Meghan Markle’s Makeup Artist Reveals The Secret Behind Her Wedding Day Glow

It’s surprisingly simple

Though the wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry was now over a year ago, Meghan’s exquisite bridal beauty look has not left our minds. And, perhaps the most memorable element of her wedding day makeup was the way her skin glowed - it completely gave new meaning to ‘lit from within’!

Needless to say, we’ve been dying to know her secret ever since.

If you’ve also been wondering how Meghan’s skin looked so gorgeously glowy, we’ve got good news. Her makeup artist and close friend Daniel Martin has just revealed exactly how he created Meghan’s radiant look. As it turns out, it’s pretty simple!

On the big day, once Meghan had completed her own personal skin care regimen, Martin began applying a light base of foundation using an eyeshadow brush, working from the centre of her face.

“As we have a lot of redness in the middle of our face, it's better to start here and blend out so you can gauge the coverage you're getting,” Martin said in an interview for British television show Lorraine.

After the base layer was applied, Martin mixed a liquid highlighter with some more foundation.

“The next step is a fun step and that's adding a bit of radiance to the skin. [I] mixed the luminiser with foundation so it integrated the glow [using] the same brush that I used,” explained Martin.

Clever! Mixing a liquid highlighter into foundation in this way ensures that skin is given a natural glow, rather than having an obvious, artificially highlighted appearance.
