Benzac Post Acne Serum

I noticed my skin was a lot clearer and less oily with this product in a very short amount of time. I didn’t suffer any adverse reactions but I did go a bit red after the first 2 uses but that subsided within a few minutes.Its cheap and works really good for removing acne. It does day around 4 days to start working though and found that it removes the redness that acne leaves behind. I think it's more about acne prevention when it comes to this product. Seems it doesn't actually remove zits and stuff but prevents new ones from forming which in turn removes them. I also used another areas as well such as y back and neck and chest and they have all been looking for nice and clear and smooth since starting to use the product. Defiantly will recommend to others if they too have the same problems with their skin.

This is stronger than it appears. As someone who's skin is used to prescription treatments, I was surprised that this actually had some effect. Don't be me, don't put a whole pump of it on your face. Use just enough to be able to spread it on your face and the results will surprise you. In the right amount, on my combination skin it is comfortable enough to be worn under moisturiser during the day. I saw some progress with post acne but was also pleased with the effect on existing acne. This could be a good budget friendly introduction for someone new to retinol but also for someone who needs a little extra help with acne. My skin looks smoother and there was no irritation.

Loveeee this product! Another amazing acne product from Benzac! The niacinamide is noticeable in the way of reducing the appearance of any dark spots and uneven skin tone, whereas the bakuchiol helps to make my skin firm and plump. My skin can be sensitive to purging but I found it took great to this product! Some people are scared of retinoids and how they will react with their skin. I think that bakuchiol is under rated in this respect. It is vegan and ideal for sensitive skin, achieving similar results to lower strength retinoids. This product would be great for someone thinking of trying an active like retinol. It is gentle and has a lovely gel like texture that absorbs into the skin so nicely. I have noticed a difference in my skin, it's clearer and firmer. I will be restocking this product when my bottle runs dry.

This serum was a very lite serum and did not carry a strong chemical type smell other serums tend to have. This product had an effect after the first couple of days of use. Persistence was key for this one as I could not initially see the subtle changes initially myself. My skin did feel smoother and after a few days use this was obvious more so to me. Great product overall will purchase myself in the future.

I tried the Benzac Post Acne Serum but I found it less effective than pimple patches for treating my spots. While it didn't clear my skin as quickly or thoroughly as I thought it would, I found that my skin was less irritated post pimple treatment. If you're looking for a gentle follow-up after using more aggressive treatments (e.g. if you pick your pimples, or use some harsher exfoliants), this might be a good option. However, for active breakouts, I would still prefer to use the Benzac pimple patches.

As someone who has had acne their whole life and now well into my 30s you can imagine I would have my fair share of dark spots and acne marks on my skin. I was hopeful to try this product especially as it has bakuchiol in it which my skin loves. It hydrated my skin and made it so nice and smooth for the first 3 days of use, so we were off to a good start. However after those first few days, I noticed my face developing lots on tiny little bumps under the skin. I used it for another day thinking it was a coincidence, but it just got worse so I had to stop using it. I have noticed this happen before with a few different niacinimide products, so I have simply put it down to my skin not agreeing with niacinimide. Which is a real shame, as I had high hopes for this product especially with the added bakuchiol. On the plus side though, the texture of this serum is not too sticky and is fast absorbing so if your skin has no problems with niacinimide I would give this a go. Does not slow down your routine too much waiting for it to absorb. But for me, given the fact those little bumps took about 3 weeks to subside I can’t really risk using it again.

I was a little bit nervous to try product as I have pretty sensitive skin but actually I was pleasantly surprised about how good it felt on my skin and with no irritation either! Although I did start to really notice the difference in how the texture of my skin looked/felt much softer and the decrease in patchiness/redness after the 8-10 day mark and will definitely be keeping this in my regular routine :) Make sure you’re keep your skin well moisturised as I did notice a little bit of dryness with this product! (It’s also winter at the moment)

I've known about Benzac periods since highschool and was so surprised to see they had come out with this new range of Power Patches + Post Acne Serum. As someone who only really started getting pimples in my early 20's I have been an avid purchaser of products that can both soothe pimples and draw the gunk out. This post acne serum was extremely light weight and sensitive for my agitated skin and caused both the redness and inflammation to go down, whilst also moisturising the dry patches on my skin from excessive products that are used to cleanse the pimple.

During a severe breakout, my skin was extremely painful, with numerous pimples appearing, some quite large. I hesitated to try new products for fear they might worsen the situation. Luckily, this serum was a lifesaver. It significantly reduced redness and soothed painful under-the-skin lumps. It effectively calmed the angry outbreaks, and now my skin even has a healthy glow. Remarkably, I noticed improvements within just a week. A single pump covers my entire face, which is my main problem area, and it dries quickly without leaving any lingering sensation—a relief for someone with sensory issues like me. I'm definitely purchasing this again when I run out and will recommend it to my friends and family.

I found that my skin was noticeably breaking out during the time I used this, it could be argued that the ingredients promoted a 'purging' of the skin however I didn't find that it calmed down and resulted in better complexion. Unfortunately it's not something that I will continue using and I wouldn't recommend it to friends or family.

I am not impressed with the product at all. I am not too sure if it worked for me. I get pimple marks easily and i find them hard to remove or they do jot easily fade, takes months to fade. I used this product for almost a month but did not see ay improvement compared to the usually healing or fading time my pimple marks take wothout using the product. The texture though is helpful as i have cery dry skin. I would recommend for others to try but i would not repurchase, unfortunately. It might work for others though.

This serum has been a nice addition to my skincare routine and I really enjoyed using this post acne serum and found it felt gentle and worked well on my skin. It's a first time for me using this brand as I often find my skin feeling really dry and tight but this has been absolutely lovely and has left my face feeling better than ever. This tube is also a great size and easy to take with me on travel. I really like how it's helping my skin care routine and will definitely be interested in purchasing this range again and share it with my friend.

This serum is great initially did not notice any change but after continuing usage slowly I could notice a difference. The product also does not have a strong potent smell which is good for me. The light weightness of the serum is also great for anyone who does not like heavy serums. My skin has not looked this good and an even skin tone for many years. The initial application felt smooth, and there was no immediate irritation, which gave me a positive first impression. However, the real test of a skincare product is how it performs over time. Despite the serum's claims of reducing post-acne marks and improving skin clarity, I observed that my blemishes were becoming more red and prominent. The most alarming reaction came in the form of a severe flare-up of perioral dermatitis. This condition, characterized by red, bumpy, and irritated skin around the mouth, had not troubled me for over ten years. The resurgence of this dermatitis was both unexpected and distressing. I initially did not link the flare-up to the Benzac Post Acne Serum, but as I continued using the product, it became clear that the serum was the culprit. My perioral dermatitis became progressively worse with each use of the serum, leading to significant discomfort and self-consciousness. The skin around my mouth became intensely red, inflamed, and painful. The irony was that a product meant to improve my skin’s appearance was causing one of the worst skin reactions I had experienced in years. In addition to the dermatitis, the Benzac Post Acne Serum seemed to make my existing blemishes more noticeable and aggravated. Instead of fading post-acne marks and calming my skin, it did the opposite. My blemishes appeared more red and prominent, which was incredibly frustrating. The combination of perioral dermatitis and worsened acne made my skin look and feel unhealthy. Given these severe adverse reactions, I cannot recommend the Benzac Post Acne Serum. While it may be light on the skin and easy to apply, the potential for triggering severe skin conditions and worsening blemishes is too significant to overlook. For those with sensitive skin or a history of dermatitis, this product poses a substantial risk. The experience was not only disappointing but also emotionally taxing, as dealing with a severe skin condition can significantly impact one's confidence and comfort. I have since stopped using the serum and switched to more gentle, non-irritating skincare products, which have helped to calm my skin and reduce the dermatitis. In conclusion, my experience with the Benzac Post Acne Serum was overwhelmingly negative. It triggered a severe flare-up of perioral dermatitis and made my blemishes more red and prominent. I would advise anyone considering this product to proceed with extreme caution, especially if they have sensitive skin or a history of skin conditions. There are better, safer options available that do not carry the same risks.

This product was light on my skin and not hard to apply. It also did not have any strong chemical smell. I did not notice any difference in what my skin looked like, other than I got less pimples after using the product. But, in saying that, I am over 40 and the damage was probably already done 25 years ago. It might have been a different story if I had used this product in my teen years, then the scarring on my face perhaps would not have occurred. I would definitely recommend teenagers use this product couple with the patches.

As someone who constantly picks and squeezes at their pimples, I had just resigned to the fact that I'd have marks on my face forever. However, the Benzac Post Acne Serum has certainly helped to reduce the appearance of the red/dark marks on my face! I'm so glad that the serum has worked for me, and for the first time in a long time I can confidently leave the house without feeling the need to put makeup on to hide my blemishes. It doesn't work over night, but with consistent usage I noticed a difference between weeks 1-2 of use. I would recommend this product.
