Eau Thermale Avène Tolérance Control Soothing Skin Recovery Cream

As someone with Rosacea, finding a gentle yet effective cream for my daily skincare routine has always been a challenge. Eau Thermale Avène Tolérance Control Soothing Skin Recovery Cream has proven to be the perfect solution for me. The cream not only rapidly soothes irritations but also nourishes and moisturizes, helping to restore my skin's natural barrier. I bought this when my skin was having (yet another!) reaction to another skincare product and needed something soothing and gentle, and I'm glad I did. It didn't cause any further flare ups, soothed my angry skin and was one of the few products that actually felt like it was putting moisture back into my skin. I've been buying this ever since. I'd recommend this for more combination to dry skins. This might be a bit much for oily skins. Having said that, it sinks in beautifully, plays nicely with my other skincare and make up (no pilling!) and has no overwhelming scent. I think this would be a good moisturiser to use when you are playing around with actives, as it is fairly basic and shouldn't clash with other skincare ingredients.

Winter has not been very kind to my skin this year so I was very pleased to see this Soothing Skin Recovery Cream included in the VIP box and I definitely was not disappointed. I love everything about this cream. To begin with, the packaging is great. The sleek little tube is the perfect size to pop into a handbag for touch ups on the go. I was also really pleased to see that it has a pump applicator. This is great because it keeps air and germs out of the cream. The cream itself is a lovely thick consistency that spreads easily and absorbs into the skin very quickly. Straight away my skin felt hydrated, soothed and far less irritated. I also noticed after only a couple of applications the redness in my irritated skin has almost completely disappeared. I am very pleased with the results from this cream and I will definitely continue to use and purchase in future.

I have normal skin, with a slight oiliness to it and found this moisturiser to be too heavy. I applied this twice a day (morning and night) and after a while would find my skin getting dewy. It appeared as though the product didn't soak into my skin that well and would gather/rub off. As a result I reduced using this down to just the evenings in combination with my Niacinamide serum. It is a thick cream so using a small amount for oily skin at night would be okay, but as a day wear product I'd recommend something lighter. The price point is okay, on the more expensive end for the size but not outrageous if you are using it sparingly. I suspect if you have sensitive or dry skin this product would work very well. It has no fragrance and does feel nice putting it on.

This is my first time using any avenue face products. I have heard great things about the healing properties of avene. Recently I have started trialling a whole lot of new face products and actives and having sensitive skin oftentimes find I may have overdone it. On days like these or just a particularly sensitive skin day I would simply smear this product on, it goes on smooth and instantly soothes and feels great on. The pump is also very handy and clean to use with the simple cap on top. I will definitely be repurchasing to have in the cup board for those times!

The cream is very moisturising and hydrating, absorbs fast, soothes the skin from irritation and aids in restoring the skin barrier. One of the key ingredients and one of my favourites is Squalane. It helps to balance oil production. It also helps with anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory. think Rosacea, Eczema, acne, redness. The product is made up of thick creamy consistency so a little goes go a long way. It’s non-greasy and fragrance free. I’ve used this many years ago and have no idea why I stopped. Now that I’ve been using for over a month, It’s miraculous and I’ve fallen deeply in love with it again! It deeply hydrates my skin, it instantly soothes the redness, calms the irritation before I break out. My skin feels soft. I also used this on my daughter whom suffers from eczema, within the span of 3-4 days of using this cream, her eczema patches on her hands, back of neck and back of knees were healed. They weren’t itchy anymore, the redness has gone down and no flakey, dried out skin. I highly recommend this cream to absolutely everybody.

I went on holiday recently to a very hot and humid place, which I still need to wear masks everywhere due to COVID. Since I was mostly travelling around the city, I was always wearing my mask under the temperature. Therefore, I started having bad pimples over my cheeks. Since I was travelling I couldn't find any dermatologist or doctor in time to look at my face, so I started using this cream as I got it as a trial. After a couple days using the cream, I still have my pimples but it wasn't as red and irritating. I think it really helped soothing my face under the hot weather. I will always bring this cream to travel just in case and I recommend everyone to do the same as well.

Love this product. It reminds me of the First Aid cream produced by another skin care company and that's exactly how I used it. Got a dry spot? Slap some of this on. Uneven texture popped up? Apply liberally. Skin feeling bleh? This is your friend. I am a huge fan and will continue to purchase this product. So happy to be aware of its existence. Lovely texture, minimal scent and a true first aid emergency repair cream for the skin. Would recommend to this product to everyone to have on standby

This is an absolutely amazing product! I am very happy to have come across this product. I usually get acnes and there are many acne scars on my face. I tried so many products to stop new acnes but I used to keep getting more and more. But when I started this cream, applied day and night time, I could observe a difference in my skin. There were no new breakouts and also the redness from the old ones was also gone. Truly amazing product! I would definitely recommend it to my friends and sisters. A great product for those who have a problem of recurring acnes.

This was my first Avene product ever that I have actually used. Wasn't I absolutely impressed. Firstly I liked the package of this product. A great 40ml pump tube. Making it perfect for the desired amount. No wasting and so convenient to disperse. This recovery cream felt totally luxurious when I applied it to my face. With super soft and soothing results immediately. A beautiful moisture boost day or night. It absorbs quite quickly into the skin. Leaving your face feeling very nurtured and cared for. The effects were highly noticeable and my skin became more supple and less dehydrated after each use. I loved it and found it worked amazingly. So I would extremely recommend others to try such a quality product It is perfect for sensitive skin and wearing under makeup.

Avene is a brand I have trusted and used for a very long time so I was delighted when this Soothing skin recovery cream was included in my very welcome VIP box. The protective pump giving airtight packaging and sterile use is an excellent initiative. The cream "calms and soothes the appearance of redness, feelings of tightness and heat and restores skin comfort." It is preservative free, fragrance free, formula tested on allergic skin and 98% of ingredients are from natural origin. I did not use this on my face because I have a medically diagnosed allergy to cetearyl alcohol which is one of the ingredients but it is a fantastic hand cream and would be wonderful on other areas of the body if soothing was necessary. Made in France and using the Avene Thermal Spring Water which this brand is famous for, it is an excellent product to have on hand for constant and/or emergency use. It sinks in beautifully and feels calming immediately.

I really enjoyed trying this cream it made my skin feel so nice and hydrated. I have oily skin but I do like to incorporate hydration around once or twice a week and I also use a derma pen monthly so this cream was extremely helpful for that ! The texture is more on a thicker side rather than a standard face moisturiser and it does feel more heavy on the face as well. I would recommend this to someone with very dry or sensitive skin I still would personally use this product especially for when I use my derma pen as for the first week my skin feels very dry and almost feels sunburnt so the cream soothed it and kept me hydrated. I also used it on my son as he gets dry skin on his arms and after around 2 weeks he wasn’t scratching his arm as much and it wasn’t as dry!!

I have seen this a lot more recently but previously have not heard it before. My skin feels much more hydrated which is what I look for in products like these. This is so great, especially for someone who has sensitive skin. It repairs the skin barrier and helps my skin feel much less irritated, red and bumpy. It took my skin some getting used to but I would say after a few days I noticed positive results. It has a gentle formula with limited ingredients which makes using it feel much nicer. I like using the pump a lot, makes it feel like a lesser chance of bacteria or cross-contaminating and offers the perfect amount of product with one pump. I would recommend this for those with sensitive or irritable skin.

I had seen this brand a lot lately and decided to try it as my skin was dry and needed restoring after winter. It’s super gentle on skin, my skin is sensitive and it caused no irritation. It restores the skins barrier and after using this my skin feels soft and smooth. It contains no nasties and has limited ingredients so as not to irritate. It’s silky and light and comfortable to wear and you can tell it’s a high quality product. It has helped immensely with dryness, my skin is now so hydrated and more Dewey looking, a great anti ageing product. Love this and highly recommend it
