The product

In the ever-evolving beauty landscape, there are a wealth of new launches every day. But sometimes the excitement for all things fresh wears off. So, when word hits that a golden oldie we already know and love is about to be relaunched, it sets our beauty-obsessed hearts a racin’.

The classic in question that’s being reintroduced into our routines? Well, it’s none other than Max Factor All Day Flawless Foundation.

Beloved by many since its inception in 2012 thanks to a 3-in-1 formula that combines the complexion prepping and perfecting powers of a primer, foundation and concealer, this pick is getting all dressed up in a brand new fancy schmancy bottle, but housing the same formula we can’t get enough of. Think: an airbrushed, flawless finish that lasts all day.

Here’s what our panel of Review Crew® testers had to say about this 3-in-1 foundation.

The panel

Beauty Crew sent Max Factor All Day Flawless Foundation to a panel of women aged 25 and older who wanted a medium to full coverage foundation.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about Max Factor All Day Flawless Foundation.

The lightweight feel: Our members were very impressed by just how lightweight the foundation formula was, with many reviewers saying it felt like they were wearing nothing on their skin.

The airbrush finish: Review Crew® members said that the foundation delivered on it’s claim of an airbrush finish, with many sounding shocked that they were actually able to achieve such a flawless base with one product.

The 3-in-1 formula: Finally, our members loved that the formula encompassed a number of base products (primer, foundation and concealer) meaning they were getting more than just one benefit from the foundation.

The verdict

“The Max Factor Facefinity Flexihold 3-in-1 primer, concealer, and foundation comes in a glass bottle with a pump for easy dispensing. Love the packaging. The foundation is a lightweight, sheer to medium buildable coverage foundation that also works as a concealer for areas that need that extra bit of help. I usually use a foundation brush or dampened beauty sponge for applying foundation and I thought the foundation worked well with both... and with its sheer coverage, [it] looks like a second skin for me. It does wear off a little around my nose but stays well in other areas.”

“This was a beautiful foundation to try out, I tried number 44 Warm ivory which matched my pale with yellow undertone complexion really well. I did my normal skincare routine underneath and applied it using a beauty blender for an airbrushed look and boy was it an airbrushed look, I was quite impressed, it lasted me from 6am till 7pm at night with no oxidation or weird creasing. It felt smooth and lightweight but buildable, I also applied a setting powder and setting spray. Would I recommend this? Yes I totally would.”

“I'm always on the lookout for a high quality lightweight foundation, and this did not disappoint! I regularly use the Laura Mercier luminous foundation and I found this to be somewhat similar in coverage and colour... I used this foundation with both luminous and pore smoothing primers on different occasions, and it seemed to work well with both. I'd say the coverage is buildable, and with a setting powder this will last all day. This is definitely at the higher end of drug store foundations in terms of quality!”
