Ditched the Primer
Such a great base for makeup. I have used both this one and the luminous whip version and can’t decide which one I like better, both are beautiful on the skin and add hydration without feeling oily later in the day. It doesn’t react weirdly with foundation so I always feel I have a nice smooth and face without being too shiny.
Packed in beautiful red jar that looks so great on vanity, this whip is really light but very moisturizing. The scent is bit strong but pleasant and no headache triggers so far. It's such a perfect day cream for winter that can also double up as primer (not that I care much about primers). This cream makes my skin looks refreshing and younger but at the same time makes my eyes feel red and itchy a bit. Really lightweight on the skin, certainly lives up to its name of being whipped - no pore clogging or heavy oily feeling. Doesn't take long to get absorbed and the finish is matte but glowy. Lot to love about this product but since it feels so chemically heavy and keeps making my eyes red, don't think I would like to continue using it.
i love how light yet moisturising this whip is. it's such a perfect day cream for winter before applying make up. it does have the effect of covering some the fine lines i have got on my forehead and this cream makes my skin looks refreshing and younger and i absolutely love it. Surely recommending my friend and mom to try it!
Extremely lightweight and feathery on the skin, certainly lives up to its name of being whipped. Didn't clog my pores or feel oily, but still felt refreshing and rejuvenating. Great for use in the winter months when our skin can sometimes need that little extra moisture, and in summer to keep that youthful glow.
Firstly, I am in love with the formulation of this product. The fact that it is whipped makes it unique in comparison to other moisturisers and the texture is amazing. The scent is nice and isnt too overpowering. I also found that a little of this product goes a long way, meaning that it will last for a while and make it worth the price tag. As am I only young and not in need of an anti-ageing product, I will just continue to use this product as a moisturiser with a mattifying finish, as it claims to be in the product description. Very impressed!
Olay Regenerist Whip
First impression: packaging & container of the moisturiser looked very appealing and fits in the Olay brand quite well. The moisturiser doesn't have much of a scent which I found as a positive. The texture of the moisturising cream is so different to what I have used in the past compared to other moisturisers on the market. I would probably describe it like soft air mixed like cream feeling. I would put a finger tip amount of the product on my finger and found that it glided on my face with ease, I didn't have to rub it in my face. It sort of melted into my face which I liked.
Overall thought: The moisturiser is definitely light weight as described & leaves my skin feeling quite matte as intended which is also a great base for my makeup to be on. I have noticed that when I started using this new moisturiser I hadn't need to blot my face as much, #winning!!
I would definitely consider purchasing this product when I run out.
I have never used anything from Olay in the past. And haven’t heard or seen anyone I know use anything from Olay either so I have never felt the need to buy anything by the brand.
My sister gave me a sample of this and boy did I learn that I was wrong I have oily skin and this moisturiser really helped to keep me shine free and controlled the oil really well. I just wish it was a little bit more moisturising just a touch! Everything else was good about it would definitely recommend for oily skin.
This product is very aptly named- the texture is absolutely light as air and absorbs almost instantly into the skin. The result is a matte, smooth canvas that is perfectly primed for makeup application. In fact, this product is so mattifying that everything that is applied on top of it becomes matte. I can’t speak to its anti-aging claims, but this moisturiser would be perfect for those with normal-oily skin due to its light texture and mattifying qualities. Unfortunately, it is not hydrating enough for my dehydrated winter skin. Those with sensitive skin might find that this is too strongly scented for them. Overall, for the price, this is a great product for those with skin on the oily spectrum that finds that other moisturisers are too thick.
I’m actually amazed at how great this product worked. I was sceptical that this would do anything for me, but it’s given my skin a softness I thought it had lost. I’m in my mid 20s and I’ve just started to get some fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes and mouth, after two weeks of using this I can’t even see them anymore. The texture is gorgeous and it smooths onto the skin like butter. I did find that I had to use a generous amount as it doesn’t go a long way, but I didn’t mind. Would say it’s the perfect transition moisturiser for younger women just starting to get into anti-aging skin care.
I was given this as a sample. I enjoy using this. The whipped technology was the most interesting to me for this product. I did not see a huge different from my skin after using it for a week. I am in my 20s and I don't really have any fine lines or wrinkle problems yet, so I will just keep using the original whipped cream. I highly recommend that one. I will give this product to my mother and I am sure she will be more benefited in using this.
I was lucky enough to try a sample of the Olay Regenerist Whip Active Moisturiser, and to say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement.
I’m not getting any younger, so I’m open to trying anything that will help slow down the signs of ageing. This product certainly does that but firming up my skin and smoothing out fine lines - and I haven’t even used it for that long yet! Imagine when I do!
As described, the weight of the moisturiser is definitely light as air - which is perfect for day time and applying make-up on top of it.
Not only is it super easy to apply, it’s pleasant too. It smells amazing and not over-powering in any way. The whipped consistency of the cream was so refreshing and light, it left my skin feeling so smooth and soft.
I see myself purchasing this product in the future. I am so happy with how it has left my skin feeling! I would recommend this moisturiser to all my family and friends that I think could benefit from this product!
It is a absolute excellent cream.it can be absorbed so well and nicely. Highly recommended to buy. I am in mid 30s and have extremely dry skin, this cream helps to reduce the driness. It even works wll with my foundation, makes it stay longer and more smooth. Very good product.
I've found that the Olay Regenerist Whip has replaced my everyday primer products and the skin feels alot less oily and greasy as a result. Makeup stays on longer and the silky cream is easy to apply. If you are achieving a matte look but have oily skin, this is the lifesaver for you.
Have been really enjoying this new Olay product, the whip consistency had me very intrigued. It wasn’t as light and airy as I thought as it is a fairly thick cream but it absorbs really quickly and feels like velvet on the skin. The only thing I didn’t like was the scent. It wasn’t a bad accent but it reminded me of shampoo so it felt a little weird putting it on my face. This cream is great under makeup and gives a very matte appearance to the skin. Will continue to use it to see if my fine lines on my forehead disappear but otherwise a great product at this price point.
A friend gave this to me to try out after having good results herself. The cream feels quite light on my face, doesn't leave a greasy or sticky feeling on your skin and helps with dry patches. It is nice and gentle and absorbs quickly to moisturise skin. Great for winter.
I love Olay products and this one is my favourite so far. The texture is creamy but granular, making it feel like it has a bit of substance on your skin. The smell is divine. It does't take any time at all to melt into your skin and leave you with hydrated and soft and silky skin with no residue. Would definitely buy this and the other products in the range again.
I've used Play Regenerist products before and loved them and this was no exception!
Upon first touch the cream felt thick and luxurious and glided on my face smoothly, melting into the skin effortlessly.
It didn't feel greasy or oily, my skin felt hydrated and plump after use and soft to the touch.
After continued and consistent use my skin started to actually look hydrated and healthy and my acne scars slowly started to fade.
I absolutely love this product and will absolutely keep it in rotation.
I was fortunate enough to get to trail this product, I’ve always thought that Olay moisturisers weren’t very good, so I had never bothered to buy some to try out!
I was impressed with this, not only did it keep my oils from showing it was great to use as a primer under my foundation. My only downside of this was that in winter it isn’t moisturising enough for winter as I have combo skin and where my skin was dehydrated it didn’t help keep it moisturised. I’m definitely going to try this in summer when my skin behaves a lot more. But if your an oily skin girl this would be amazing!
When I opened the container my first thought was that the scent reminded me a bit of hair conditioner, it was quite a potent smell, almost overpowering. I was surprised by the bouncy texture and the beautiful packaging. Feels so exy!
Regenerist is so simple to use, it smooths onto the face and melts right into the skin so beautifully.
The gel-whip has a silky feel to it, and leaves the skin feeling soft, smooth and well moisturised. It is so light it feels like you're not wearing anything at all. It has a matte finish, but still leaves the skin looking supple and healthy, not dry.
I first wore this as my overnight moisturiser. When I woke, my skin still felt soft and smooth, and there was no oily residue on my skin as I often find with many moisturizers. It wore well under makeup and really primed my skin and made my pores appear much smaller and helped keep a matte finish to the skin. While I wouldn't say my make up lasted longer, it definitely applied and looked much nicer! It also applied and wore beautifully with Nutrogena Ultra Sheer Fluid SPF.
My major skin concerns are combination skin (oily t-zone, normal elsewhere with dry patches), early signs of ageing and large pores, along with the occasional spot here and there. I have found Regenerist well suited to most of my skin concerns in the short time I have used it! It didn't cling to any dry patches or leave pools of oil on my face, and my pores appeared much smaller.
I think the Regenerist Whip is well suited to those who have combo skin or wish to make their pores appear smaller. The whip sits so well on oily and dry patches and visibly shrinks pores as good aa any moisturiser ive ever used. I would however suggest considering a different product for those who are super sensitive to smell, because the Regenerist is quite powerful!
I have combination 30 year old skin and this is an amazing moisturizer for me, I use it every morning and it drastically reduces pores, and acts as a perfect primer for make up. The first time I used it and went to a family lunch the first thing my sister said was ‘your make up looks flawless’ - best thing to hear! At night it glides on at the end of my cleansing routine and absorbs quickly and without any grease. As others have said the whole Olay regenerist range is amazing, I absolutely love their microsculpting serum. I’ve got my eye on their retinol eye cream.
It’s a super affordable skincare range too, especially for the quality, but if you’re lucky sometimes you can get it 40-50% off at Coles :D
