Could this be the secret to smooth, blackhead-free skin?

Here’s what our Review Crew® had to say about philosophy purity made simple pore extractor exfoliating clay mask

The product

There are no two ways about it – blackheads and enlarged pores are both something we’d rather live without. And while a pore strip can be hugely satisfying when trying to remove the gunk that’s taken up residence in your pores, they don’t do much when it comes to preventing build-up.

Here’s where a mask that’s formulated with kaolin clay and salicylic acid like philosophy purity made simple pore extractor exfoliating clay mask comes in handy. Kaolin clay works to draw out impurities and minimise the appearances of pores in a matter of minutes, while salicylic acid penetrates deep into the skin to dissolve the debris that is clogging your pores. Essentially, the ingredient duo will tackle the blackheads and clogged pores you already have, while preventing future ones from appearing.

The panel

Beauty Crew sent philosophy purity made simple pore extractor exfoliating clay mask to a panel of women aged between 20 and 35 who wanted to tackle their blackheads and oily skin while reducing the appearance of their pores.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about the philosophy purity made simple pore extractor exfoliating clay mask:

How effectively it removed blackheads: Testers loved how effective the mask was at scrubbing away the blackheads they already had, with many also commenting that their skin was virtually blackhead-free within just a few weeks of use.

How significantly their pore size was reduced: Many reviewers were pleasantly surprised with how much smaller their pores appeared after only one application of the mask.

How refreshed their skin looked after use: Refreshed, bright and lifted…these are just a few words reviewers used to describe how their skin felt after using the mask.

The verdict

“This product is the best! My skin is very sensitive and tends to get irritated easily, but it didn’t cause any redness or discomfort to my skin. After using it a few times I noticed that my skin seems less oily and looks cleaner and fresher. This mask reduced the appearance of pores and generally gave a fresher look to my skin. I found that my complexion appeared brighter and my skin felt firmer.”

“I haven’t been this impressed with a product targeted at blackheads…well, ever. Super easy to use and I could actually see an improvement over the two weeks I used it 2-3 times per week. I don’t have a huge amount of blackheads, but my nose is always a problem area - seems to be a bit oilier and has bigger pores. This product helped to reduce that dirty look it sometimes gets.”

“It is so refreshing when a product does what it says it will. In only two uses my skin was virtually blackhead-free. I particularly enjoyed the consistency of the product; it was creamy yet textured but not too rough as with some other clay masks. After washing the product off I immediately saw results, in that my pores were minimised and my skin looked fresh. This was perfect for my skin issues, particularly in the T-zone area.”
