Not as good as the other products in the range
I really hoped that I would love this shampoo, but to be honest I found it slightly lackluster. It doesn't lather as well as many other shampoos I've tried, so you'd need to use a decent amount to get a good lather. It also left my hair drier than usual immediately after the wash, so the matching Elvive conditioner, nourishing though it may be, was unable to counteract this dryness.
I do love the scent of the shampoo though- it has a slightly floral smell so it left my hair smelling very nice and fresh.
Healthy and hydrated hair
I found the L’Oreal Elvive Hyaluron Pure 72hr rehydrating purifying shampoo made my hair feel so silky, soft and hydrated! I used the shampoo, conditioner and serum from the same range all together; and wasn’t expecting my hair to look and feel this good! My hair is shoulder length, bleached and I straighten it, so it can be dry and damaged but with oily roots - this shampoo has me stroking my soft hair all the time! Lightly scented almost undetectable, and a small amount lathers a long way! Definitely recommend
Game Changer Shampoo
The L’Oréal Paris Elvive Hyaluron Pure 72H Rehydrating Purifying Shampoo shampoo is fantastic for adding hydration without making my hair feel greasy. It lathers nicely and rinses clean, leaving my hair feeling soft and manageable. I love that it helps to purify my scalp while still providing essential moisture. The scent is light and refreshing, not too strong. After using it, my hair feels noticeably cleaner and more hydrated. If you have oily roots and dry ends, this shampoo could be your new best friend. It really balances everything out!
perfect for dry scalps/greasy roots!
I’ve been using this shampoo for a few hair washes now and I’m really impressed with the results. It deeply cleanses the scalp without being harsh and effectively removes product and dry skin build-up on my scalp, which has made a huge difference in how fresh my hair feels. After each wash, my hair is soft, clean, and never greasy—even on day two or three. It works beautifully on its own but pairs even better with the matching scalp serum for an extra deep clean feel. A great choice for anyone needing a reset for their scalp and hair.
Clean hair and lightweight!
I used this with the serum and the conditioner and found that it worked well as a combo. So make sure you use all 3 products together. (Esp the serum!!)
The scent of this shampoo is so nice and refreshing j even get comments on my “fragrance” whenever I wash my hair! But they don’t know my secret!!
It foams up really well, lathers nicely, and leaves my hair feeling really clean. I like how this shampoo makes my hair feel clean and lightweight.
I only wash my hair every 3-5 days so by the time it’s hair washing day it’s quite oily so this shampoo helps get rid of product build up (mainly dry shampoo) but I find that u don’t need to wash it as often which is AMAZING!
The bottle is quite big and you don’t need to actually use a lot of product to foam up (and I have long hair!)
This range is accessible as I saw it in the shops which is good becos when I run out I’m definitely getting another one! I have tried the older version and I think it left my scalp and hair feeling a llot lighter.
Great shampoo
I’ve been using this shampoo for a few weeks, and it’s become a standout in my haircare routine. As someone with fine, oily roots but dry ends, finding a shampoo that cleanses thoroughly without stripping moisture has been a challenge, but this one delivers. The lightweight, gel-like lather feels refreshing and effectively removes buildup without leaving my scalp tight or flaky. The hyaluronic acid really works, my hair stays hydrated and smooth for days, and I’ve noticed fewer flyaways. The 72H freshness claim holds up well for me; my roots stay oil-free longer than with most shampoos, though I still need dry shampoo by day three. The fresh, clean scent lingers subtly, which I love.
Blotting paper effect
I really enjoyed this shampoo, I used it with the conditioner and scalp serum!
I found this to lather quite nicely with a thin textured feel.. it wasn't thick and hard to move around my scalp/hair, nor did it make my hair dry and stick together in a matted mess before conditioner!
The smell is pleasant without being overpowering and a little goes a long way, even though I double cleanse since I have an oily scalp in recent years and more so after the day I wash my hair!
I would repurchase for the clean hair/scalp feel without it drying out my hair likeca lot of other oily/clarifying shampoos!
Detox the roots whilst hydrating hair ends
I've been using the L'Oreal Elvive Hyaluron Pure 72h Rehydrating Purifying Shampoo in conjunction with the conditioner and scalp serum from the same range. It's packaged in a large 340ml bottle with a flip top lid and has a really nice fresh fragrance. It contains salicylic acid to purify and detox the scalp - great for anyone with scalp issues that needs re-balancing and hyaluronic acid to restore hydration back to dry hair. I really enjoyed using the range as it left my hair feeling fresh and clean. It also felt soft and silky to touch.
As there was limited time to trial the product and test the 72hr claims, I'm looking forward to trying the range for longer to see if it prevents oily roots from returning within 72hrs as often my hair is oily at the roots within 48hrs and I need to use dry shampoo as part of my routine between washing my hair.
Amazing shampoo
This shampoo is amazing! It leaves my scalp feeling so fresh and clean which I haven’t found in other products. Paired with the elvive hyaluron pure serum and the conditioner my hair has never felt so soft and looked so shiny. My hair feels weightless without losing volume. I can now also go a lot longer without washing my hair as I don’t get lots of buildup on my scalp or super oily. I will continue to use this in my hair routine and will purchase again once I have finished it.
I highly recommend this shampoo to everyone especially if you have a dry and flaky scalp or a oily scalp and hair!
Hydration at its finest
I’ve been using the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Hyaluron Pure 72H Rehydrating Purifying Shampoo for about a week now, and honestly, I’m really impressed. My hair is naturally oily at the roots but tends to feel dry and a bit brittle toward the ends, especially if I use anything too harsh or stripping. I’ve been on the hunt for a shampoo that can cleanse my scalp thoroughly without leaving the rest of my hair feeling like straw, and this might be the best I’ve found in a while.
First impressions: the packaging is sleek and user-friendly, like most of the Elvive range. The scent is light, clean, and slightly floral, which I love. it smells fresh without being overpowering or perfume-y. The consistency of the shampoo is a bit more lightweight and gel-like than creamy, which makes sense for a formula that’s meant to purify and hydrate at the same time. When I applied it, it lathered up beautifully with just a small amount, which is always a plus. A lot of shampoos aimed at oily hair can feel a bit too squeaky-clean, but this one strikes a really nice balance. It gave me that fresh, deep-clean feeling on my scalp, but my lengths didn’t feel stripped or dry afterward. In fact, after rinsing it out, my hair already felt soft and manageable before I even used conditioner (I’ve been pairing it with the Hyaluron Pure 72H Rehydrating Conditioner, and they work really well together).
The real test for me is always how my hair feels over the next couple of days. Normally by the end of day two, I’m reaching for dry shampoo and tying my hair back, but I’ve noticed that since using this shampoo, my roots stay noticeably fresher longer. The 72-hour claim might be a bit of a marketing stretch for some hair types, but for me, I can definitely go a full two days without that greasy feeling creeping in, which is a definite win! I can say that the standout ingredient here is the hyaluronic acid, which is usually more common in skincare. In this formula, it seems to help maintain hydration in the lengths while the rest of the shampoo cleanses the scalp effectively. I think that’s what really makes the differenc and it purifies without over-drying. If you have very dry, thick, or curly hair, you might find this isn’t hydrating enough on its own, but for anyone with normal to oily hair, especially if you’ve struggled to find something that controls oil without compromising on softness, this is definitely worth trying.
L’Oréal’s Hyaluron Pure Shampoo has quickly become a staple in my haircare routine. It gives that satisfying, clean feel without the dryness that often comes with clarifying products. My hair feels lighter, healthier, and more balanced, and I genuinely look forward to wash days now. Plus, it’s affordable and easy to find. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone dealing with oily roots or scalp buildup who still wants soft, hydrated hair.
Great shampoo
Just started using the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Hyaluron Pure 72H Rehydrating Purifying Shampoo, and honestly, I'm already kind of obsessed. My scalp had been feeling dry and a bit itchy, but this stuff lathers up so nicely and leaves my hair feeling super fresh without that squeaky, stripped feeling. It’s lightweight and smells amazing — really clean and not too strong. I can’t say yet if it lasts the full 72 hours, but so far, my roots look less oily, and my hair feels softer and bouncier. Promising start!
A must for people with an oily scalp & dry ends
I’ve battled with an oily scalp and dry ends for years. It’s always the battle of needing to add moisture to my ends yet not wanting to use something too moisturising that my scalp is oily a day after washing. After using the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Hyaluron Pure 72 hr Rehydrating Purifying shampoo I feel like they have the balance right!
I felt my scalp had a deeper clean removing all of my dry shampoo build up without stripping the ends of moisture. Usually I need to wash my hair 2-3 times before conditioning however with this shampoo I found I only had to wash it twice the first time and then everytime after that it reduced to 1-2 times. It smells great too which is a bonus! I would buy this again - definitely recommend if you’re needing a deep clean that doesn’t strip the moisture out of your ends!
It's a winner.
I’ve been using L’Oréal Paris Elvive Hyaluron Pure 72H Rehydrating Purifying Shampoo for a couple of weeks, and I’m honestly impressed. The shampoo has a creamy texture that lathers up nicely without feeling too heavy, and the scent is light and fresh without being overpowering. It does a great job of cleansing my scalp and hair, leaving my strands softer and smoother without stripping moisture, which is a win for my dry ends. And it definitely keeps my hair feeling nourished longer than most shampoos. Over time, I noticed my hair looks shinier and feels healthier, which is a nice bonus. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something that hydrates without weighing your hair down.
Nourishing and soft
I used this shampoo with the scalp oil and conditioner for the maximum productivity. I found the shampoo to smell lovely and clean and lathered up really well, only a small amount is needed and I have long, thick hair.
I usually have to use a large amount of conditioner after washing my hair due to it not feeling nourished and tangled, but I noticed that when using this shampoo my hair felt soft and nourished without even putting the conditioner on.
After using the conditioner and drying my hair, it looks and feels amazing. My roots feel soft and nourished like the rest of my hair and I have been able to visibly see the difference in my roots being less oily.
L’Oréal hydration shampoo
I received this shampoo as part of the review crew. Firstly, I really like the colour combination of the packaging. The purple and teal colours are really visibly appealing to the eye. The bottle itself i find is the standard L’Oréal shampoo bottle packaging.
I find the shampoo cleaned well, however, I found my ends were quite dry so perhaps it felt a little too over stripping for my mid to ends.
I also find it too heavily scented. I didn’t really like the fragrance. I wish they would not make it so strong in fragrance so it does not give me a headache or clash with the perfume which I am going to wear.
Highly recommended!
To be honest, I’ve never used a L’Oréal shampoo and conditioner I didn’t like (for different reasons). This one is no different, it works really well. It leaves my hair feeling soft, silky, shiny and clean. I don’t have especially oily hair but wash my hair twice a week as the oil starts to build up on the scalp and twice a week keeps it fresh. But using this, with the matching conditioner, means that I now get 7 days between wash days. For someone who doesn’t like to spend time on their hair but needs to look stylish and put together, this is a game changer. I will purchase this again. Price is also very affordable and L’Oréal products ads often on special.
It smells Devine but definitely clarify
The L’Oréal Paris Elvive Hyaluron Pure 72H Rehydrating Purifying Shampoo is pretty good at being a clarifying shampoo however it doesn’t feel hydrating. It feels like it just clarifies really well. Which isn’t particularly a bad thing but I was hoping this range would keep some moisture in my hair. Using the full range I found that my hair felt quite dry after use. And even though I wanted something that would help to control the oil production. I still wanted to have hydrated and silky hair. I feel like you can’t achieve all of the above with this range unfortunately. The smell is incredible and I definitely don’t think that the range is bad but it definitely clarifies the hair and the scalp.
Game charger for greasy scalp
I’ve been using the L'Oréal Paris Elvive Hyaluron Pure 72H Rehydrating Purifying Shampoo and am amazed at how eliminates extra oil from scalp and hair and gives 72hrs of fresh hair- perfect as I don’t always have time to wash and style daily. The shampoo was quite foamy in hair, therefore I didn’t need as much as I normally use, and delivered a deep cleanse to hair and scalp making it feel so clean. I followed with conditioner in same range and hair felt, deep cleanse but amazingly soft. My hair felt so light after styling and it lasted for days- I’m so impressed. I
Reduced Oil
L’Oréal Paris Elvive Hyaluron Pure 72H Rehydrating Purifying Shampoo has been really great for my oily hair.
From the first use, I noticed a real difference in how clean and refreshed my scalp felt. While it didn’t completely change my hair-washing routine overnight, it definitely extended the time between washes by an extra day or two, which is a big win for me. My hair still felt light, fresh, and manageable even on day three, which is usually when it starts to feel oily and weighed down.
Overall, I would absolutely use this shampoo again. It’s a great option for anyone with oily roots or combination hair who’s looking for a product that cleanses thoroughly without compromising hydration. A solid addition to my haircare routine! P.s. I really enjoyed the smell!
Perfect for oily scalp
I’ve been using the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Hyaluron Pure 72H Rehydrating Purifying Shampoo and Conditioner and I’m honestly impressed. The shampoo foams up beautifully and gives my scalp that super clean feeling without ever feeling too harsh or stripping. It really gets to the roots and removes buildup well. The conditioner is the perfect follow-up. It leaves my hair feeling silky smooth, light, and hydrated. I also love the scent. It smells fresh and clean and lingers just enough. My hair feels soft, bouncy, and refreshed every time I use this combo. I absolutely love this combo and highly recommend it.
