Dermalogica Clearing Mattifier

I came across this whilst looking for a product to help control oil and stop my makeup basically sliding off my face by midday in the ridiculously hot summer months. It claimed to reduce and control sebum production and keep skin mattified. I purchased a few samples at the time as I wasn't willing to pay the rather expensive full price without giving it a good trial first. The name itself with the words " clearing mattifier" in the title gave me hope that this would be exactly what I was looking for. The product upon opening is a cloudy white gel with a rather mild and non distinct scent. It is surprisingly thick so I only applied a little over my t-zone areas. I have found in the past with similar products that it is best to not apply to the entire face or you will end up with dry patches (especially on the cheeks). The gel feels silky and smooth when applied and skin feels instantly mattified and soft. It absorbs quickly and basically feels like a primer for makeup (also works like one too!). I found it helped keep my skin shine free and my makeup went on smoother and more evenly and stayed put throughout the day! Im not too sure I would buy the full size in future just due to the fact I have used primers that have a similar result as this for a more affordable price. If money isnt an issue however-definitely give this a try! It does everything it claims to do. Id recommend this for anyone with oily or acne prone skin who is looking for a product that reduces shine,controls sebum and fights bacteria that cause blemishes.
