innocuous topics like skin care and style have the ability to put a smile on people’s faces or make them think about themselves a little differently. A big believer in self love and experimentation, Briar has made a point of becoming the Australian beauty industry’s unofficial guinea pig for unusual treatments and daring hair trends.
