Take notes

There are some people in this world who have skin so good that when they give us any kind of advice we sit down, shut up and listen. Australian facialist to the stars, Melanie Grant, is one such person.

The highly-sought after skin guru just casually shared her go-to breakfast smoothie recipe on her Instagram, and based on the ingredients list, it’s no wonder the woman glows the way she does. Even Posh Spice was found lauding over her flawless complexion in the comments section: “So beautiful!! Your skin!!! X kisses x”.

Featuring an ample amount of healthy fats and protein that’ll keep you sustained well into lunchtime, as well as a heady dose of glow-boosting antioxidants and H2O – the thing that really caught our eye about this early bird tipple is just how easy all of the ingredients are to find. Plus, as a sweet bonus, it even features one of our favourite Aussie collagen powder brands, Vida Glow, for an extra boost of skin-plumping collagen. We love.

Melanie Grant’s Morning Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

Spinach or kale (frozen or baby spinach if fresh)
Frozen wild blueberries (wild are higher in antioxidants)
An entire avocado (this keeps me full all day)
2 tablespoons Vida Glow unflavoured marine collagen powder (sometimes 3, you can never have too much collagen)
Pea Protein powder
Whole flax seeds and Hemp seeds (whole is best, not ground)
Water
Ice

Method:

Add all ingredients into a blender, give it a whizz and you’re good to glow.
