Clairol ColourStrong

Clairol ColourStrong made coloring my hair incredibly easy with its simple, three-step process. I really loved the shine it gave my hair—it looked vibrant and felt noticeably healthier and stronger afterward. The color came out rich and multi-dimensional, and I appreciate that it’s ammonia-free, vegan, and uses skincare-inspired ingredients like AHA. The eco-friendly, recycled packaging is a great bonus. At this price point, it offers amazing value. I’d definitely consider using it again in the future.

The instructions were easy to follow and application was simple enough for the extra light ash blonde colourstrong but as my hair has a lot of grey, I did not find this product gave any colour to my hair. It may have added a bit of ash but no blonde. However, my hair did feel soft and nourished after using. I won't be purchasing this for my hair that is greying as there are better products to use. It may appeal to other people as it is vegan, free from PPD/PTD and packaged in eco-friendly, recycled materials. I was given this product to trial as a memeber of Beautycrew.

The new Clairol Colour strong hair dye is so easy to use and comes with a multi dimensional bonding system which worked so well for my weak hair. I love that it has no ammonia and so it doesn't have that horrible hair dye smell. The AHA bonding care feature is what makes such a big difference to how your hair feels after colouring. My hair has never felt so strong and soft. I received the dark blonde shade and it is perfect colour match for me. I found it covered my grey strands perfectly and neutralised the brassy blonde parts. So good that it is vegan and now using recycled plastics. I would recommend this to anyone who wants stronger, softer hair with a perfect colour finish.

I was sent the Clairol Colourstrong In Black for review. I dye my hair regularly, so only really needed to do my roots, but I figured I would do full dye to be able to review all the elements (the bonding primer doesn't go on your roots). First of all, I loved the fact that all the items were easy open, didn't have to bring scissors to the bathroom with me! The bonding primer is a clear gel with a light fruity scent which was easy to apply with the gloves provided which were quite well fitted, although this sizing might not work well for people with larger hands. The dye itself is simple to mix together in the applicator bottle and doesn't have a strong scent at all. The dye is very pigmented but still wipes off the skin with no effort at all (which is fantastic as I am always a bit messy with my application). The bonding treatment seems to effectively be a lightweight conditioner, which did leave my hair super soft. I can't speak to whether the primer or treatment will give a longer lasting colour as I have only just used them, however the whole experience was pleasant and super simple with a great result!

I am always a little bit cautious to use new box hair dyes because in thepast some haven't coloured greys well, some have provided uneven colour and others have even caused a skin reaction but to be honest I was really surprised by Clairol Colourstrong! It was easy to use - with a primer, two products to mix together for the colour, and then a bonding treatment. Whilst it smelt like hair dye, it wasn't overwhelming like some (likely because it does not contain ammonia like most do). Being ammonia free is also why it was gentle on my scalp and did not cause any irritation whatsoever. The colour was consistent and covered all of my greys which is great (areas where they were stronger look a but multidimensional which just gives it some depth). It is a permanent dye and I only used it a week ago, so it is hard to attest to how long the colour will stay vibrant, but so far so good - I am impressed. Literally the only thing I would change about this product is perhaps some additional colour options. I have brown hair but like to have a warn brown (with a touch of red to warm it up) so it would be great to see more options in that space.

A beautiful hair colour to use. So quick and easy, and I love you apply it to dry hair, so you only have to get in the shower once! It's nice and quick and easy to use, and then you rinse, and your hair feels softer, brighter and shinier. It really made my hair feel so good. The colour is great and looks quite natural. It is very affordable and fabulous to use at home, so no longer having to spend 3 hours in the salon I will definitely buy this again and definitely recommend it , it really is easy to use, anyone could do it and have fabulous results

I was lucky enough to trial intense dark red colour my hair was drab fine and greys coming through I haven't dyed my hair for over a year so was looking kinda dull and drab this colour was awesome I usually go a red colour the colour left my hair feeling smooth and bright and more healthy looking the product smelt nice and wasn't overbearing like other products I've used in the past product was easy to prepare and easy to apply all my family and friends noticed how differant and better my hair looked I will definately use this colour again the colour has seemed to stay in longer after washes as well

I'm normally a semi-permanent or henna girl so was a bit nervous about using a permanent shade. Also ColourStrong has 3 steps and I thought it might be fiddly, but I needn't have worried. This was super easy and everything was done in 30 mins with a mild pleasant smell - really appreciated the lack of ammonia and other nasty products I don't want on my head. I like that the whole thing is done on dry hair rather than wet and because you apply the products consecutively first the primer and then the colour without rinsing, following by the bonding treatment which is like a deep conditioner. The kit comes with gloves and the product is quite thick so there's no dripping or big clean-up. You just throw everything out afterwards. The upside was that my hair came out very shiny and soft - frizz is now definitely less (a bit less curly too unfortunately though this is a bonus for anyone who likes straighter hair). The downside is that, even though I got light brown, my hair came out very dark brown - more of a walnut shade - almost black unless I'm in sunlight when you get a few reddish/gold glints. The grey coverage was generally pretty good but there are a few that didn't dye and because my hair is now so dark they really show up, but there aren't too many and overall, the ease of use, reasonable price, and end result which is pretty healthy looking, makes this a good product. I'd suggest maybe aiming for a lighter shade than you want if my experience is anything to go by.

I love that the Clairol ColourStong box dye is ammonia-free! It was gentle on my scalp and the scent is minimal. I was pleasantly surprised that my eyes didn’t water from any strong odours. The packaging looks modern and simple. The kit comes with a primer with AHA which you apply to your dry unwashed hair first and then, mix the colour cream and activator and apply, wait 30 mins and rinse and finally you apply a AHA bonding treatment which left my hair feeling soft and silky. The instructions are easy and clear. There is also a quality pair of gloves in the kit. My hair colour was visibly lighter and it covered my greys as it claimed. I recommend you try this product!

This is absolutely fantastic. Everything comes in the box and the gloves fit great. It is so easy to use and apply. The instructions are simple and easy to read and it is very easy to apply.. I was amazed at how great the colour was and that it really did match the colour on the box. My hair has come out looking and feeling so much better. It feels and looks really healthy and very soft and shiny. One of my friends said that I look a few years younger. A few people have commented on how great the colour is and that it looks really good. A few have said that they are going to go out and buy the product and give it a try. .

I was really pleased with the color. It was rich and even, and it completely covered my pesky greys around my temples. What impressed me the most, though, was how my hair felt afterwards. It actually felt stronger, just like the name suggests! It wasn't dry or brittle at all; in fact, it felt quite soft and looked really shiny. The color has held up pretty well over the past few weeks too. I haven't noticed any significant fading, which is always a concern. The Clairol Colour strong hair colour proves that dyeing your hair is not like it used to be. There are no foul smells and you don't feel like you are killing your scalp with something toxic. The colour is a beautiful golden light blonde to my already darkish hair. The beauty is that after using it your hair feels like it's had a treatment. Soft, moisturised and healthy. It is easy to use and all you need for the perfect colour is included. I would definitely recommend this colour for first timers or even people who have coloured before and want something that will offer a great colour with a healthy finish.

I used Clairol Colourstrong - Extra Light Ash Blonde. The packaging was easy to open and blend, the gloves were a snug fit which made application easy. The whole process was easy to follow and mess free. The colour was a little lighter than l would normally have gone for, but still very nice. It has left my hair ultra shiny, soft and feeling healthy, unlike other colours l have used where it's felt like straw. I have had quite a few comments and compliments on how nice and healthy it looks. I would highly recommend this brand!
