LOVE this day cream

The Avene DermAbsolu Reshaping Day Cream is an off white thick paste cream.  It comes in a heavy glass jar with a twist off lid.  Once finished, the replaceable pod can be easily lifted out and a new one put in.  I have finished using this cream now.  Am I going to keep the jar?  Heck yeah! I have loved using this day cream.  It is a little thicker than my usual day creams but it absorbs well although I do wait about 10-15 minutes before applying makeup.  There's plenty to do in the mornings, so I'm not twiddling my thumbs.  It works really well with my makeup and keeps my 50 plus year old skin supple and hydrated.  It does have a light scent, but I like it.  It gives me an emotional boost to start the day.  The refill pot is about $10 to $20 cheaper so it makes sense for me to keep the jar as I plan to purchase when I run out of moisturiser from my stash. Which could take a while - I have a huge stash, lol!

Rich moisturiser with 1% bakuchiol

This day cream from Avene It is targeted towards aging skin, and suitabloe for sensitive skin. It comes in a refillable 50ml glass jar where the inner container with the product can be refilled. It features 1% Bakuchiol, 2% pro-ceramides, Vanilla Polyphenols, shea butter, jojoba oil, Vitamin E. Bakuchiol is a wonderful skincare ingredient - a powerful antioxidant with soothing effects that can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The cream has a whipped creamy texture, that feels almost too rich at first. It has quite a strong old-fashioned fragrance. On my dehydrated combination skin, it takes a bit of time before it's absorbed. After that point, I don't feel it, but it is slightly sticky to touch. This is not surprising, given that the product is meant to provide a "protective film for 24-hour hydration". I just wait a bit before putting on sunscreen. Despite the initial heaviness, it's keeps my skin comfortable and moisturised. I experienced no irritation. Overall I was really impressed with just how well it hydrates my skin throughout the day in winter. Usually I have to reapply moisturiser halfway through the day due to dryness, but not when I use this. It would be great to wear on a long flight. It's also so convenient to have a moisturiser with a decent percentage of bakuchiol without having to add another serum step. It didn't fix any sagging but I wasn't expecting any topical products to. It just made my skin feel happy and gave it a healthy radiance. My only minor criticism is that the scent should be reduced if this is meant to be for sensitive skin as well. It was a bit overpowering at first but I got used to it. It would have been five stars if not for the fragrance. I would not advise those with oilier skin types to try this, as it is really quite heavy and is likely to feel like it's too much. I personally don't think I'd be able to use this in the hotter months.
