Amazing

Inlove the scent of this shampoo. It reminds me of going to the hair dressers. I am a sucker for a good smelling shampoo! And this one definitely smells nice. This shampoo does everything it says it does! Which is sometimes hard to find. I have damaged ends and sometimes oily roots and this shampoo evened that out for me and left my hair feeling hydrated, clean and smooth. I paired this shampoo with the matching phrenology hydrate conditioner. This shampoo allows me to go a week between washing if I really push it.
I must admit I first bought this shampoo on scent alone as it’s smell amazing and it you love essential oils you will too. After  a few uses it not only smelled fabulous but it does everything it says, I have oily roots and dry ends and it balanced them out after every wash. My hair normally needs washing every other day but I could go 3-4 days between washes so product lasted me a lot longer than other shampoos.
I wish I could give this 5 stars but for me it just isn't hydrating enough, if anything I find it drying. Such a shame because using more natural products is really important to me. I avoid sulphates and parabens like the plague and this range ticks those boxes.  For reference, I have long, fine, curly hair with highlights and balayage. This basically means a dry, frizzy mess if i don't use the correct products for me. Unfortunately, while this product sounds perfect for me, it just doesn't deliver for me personally. That being said, plenty of people swear by it so it's definitely worth a try if you have dry, frizzy or colour treated hair it is worth a go as it may work for you! Oh, and it's also a vegan product if this is something that is important to you :)  As a side note, the mask in this range works well as a conditioner for me so I give that a higher rating but it is not listed on Beauty Crew as yet.
I've never really seen the point in shampoos made for coloured/highlighted hair, having experienced in the past ones that made no difference at all....this was until I used the Pureology Hydrate shampoo. I love the packaging as it can lie top down meaning that the last bit of shampoo can be easily removed.  Even though the price of the product is higher that the average shampoo, this shampoo will last for ages and you need only a small amount for each wash, making it great value for money.  I have thick highlighted hair and I noticed a visible difference after the first shampoo, the highlights appeared brighter and not brassy at all, and my hair never feels dry when I use this shampoo. I would highly recommend this shampoo!!
Having troublesome hair I am extremely picky when choosing hair products. With dry mid-lengths and ends but an oily scalp, it is a difficult feat to find a product which can treat all concerns in the one go. Pureology's Hydrate range has exceeded my expectations without a doubt because it tends to both concerns. The foaming creamy shampoo gently removes oil from the scalp and hair strand by strand; and at the same time Pureology Hydrate Shampoo hydrates hair and maximises colour retention with its 'AntiFadeComplex' technology. Its ZeroSulfate formula is unique as most products free of sulfates fail to lather up but Hydrate Shampoo lathers to perfection, ensuring that hair is clean from roots to tips. Enriched with organic botanicals rose, sandalwood and green tea, you can be sure that this impressive formula smells as good as it performs, and the packaging is oh-so-chic as well. I really love the flat base on the lid so that the bottle can sit 'upside down' as it ensures the product is never stuck on the bottom of the bottle, instead emerging with ease. Hydrate Shampoo is also enriched with the likes of soy to strengthen, oat to calm and soothe as well as wheat, ylang ylang, bergamot and patchouli. It smells heavenly, performs beautifully and works wonders overall. In fact I am so impressed that I will now make sure I always have a bottle of Pureology Hydrate Shampoo on hand. It is also the perfect travelling companion and has been with me to Fiji and interstate travels because I know it will keep my hair in tip-top condition. While this shampoo does assist with hair colour retention, my hair never has the exact result once I leave the hairdressing salon, but Hydrate Shampoo does protect the colour, preventing my clean blonde colour from looking brassy. A little goes a long way and for anyone with fine hair (or not a lot), I would recommend a 10 cent piece being more than enough once foamed up with water. If like me you have a lot of hair or a really oily scalp then I would double that application, foaming it with water of course and then rinsing before repeating. Hydrate Shampoo never dries hair out which is really refreshing to see as many 'hydrating' shampoos on the market do. I am really pleased with this product - it offers complete value for money and I will use it for many years to come.
