Redken High Rise Shampoo

The problem with my hair has always been that it’s flat and sticks to my scalp. My hairdresser told me to use volume maximising shampoo and so I gave this Redken high rise volume product a go. I really wanted to like it as people have spoken highly about Redken products in the past. The product smelt really nice (just the right amount of fragrance but not too overpowering). Texture of the shampoo is smooth and easy to apply. I lather it over my whole head and a small amount does go a long way.  After multiple uses, I notice that my hair feels quite soft and Iight. I wouldn’t say I noticed a huge difference with volume which is what I was after. My hair was not bouncy nor was it notably easier to style, especially near my scalp which is where I wanted most volume. I think this is still a good shampoo in general, but not exactly for volume maximising purposes. I also think for the price you pay, there may be other products which offer better value. 

As fine haired lass I am always on the hunt for the perfect shampoo and conditioner duo to bulk up my hair.  I am not a fan of sleek hairstyles on me and need volume and bounce to balance out my fine features and long neck. Recently I was given the opportunity to try the Redken high rise shampoo (and matching conditioner) and it was love at first lather. The fresh fragrance reminds me of the ocean and helps to enliven my senses and get me moving in the morning - not a mean feat I have to admit. Whilst I normally double shampoo my hair, if I am in a hurry I am able to get by with just one application. It removes the build up of my styling products easily and my hair feels beautifully clean and fresh. Once I have rinsed I can feel the extra volume in my hair - even before applying the conditioner. I finish off my routine by conditioning my hair with the matching conditioner and once I've towel dried my hair I am left with hair that is clean and full of body. I add my volumising styling products, dry my hair and I am ready to face the day. I think I may have found 'the one'.
