Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation

The original formula was my go to for many many years. I was excited to try this new upgraded formula and boy did it deliver! Prior to using this, I had IPL for pigmentation on my face 2 days prior. So my spots were probably in their prime of 'hardened and darkened'. There were some redness still, but mostly spots that I needed to cover The armani formula gives really good coverage, I used a beauty blender (lightly tapped as skin still sensitive) and I only needed a tiny bit as concerned I didn't want to go too hard with make up so soon. It actually covered pretty much all of the post IPL spots/marks and gave a really good smooth and glowy/dewy finish vs the original I was going to use a highlighter over it, but honestly didn't need it and no one even noticed that I had IPL and all super impressed on how much it covered with so little product! I would also say the colour was very 'natural' so I would highly recommend!

I have been using Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation for the longest time and was eager to try the new formula, which is just as good. For a person that doesn’t like to wear make up much it’s the perfect blend , ultra lightweight to wear and is effortless to apply on the go. I am always complimented on how flawless my skin looks when I wear this foundation and it gives a perfect glow for a night out or simple everyday wear. Completely worth the price tag and a little goes a long way, full coverage is only about 2 pumps! 100% recommend!

Armani Luminous Silk Foundation This has been my go to for a few years. I was worried that the new formulation would not be as good - but I should not have been concerned. This works so well my perimenopausal, over 50 plus skin. Either alone or over under painting for a full beat. It is never to heavy, never acenutates my flaws, always a nice skin type, my skin but better texture. Enough coverage for everyday and builable for those special events. Have only been using the new formula for a week, so yet to see if it delivers on the skincare claims - however my skin is definately not looking any worse and maybe a hint of improvement. Feels soft and light, not masky. Happy days!

I love this foundation. It’s lovely and light and comfortable to wear and it gives a lovely natural light coverage that also disguises imperfections beautifully. It is a little pricey but I never need a lot as it spreads beautifully and so it lasts for quite a long time. This is a really high quality foundation that is silky and also moisturising on my skin, very hydrating and comfortable to wear, there are quite a few shades to choose from so finding a perfect match is easy. Love this foundation and would highly recommend it

I went from someone who wore makeup everyday to a stay at home mum who rarely wears it. Even then ive seen this foundation recommended everywhere but could never justify the price. I was asked to take part in a trial for review crew and jumped on it. First opinions are that its packaged lovely, love glass bottle so you can see how much is left and the pump is good quality and consistent. I received shade 6.8 warm olive. Its definitely two shades too dark for me. so i went in with an open mind. First application was a lazy one. non prepped skin, only washed the night before, straight in with fingers. I found the formula smooth and silky, pigmented but not heavy. On my skin it felt great, spread easily even without prep, evened out redness and imperfections but left a very natural coverage. Being the wrong shade it left me with a bronzed look that looked so intentional (think face bronzing drops that hide redness and make you look like you spent a week at the beach) without looking like id gone back to '00 and deliberated wearing foundation too dark. i LOVE this look, its something i would gravitate to on a daily basis again, it looked so so natural while hiding any spots without looking like i have any foundation on. Second application was prepped skin, still finger application with some brush blending. Definitely created a more put together look while still maintaining a super natural look that hid what needed to be hid while letting YOU shine through. It wears beautifully. I live in a hot humid tropical climate and I'm a sweaty betty. It still stayed on great, no caking, no settling in lines (I'm 34, i have some), no melting off. Now you have leeway on shades. If your buying online the shades blend with your skin wonderfully. like i mentioned, mine was definitely two shades too dark BUT i could easily make it work and it created a gorgeous bronzed look for an everyday wear, that made me look sun kissed without looking like I'm wearing any makeup at all. Overall my opinion on if this is worth the price has definitely changed. Its not something i could afford to buy on a regular basis but its definitely my choice for birthday splurges from now on!

I have been the big fan of armani luminous silk foundation. I love the old formula which was my go to for light weight foundation and gives the most beautiful skin like finish. Now let’s talk about the new formula. I love the consistency it is almost same as the previous one and smells even better. I use the shade 6.5 which is a good match for my skin tone. It gives a beautiful medium coverage and this new formula is slightly more dewy than the previous one. Overall it’s a good lightweight foundation to use everyday.

The Armani Beauty Luminous Skin Foundation is a product that was really easy to apply and use in every sense. I found I could very easily blend it in with my natural skin tones and with my other makeup products. I felt like it really lifted my usually tired looking skin. In simple terms, it made my skin look really dewy and polished. I cannot recommend the Armani foundation more highly. It really does live up to its namesake in every which way. I have combination skin with an oily T-zone and was excited to try Armani Luminous Silk given the hype. First impressions were great — the texture is lightweight and silky, blends easily, and feels lovely on the skin. It gives a natural, radiant finish and true medium coverage that evens out skin tone without looking cakey. Straight after application, my skin looked smooth, even and polished. I did use a primer and set it with powder, which helped initially, but unfortunately the wear time didn’t hold up for me. Even on a low-key day with minimal activity, the foundation started breaking down within a few hours and faded across my face, not just in my T-zone. The packaging is beautiful and feels luxe, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to test — thank you, Beauty Crew. While I’d recommend this to those with drier skin who love a natural, radiant finish, it’s not one I’d repurchase for combination skin given the price and longevity.

I’ve never tried the original luminous silk foundation but I have heard amazing things about it over the years. I was very excited to try this reformulated foundation and I had very high hopes for it and it definitely did not disappoint. I don’t know how it compares to the original But this reformulated one is definitely the type of foundation that I like. It literally melts into the skin and feels and looks like skin and gives you a beautiful natural glow . You can’t tell you have foundation on when you have this on and it’s light to medium coverage which is perfect for me because I don’t want to look cakey. I genuinely think I found my perfect foundation and although it is on the pricey side, I think it’s well worth the money, especially given that it also has skincare benefits. So if you want a natural looking foundation, this is for you, but if you are after something full coverage then probably not.

She is super lightweight so you forget it’s on your skin. You don’t need a lot - it’s gives full coverage for less & it’s best to use less than you think otherwise you may end up cakey. I have sensitive skin and had no irritations & it also washed out seamlessly after the day was done. There is a wide shade range (I’m on the lighter side 3.75) & this the first foundation that was a perfect match for my skin tone. Price point is on the higher side but for a designer brand & the fact it definitely would last longer than normal its pretty good! - for sure put in your Wishlist or get a loved one to treat you!

Luminous Silk was my go-to foundation up until a few years ago when I made the change to clean beauty. I was interested to try the new formula even though unfortunately it still has alcohol denat. in it. The formula really is like silk. It is super light weight, fluid and hydrating. I tried a few different ways of wearing this (with primer vs without, with setting powder underneath, with setting spray etc), and I got the smoothest look by moisturiser, setting powder, foundation, hydrating setting spray. It was a light finish but buildable with an extra coat or two. It was never glowy on me though, even with different skin prep options. It wore nicely throughout in the day in a Perth summer.

The Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation is stunning! The bottle is super cute and has a sleek design. The pump is easy to use and the bottle fits perfectly in your hand. It has a velvety light weight feel on your skin with medium coverage. My shade was slightly darker than I anticipated but I made it work. It's so hard to choose the correct shade online when our skin colour changes through out the seasons (the Australian sun is no joke!). The foundation was long lasting and stayed on well, even when exercising. The foundation applied on my skin well but remained light and glowing. This foundation is out of my price range, but with the name comes the price tag.

I was so excited to try this foundation and it really lived up to the hype. It applies effortlessly and blends beautifully with a brush, leaving a smooth, natural looking finish. I have combination skin, so I lightly set it with powder to control shine, and even after 10+ hours my skin still looked fresh and comfortable. The formula feels lightweight and breathable but sti ll offers great coverage without looking heavy. The glass bottle also feels luxe and well designed, which is a nice touch. My only real downside was choosing a shade, which felt a bit tricky and easy to get wrong. I ended up with a good match, but if I were buying it outright I’d probably hesitate without seeing it in person first.

This was my first time using the Luminous Silk Foundation. I have no experience with the old formula. It was a bit hard to choose my shade from the provided shade tool. I ended up with a shade that was a touch too light but it is currently Summer so hoping it will be a perfect match for the Winter months! I was blown away by how great this foundation is. It was easy to apply and I didn't need more than 2-3 pumps to get the coverage I like. I have acne scarring and this foundation definitely gave me a blurring effect. I've never had my scars been covered so well with a foundation. It is definitely luminous! Which I tend to prefer as I have hit my 30s and always suffered from dry skin. I quite like the glow from this foundation. It also wasn't patchy after a long day's wear, which was great as I do touch my face a lot throughout the day. Would definitely recommend this foundation. Get a shade match sample in store with multiple shades, and trial it in different lights.

The Armani Luminous silk foundation just melted into the skin. The coverage is so good and really lasted the hot summer we have been having. My rosacea really toned down and was barely noticeable. I colour matched so well and it is an amazing foundation. My work colleagues complimented me on how fresh I was looking so I know it wasnt just me that noticed the quality and how much of a nice glow I had through out the day. Would I purchase at this price point ? Yes if on sale or if I felt like a splurge. It is definitely silky and would make a beautiful gift.

I was lucky enough to receive the Armani Beauty Luminous Silk foundation to test and review, the first Armani Beauty product I've tried. I was aware of the OG version of this foundation but hadn't paid much attention to it in light of its cost, but aware a lot considered it a holy grail product, so I was really excited to try. I was a bit unsure when it came to shade matching, despite a very impressive 40+ shade range, being a very cool-toned fair to light skin tone and feeling like even most base products with a neutral undertone look orange on me. I picked shade 3.75 and it's perfect for me. The foundation itself is a really nice light liquid consistency that applies and blends really nicely and easily. On me using the usual amount I would if any liquid foundation the coverage was medium, with a satin finish that gave a lit-from-within glow. Some blemishes and redness weren't hidden, but I felt like the coverage was exactly what I would expect from a medium coverage base. Wear-wise, I did get transfer and a bit of patchiness if I applied it and immediately got on with my day or sweat a lot, but if I had the time to apply, ensure it properly set down, used a really good setting powder on my T zone and didn't sweat, it was still beautiful by the end of the day, so that's something to note for other combo skin people out there who tend to sweat. The packaging, whilst I don't love from a personal taste standpoint, looks and feels expensive, which is what I would expect from makeup in the luxury price range. Overall, I think it's a very, very nice foundation that applies really nicely and has good longevity if I have the time to properly prep and set, but it didn't change my life or blow my mind. Whilst I've recently gone back to cheaper base products, I have used many expensive ones, and for me personally, there are pricey foundations that I like just as much, if not more, that aren't yet over that $100 mark, so it will be a want rather than a need for me.

This is the first time I've tried the infamous Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and now I fully understand why it's so hyped. It's packaged in a sleek glass bottle with a pump. This helps to minimise wastage by dispensing measured doses. I found a little went a long way, only ever needing 1 or 2 small pumps. I used shade 4 which suits light neutral undertone skin. My skin is mature aged and is dry to normal. I found a very small amount provided sufficient coverage without looking too cakey and was effective at evening out skin tone and covering up redness. The effect is beautiful - like a second skin but better. The finish is satin-like, not too glowy but not matte. It lasted well throughout the day, even during long humid summer days. It's really a beauty fan-favourite for a reason!
