Philosophy Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Exfoliating Clay Mask

I received a small sachet sample and a deluxe sized sample of the exfoliating clay mask to try.  As usual, I applied this after cleansing my face, and spread a good layer over my face. It is a white clay mask and contains exfoliating granules. After leaving on for 10-20 mins, the mask dries and tightens on your face like any other clay mask. Then using some water, this is when the magic begins, in round circular motions using my fingertips, the grains act like a physical exfoliant. After fully rinsing my face clean, my skin is left super smooth and deeply cleansed. My skin is also noticeably brighter too. I have normal to dry skin and did not find this harsh at all. There is also no discernible fragrance which is perfect for sensitive noses. Highly recommended!

I have used a few Philosophy products so I was keen to try the Philosophy Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Exfoliating Clay Mask.  I love using masks of all descriptions but clay masks are becoming my favourites.    The clay mask is packaged in a soft yellow, plastic tube with a flip-top cap.  The tube holds 75ml of product.  I couldn’t detect any fragrance.    The description of the product is that it is formulated with white kaolin clay to extract dirt, oil and impurities; salicylic acid to shrink pores; and natural diatomaceous earth to smooth away rough skin.  It is suitable for all skin types, so how would it react on my dry, mature skin?    I smoothed the mask over and around my nose and down to my chin and out slightly towards my cheeks.  I didn’t feel the need to do my entire face. I left the mask on until it dried and during this 15 minute period I could feel the clay tightening, or perhaps it was a drawing-out feeling.    To exfoliate the skin, the idea is to rub the mask in small circular motions while rinsing off.  The clay feels like it has very fine sand in it but when exfoliating it doesn’t feel scratchy or uncomfortable.  The clay mask is easy to wash off without leaving any residue.    The first time I used this mask I was blown away by the appearance of my skin.  My skin looked crystal clear with no blackhead in sight and my skin was astonishingly soft.  My skin looked visibly smoother and brighter.    I now use the Philosophy Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Exfoliating Clay Mask regularly because I love how it makes my skin look and how deeply cleansed it feels.    I can definitely recommend this clay mask because I think theresults certainly live up to the claims. 

Purity Pore Extractor Clay Mask is one of my favourite ones now and I must say I love the results it provides. It might seem a bit pricey at first glance but we get a 75 ml tube that can last us for quite a long time as we do not need to use a huge amount. It works out pretty well in my opinion. The formula is very thick, paste like, with a gritty texture. It applies well, we are told to massage it gently into the skin as the exfoliating particles have a Chance to work better that way. My skin is combination and is not too sensitive, but in my opinion the exfoliating particles are pretty sharp and I would be extra careful applying and removing this face mask if my skin was very sensitive as it is very potent. It does take a bit of time to remove it, as it is clay based, but in that way we give our face some extra massage and love. The skin right after might be a bit red but it is extremely soft and velvety smooth. It rocks a bit of a healthy glow too. I must say I am extremely happy with this face mask and appreciate the results it gives. I believe those with combination skin, especially those with blackheads might want to give it a go.

Philosophy had a promotion giving out samples of this new mask recently. Since trying it I have to say, it is a winner! I have big pores since teen years (as long as I can remember) and had trouble with blackheads and whiteheads for over 2 decades!  The mask features white clay, salicylic acid as star ingredients that work on keeping pores clean and giving them a good clean. The full ingredient list for those who have allergies: Water, Kaolin clay, Solum Diatomeae/Diatomaceous Earth/Terre De Distomees, Propanediol, Bentonite clay, Decyl Glucoside, Alchol Denat., Lauryl Glucoside, Propylene Glycol, Polysilicone-11, PVP, Xanthan Gum, Sailicylic Acid, Sodium PCA, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Fragrance, Chlorphenesin, Linalool, Disodium EDTA, Limonene, Laureth-12, Phenoxyethanol, Geraniol, Vanillyl Butyl Ether, Ethylhexylglycerin, Titanium Dioxide After application it is recommended to leave the mask for 5-10 minutes until mask dries out. I left it a bit longer. It stiffens the face, so it was funny trying to make  facial expressions! Make sure that you do masking when relaxing and solo....or doing house chores.  Mask is white, scent light, of clay, perhaps a hint of vanilla. After rinsing it off without any problems (some masks take hard scrubbing to wipe off, not this one, it just melts away), skin was left soooo smooth, all grime taken off, pores looking much healthier, cleaner. Did not experience tight face after unlike with some other mud/clay masks...this one did not dehydrate my skin. Big plus, skin looks bright and smoothness gives that youthful healthy glow. What an exfoliator! Without scrubbing, skin felt as it has been scrubbed well, without accompanying redness.  This mask gives such an amazing results in making pores look smaller, keeping and making them clean....that it is worth every $.

Pros: does what it says it does Cons: a little harsh on sensitive skin This is a great exfoliating mask, my skin feels cleaner after using it and I cannot fault the product. I enjoy the gentle stinging sensation that makes me feel like it's working. Does unblock pores successfully. It feels very strong with chemical and physical exfoliants together, therefore cannot use it as much as I'd like to and is harsh on open pimples. Would recommend

I received quite a generous sample of this from Philosophy a few weeks ago and was quite excited to try it. I have sensitive combination skin quite prone to congestion and blemishes and have tried many products over the years to try and remove my blackheads on my nose with very little success.  The Philosophy pore extractor mask is applied on cleansed skin and is a thin ,creamy white texture with fine exfoliating grains. It has quite a strong scent when applied and goes on smoothly and easily. You only need to apply a thin layer as it is quite a powerful treatment. It is then left on for 10 to 15 minutes and you can feel it working, drawing out oil and congestion as it dries. When rinsed off ,my skin was definitely smoother feeling and my pores looked smaller! What amazed me even more was after just 2 uses about half the blackheads on my nose seemed to have vanished! These were deep set ones I had not had any success with removing for years! I'm quite impressed and will be buying the full size soon as this sample has run out. I did however learn after my first use not to apply this to my entire face and applied to tzones only as it was a bit too drying for the rest of my face which isn't as oily as my nose and chin. Pros *Really decongests skin and reduces pore size,blackheads and balances oily areas. *Fantastic ingredients for acne prone skin (white clay,salicylic acid) *Fantastic and visible results after just 2 uses Cons *Only apply to problem areas as opposed to whole face if you have sensitive skin as it is quite a strong mask and may cause dryness and irritation. 

Philosophy Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Exfoliating Clay Mask actually shrinks my huge pores in 5-10 minutes!! I have tried countless masks in my time and I can tell you that I love this mask! It smells fresh and citrusy. I like to use it as a weekly detox for my pores to sloth away dead skin cells and target grime. It is white in colour and contains natural exfoliants that leave my face feeling silky smooth. I can really see a difference in the appearance of my skins texture because my pores are visibly smaller (got to love that!).  My face looks radiant after using it and it tightens like a mini facelift without the knife. Strangely, my skin doesn’t feel dry after using this mask, which is amazing! I have actually found the end result to be better than some facials; my pores have never looked this good after having a facial! Pros: *Smells fresh and citrusy  *Pores look refined * Hydrating * Creates a smooth canvas for my makeup *Quick and easy to use *My face feels cleaner and looks more radiant *A little goes a LONG way  * Draws out and clears up imperfections  *Pores shrink before your very eyes Cons: *A little bit messy but the payoff was worth it *It is ideal for tackling congestion because it draws out impurities leaving me with a few bumps so it is best to used when you don’t have anything special coming up.   A+ I would recommend this mask! 

I've been using this product for about 2 months now and I still don't know how I feel about it. I use it twice a week because the exfoliation the mask provides can be very harsh. The texture of this mask is so strange! It is so soft and airy but a little goes a long way, which is good for the price. After washing off the mask my skin is softer and smoother and I've noticed less blackheads on my nose but nothing crazy great. I was hoping this mask would replace my pore strips for my nose but unfortunately the results aren't great enough to replace them. Great exfoliating and clarifying mask but will not banish blackheads

I am so impressed with the new Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Exfoliating Clay Mask from philosophy. It is so simple and quick to use and the results are instantaneous! As with any clay mask there is a tightening effect as it dries and I find that compared to other clay masks it dries very quickly. Once applied it dries up white in colour and all you need to do is leave it on for 5-10 minutes and then rinse off with warm water. My skin looks and feels very clean and smooth after I use. My pores look smaller and the blackheads around my nose are hardly visible at all! A fantastic mask to clean the pores!

I trialled this product recently, and really enjoyed the experience. Super easy to apply, combining exfoliation and a mask in one. I really liked the tightening sensation as it dried and how it left my skin feeling afterwards. The product delivered in it’s claims of minimising my pores and blackheads and also rejuvenating of my skin. My complexion instantly appeared brighter, and tighter. And the pore/blackhead minimisation was evident within 2 weeks. I was only using once a week though rather than twice. As some other reviewers have mentioned, the mask can be hard to wash off but using a face cloth to aid in removal made it not problem at all. Highly recommend!

Philosophy's Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Exfoliating Clay Mask is the best $48 you will ever spend, if you have spent your life trying to improve your pores and blackheads.  First start by cleansing your skin, then gently patting it dry.    Then squeeze some of the creamy clay out of the tube and smooth it over your face.    The mask is creamy, yet has fine granules in it, so give your skin a light massage in circular directions when you first apply the product, as this will really give your skin a great exfoliation too.     Now the mask dries fairly quickly, but being Kaolin clay, it does not dry rock hard like other clay masks, so your skin wont feel overly dry or taut.     The mask also contains salicylic acid and natural exfoliants so your skin will feel clean, refreshed and really smooth.   After one use, my skin felt clear and smooth.  After a few uses,  the benefits of this mask became very apparent.   I could hardly see my pores and my blackheads were practically non existent.  I use this this mask once or twice a week,. and with continued use, your skin will clear up and look perfect. PRO's Pores will shrink so much you will hardly see them Blackheads are removed and skin looks so much clearer A great exfoliator, will make your skin soft and smooth A definite investment if you suffer any open pores or blackheads I can't recommend this product highly enough, if you have suffered pores and blackheads for years, be prepared for amazing results.  You might even go makeup free occasionally, which never happened for me prior to using this fabulous mask.

This product makes some big promises and it does not fail to deliver! It truly does clear out blackheads and clean out pores. I love the exfoliatting properties so much that I use it beyond my t zone becuase it leaves my skin feeling so suple and smooth. Warning- apply a thin layer, otherwise it can take some time to get off if you let dry properly!!!

What i like most about this product is that is has a great combination of quality (nice to use, safe for my sensitive skin, nice light scent) and efficacy (strong active ingredients, visible difference in skin). Which is true of pretty much all Philosophy products!  I’ve used the product a handful of times now and I’m really enjoying it. It gives a visible different in the clarity of the skin around my nose. Definitely helps with blackheads which is my main concern. I’m looking forward to seeing results with prolonged use.  It’s a nice thick texture on the skin but it can take a bit to wash off. I like to apply it before I jump in the shower and let the running water take it off. 

This product is really intriguing — it’s a clay mask with a mix of chemical and physical exfoliants. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone with particularly dry or sensitised skin, but if your skin is feeling oily and congested this feels so refreshing and really evens out the skin (and miraculously removes my stubborn nose blackheads). I also have to mention the packaging is fantastic; a plastic squeeze tube that makes it easy and relatively mess-free to dispense and no fear of braking it if dropped!

Fantastic product, that I would highly recommend! The mask dries really quickly unlike other masks I have tried and was also easy to remove. I noticed immediate results after using the mask, my complexion look flawless and my pores were obviously smaller. The smell of the product was also really lovely.

Love this product! It doubles as a mask and an exfoliator so it’s texture it’s gritty but super thick also. I have used this each week now and have definitely seen a reduction in the size of my pores and the blockages. I also have sensitive skin but this product did not cause any redness or stinging which is a plus. Because of this I will definitely be including this product in my regime!

I have been trialing the Philosophy Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Exfoliating Clay Mask for a few weeks now, and whilst I felt the packaging was very packaging was a bit cluncky and not really sure why it needed 2 sets of packaging, however that aside, I really liked the product. I liked that it had a flip top lid which makes application easy especially when you have the product on your hands. I really like the mask and found it to be very good quality as as an effective product. I used it twice a week for 2 weeks and after the first week I already noticed a difference. I have already recommended this product to others who have even oilier skin than I have and hope they have great results also. I really like Philosophy Purity as a brand and have always found their products to be of very high quality and I find that this is the case also with this product and I will continue to use this brand.

Finally a product that works! I’ve always struggled with blackheads, and I’ve tried every product I’ve come across but nothing has helped at all. It doesn’t get completely rid of my blackheads, but it does work and I can see a a big difference so I’ll definitely keep using it and will repurchase! Really easy to use and my skin feels so smooth after! 

Oh my what a product!!  This product was so easy to apply, i applied by hand to really massage/exfoliate my skin. Then let set before removing with a face washer. Instantly after removing the product, my skin felt and looked amazing and refreshed! It literally scrubbed away the blackheads and minimized the appearance of my pores, (who would not love that!!! )   I definitely felt the product did exactly what it says it does, the product is perfect for an oily skin and anyone wanting to remove blackheads and the appearance of their pores and draw any impurities from the skin. Hands down you should have this in your weekly skin routine!!!! 

Absolutely loved this product! Probably one of the most enjoyable pampering experiences I've ever had at home. The exfoliating mask covers goes on well with each application, with gentle microbeads to massage and exfoliate the skin before the clay sets on the face to draw out impurities and reduce pores.The scent is really sweet, slightly floral, so I didn't mind waiting the full 10 minutes recommended for it to set. Once I'd removed the mask, I noticed skin instantly looked brighter, more dewy and fresh faced. Friends even commented the next morning that I looked glowing - I'm sure it was the mask as I hadn't changed my make-up routine!  I have oily skin so this was ideal for me. Will definitely be using this as part of my weekly beauty ritual!
