LUMA Crushed Pearl Facial Polish

The Luma Beauty Crushed Pearl Facial Polish is my all time favourite physical exfoliator! It is made from crushed pearls and is wonderfully gritty without being too harsh or abrasive on the skin.  I use a small amount once per week after cleansing, making sure not to press to hard, and it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft. A little goes a long way, and i have been using the same tube for around 6 months. It's available at priceline, and doesn't contain parabens or sulfates. Highly recommend!

I bought this whilst shopping in Priceline as I was looking to try something different. I usually use Dermologica and love it. It comes in a lovely easy to use squeeze tube and only a little product is needed and used after cleansing with a small amount on a moist face. I actually found this to be way to harsh for my skin. It is quite grainy with small bits of crushed pearl that I found to be uncomfortable on my skin, my skin didn’t get particularly red after but it didn’t look fresh and soft like it does after using other scrubs.

I really like this exfoliating polish after a day outdoors when I've been wearing heavy sunscreen and my regular face cleanser doesn't cut it.  Gentle but effective is what you want from a physical Exfoliator and that's what this is.  The packaging leaves much to be desired though.  The skinny tube is always flopping over because it's too narrow to stand up.  It seems like a small thing, but it's really annoying having to pick it up al the time after it has fallen over.

Just the name and packaging of this was enough for me to pick it up and give it a try. And boy was I not disappointed!! I feel like most people only know Luma for their makeup products, but honestly their skincare products are even more amazing and I would highly recommend for people to check them out. This facial polish is basically an exfoliator, but made with crushed pearls - how amazing is that?! The consistency is nice and fine, and not at all abrasive. It is gentle on my skin and the pearls leave behind a nice luminous glow. I use it once a week and have been doing so for the past few months. My skin definitely looks healthier and I can see a nice glow to it because of how clear and bright my skin has become. I also love that there is no artificial fragrance to this product. The exfoliating pearls definitely help to remove dead skin cells and brighten up the complexion. My skin always feels softer and more supple after I use this, and it has even stopped flaking and getting incredibly dry in the wintertime. I would recommend pairing this with the cleansing gel from Luma, as they work well together to keep your skin clean, soft and hydrated.
