a great everyday lipstick
The first thing I noticed was how smooth it felt going on. It goes on very easily lips without dragging or feeling heavy.
this feeling of comfort extended into how easy it was to wear; the soft, creamy texture feels moisturizing — almost like a thick balm but with the full pigment of a lipstick. My lips stayed soft, and there was no flaking or that dry, tight feeling you get with some cheap matte lipsticks. I do recommend prepping your lips a bit if they’re already dry though. It’s not transfer-proof, so it does come off a bit when eating or drinking, but the colour fades evenly and still leaves a bit of a stain behind. The packaging also feels way nicer than I would expect for a drugstore product. It clicks shut securely and has a nice weight to it. Overall, I think this is a great lipstick - comfortable, feels luxy and easy to wear. It doesn’t overpromise — it’s not the most long-lasting product ever — but what it does, it does really well.
1 star lost because the colour wasn't my favourite and i think for the full 5 stars most colours should be flattering for most colourings (maybe standards are too high but i'm so sick of finding new shades then them being discontinued and having to find new ones!!)
Smooth and classic red
This red lipstick has a creamy texture that glides smoothly on the lips, which I really like. It’s not drying at all, a big plus for me since my lips tend to get dry easily. However, it can smudge quite easily if not applied carefully. Also it tends to fade or disappear after eating. It’s also a bit tricky to reapply on the go, not the kind of lipstick you can just swipe on quickly in a washroom mirror. Overall, it’s a nice, classic red shade, nothing particularly special, but a good addition to my red lipstick collection. Not one I’d reach for daily, though.
A vibrant creamy lip stick
Absolutely loved the packaging of this lipstick, it has a fun glamourous feel about it. Which certainly compliments the colour I tried.
I love the finish of this lipstick, it isn't a matte finish but also overly glossy either, I would say its a shine finish. This lipstick feels increadibly creamy and hydrating once applied, which I loved.
I also feel as those the tone looked different on different skin tones, it certainly gave a more orange-red when I wore it, but was a typical red one my sister in law.
This colour of lipstick isnt one I would normally wear, so I found it tedious to apply, which was then very annoying when it didn't last too long, as it isn't a colour I could typically top-up in the bathroom without a lip brush.
Nothing to rave about
The colour range was quite good and could be quite versatile in terms of event wear, my main problem was that it was quite drying and it wasn’t long lasting, I’d find myself having to apply a layer every time I’d have a drink and practically disappeared after eating.
I probably wouldn’t buy it again, I just feel this was an okay lipstick, there was nothing super standout about it that I would feel the need to re-buy even though the price point was definitely affordable, there are other drugstore brands that would be longer lasting and less drying.
Perfect everyday nude lipstick
I was looking for a new lipstick for everyday use, and I’m honestly really impressed. The shade I got was *Rosewood*, and it’s a beautiful deep pinky nude that feels both classic and modern — perfect for both work and casual wear.
The first thing I noticed was how smooth it felt going on. It glides easily across the lips without dragging or feeling heavy, and the colour payoff is strong with just one swipe. I didn’t have to layer it much at all, which I really appreciate since I’m usually in a rush in the mornings.
What really sold me on this lipstick was how comfortable it feels. It has a soft, creamy texture that feels moisturizing — almost like a tinted balm but with the full pigment of a lipstick. My lips stayed soft for hours, and there was no flaking or that dry, tight feeling I sometimes get with other lipsticks. I do recommend prepping your lips a bit if they’re already dry, but for me, it wore beautifully.
It’s not transfer-proof, so it does come off a bit when eating or drinking, but the colour fades evenly and still leaves a bit of a stain behind. I didn’t mind reapplying once during the day — especially since it doesn’t feel thick or cakey even with touch-ups.
The packaging also feels more luxurious than I expected for a drugstore product. It clicks shut securely and has a nice weight to it.
Overall, I think this is a great lipstick for anyone who wants something comfortable, flattering, and easy to wear. It doesn’t overpromise — it’s not the most long-lasting product ever — but what it does, it does really well. I’ve already gone back for a second shade.
Non drying, can't go wrong
I liked the formula of this product, it has a nice satin finish and is highly pigmented. It did not dry my lips which was a major plus for me as MANY lip products that claim to be hydrating tend to majorly dry my lips out. It reminds me of the Charlotte tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G range but much more affordable I have the shade rosewood which pulled a warm pinky brown on my pale olive skin. I prefer a slightly less brown lip colour on myself so shade wise it is not my favourite but the formula was great and I would definitely try a more flattering shade in the same range.
Great for everyday.
I received the Rosewood colour as part of a trial and I had a great positive experience! I am already a fan of the revlon brand and always know their lipsticks suit my needs and can rely on their quality for everyday use. I instantly loved the packaging, quite unexpected from Revlon but felt it helped find the product in my bag! In a sea of black tubes and the same looking packaging, the gold glitter really stood out and I thought that was a great difference.
The lipstick itself was really creamy when applying and I felt it glided on well. It wasn’t completely smudge proof but I didn’t mind that. It gave a satin-like finish without being too drying and worked really well with my existing nude lipliner.
Just as good as Charlotte Tilbury!
I don’t usually buy drugstore or pharmacy lipsticks, but I was excited to try one of the new Revlon Super Lustrous Ultra Lipsticks, even if initially just because of the gorgeous glittery gold packaging, which is so luxe! I tested the lipstick in Rosewood, and I love it. The shade is a really flattering brown nude that works for both daytime and going out- it’s truly the perfect work lipstick shade. The formula feels creamy and comfortable without drying my lips and the colour goes on so smoothly. It easily compares to my high end lipsticks! This has definitely won me over and I’ll be trying more shades.
Pigmented colour and eyecafching packaging
My first impression of this lipstick is the beautiful packaging. The very fun and glitter effect is eye-catching. It is definitely very securely wrapped and once it’s open it has a beautiful gold hardware.
The colour is very pigmented so it gives a very full coverage on the lips. I tried with and without a lip liner to help with the lipstick application. This lipstick has a very creamy finish and left my lips feeling nice without any dryness.
I’d recommend using this lipstick with a lip liner to help with an even application.
Natural, reliable - I like it a lot!
I’ve been trying out the Revlon Super Lustrous Ultra Lipstick in Rosewood and honestly I really love it. The colour is such a nice everyday shade, not too much, not too little. It's just one of those easy ones you can throw on and feel like you’ve done a bit to your face. It goes on so smoothly and doesn’t dry my lips out at all, which happens with a lot of lipsticks i have. I’ve already worn it a bunch of times without even thinking about it. It's one of those lipsticks that travels around with me in my bag because it’s just so easy and reliable. Oh, and the sparkly packaging? Really cute and feels a little fancy, which is fun. I’ve always loved Revlon lipsticks, and this one definitely didn’t disappoint me.e always loved Revlon lipsticks, and this one definitely didn’t disappoint.
Nice tone of red
Nice tone of red and fun packaging. I did find this was transferable but otherwise this is a nice product. I wore it in the daytime and it was a suitable colour pay off for the beginning of the spring season. I find the tone more flattering than a bright orange red. The only thing is that it is transferrable which is fairly normal for most lipsticks really... It was not drying which is good! I would recommend this product to someone if they're looking for a muted red lipstick, the packaging makes it feel more luxurious as an added bonus if that's your thing.
No Detail Spared!
The first thing that caught my attention was the packaging — sleek, glossy, and instantly chic. It has that high-end feel with its black and gold detailing, making it a lipstick I actually enjoy pulling out of my bag.
On application, Firebird glides across the lips with ease. The formula is creamy, comfortable, and feels hydrating enough to skip lip balm underneath. The colour payoff is gorgeous — a vibrant, rich hue that brightens the face and gives that instant “put-together” look, whether you’re going bare-faced or fully glam.
The finish has a satin-like sheen that looks elegant, not over-the-top. Wear time is good, but not bulletproof. It fades evenly, leaving behind a soft tint instead of patchy blotches.
Overall, I’m impressed. Firebird is one of those versatile bolds that works for both day and night, with the kind of packaging you’d expect from a much pricier brand. The formula, comfort, and the luxe look of the case, this lipstick feels like a win.
Lovely every day shade
The Revlon Super Lustrous Ultra Lipstick in Rosewood is such a beautiful shade. It’s natural enough for everyday wear but still gives a polished, put-together look. The formula feels creamy and comfortable on the lips—it glides on smoothly and doesn’t dry them out at all. I love that it has a subtle shine without being too glossy, so it works for both casual days and nights out. The colour lasts well throughout the day, and even as it fades, it does so evenly without looking patchy. It’s the kind of lipstick that makes your lips look healthy and adds a bit of confidence to your look. Overall, it’s a really lovely shade that feels effortless to wear and makes applying lipstick a little moment of enjoyment in the day.
Love the colour but not transfer-proof
I’m normally a stain lipstick kinda gal, so I was curious to try this new Revlon lipstick. I trialled the colour Rosewood, which was a great match for my autumn colour palette.
The first thing I noticed is how creamy this was! It just glides on so smoothly, and you really only need a light touch for bold colour. I ended up blotting a bit away (the colour was more intense than I originally expected) and the colour was gorgeous!
The one thing I noticed was that my lips really didn’t dry out like with other lipsticks or stains. My lips actually felt so moisturised! (Side note: It’s so nice to see makeup brands utilising skincare ingredients now).
So overall: love the colour, love how moisturising it is, and how even after blotting it’s so vibrant and bold.
My only con was that this is not transfer proof. I can imagine having to reapply this multiple times a day, which is why I tend to lean towards lip stains. However for me, the super lustrous lipstick is definitely top of my list now for a non-stain lipstick!
Revlon lipstick shade 009
I recently used this Revlon Super LustrousTM ultra lipstick in the shade 009 and I must say I absolutely loved it! This lipstick has a shiny and smooth finish which provides a clean, effortless and polished look, I love how the shades are quite inclusive working for every skin tone especially for people of colour (POC). This product blends seamlessly, making it suitable for everyday wear .
The consistency of this lipstick felt gentle and soft on my lips , no cracks were to be seen at all! And this product did not make my lips feel rough or dry. Though this product would work much better if this lipstick was long-lasting, so reapplication doesn’t need to happen often. Otherwise I’m definitely purchasing this once again!
Brown girl reviews Fireside.
Revlon has put the fun in lipsticks—First Rum Raisin and now this. I wore the Fireside of the Revlon Super Lustrous™ Ultra Lipstick collection. It's not your usual red-red, it had a red base with a pinkish tint on me. It looks great on a night out with the girls and not so much of a romantic date red. Although I like even if you just dab a bit on the lips, it looks like one of those Korean lip tints. I like how it's buildable. However, to use it as a full coverage lipstick, a lip liner is a must, as the dark tone of my lips was visible on it. Overall, the colour is fun; it's not something I would wear often, but that's just personal preference.
Moisturising but slips
I got this as part of the review crew trial. Really lovely, comfortable and moisturising lippy which is a cool colour (perfect for cooler months). I think the formula is a bit too moisturising as it went outside of my lip line. I might have a better experience with lip liner and blotting it - I need to experiment to get it right to ensure that the slip is minimised. It might also have something to do with the warm QLD weather causing slip. It might work better for girls with wider lips. Love the sparkly packaging and colour though.
Very nice
This Revlon Super Lustrous Ultra Lipstick applies beautifully and has a great texture that looks and feels nice on my lips.
I've been wearing shade rosewood and it's absolutely gorgeous and suits my tan complex really well,i get many compliments.
This is a great day or night wear and the pigment lasts almost all day and only need to reapply once in the afternoon.
I've always had great experiences with Revlon lips sticks and this new range is even better.
I'm keen to add to rest of the shades to my collection.
Cute and luxurious
This lipstick is perfectly packaged and amazing to wear!
I can’t get enough of the gorgeous sparkly little packaging-it makes me want to use it everyday!
I have the colour fireside and it is the perfect red for my cool summer profile. It is easy to apply and so creamy on it doesn’t leave a sticky or thick feeling on the lips.
For a daytime look I have been using it as a light lipliner with a lip balm on top and it gives just the right amount of colour while still being subtle enough for everyday and is a good match to my natural lip colour.
I would definitely recommend this lipstick to all of my friends and family and will be purchasing more in different shades
Very hydrating and pigmented lipstick
I tried Revlon Super Lustrous Ultra Lipstick in Rosewood shade and noticed that it has rich, vibrant colour with a creamy, comfortable formula that glides on effortlessly. Also as it has orchid extract, it helps to keep lips smooth and hydrated without feeling heavy or dry. The packaging comes with a touch of glamour, and the lipstick itself is versatile—can be used at any time of the day or night. Though not fully transfer-proof, it fades evenly and feels nourishing, Therefore, I would recommend this product to my friends and family.
