Skin Republic Gold Hydrogel Face Mask Sheet

This mask has heaps of juice in it! After using the gel mask I keep the leftover from the foil for next use or few (with my micro-current device, to conduct the current, as it is great for that). Hydrates the skin, plumps and leaves somewhat a bit tacky residue. I use it in the evenings, so applying other skincare over it is ok. There is lots of plastic wrappings from top and bottom part of the mask. Plus gel plus the sleeve packaging. Wish these came i a pack and without excess plastic pieces. It is a bit fiddly as it slides around, so can't do chores while masking. I do wear reusable silicone mask over it to hold the hydrogel in place.

The Skin Republic Gold Hydrogel Mask has been formulated to reduce the visible signs of ageing by minimizing the appearance of fine lines. The mask is jam-packed with goodies such as collagen to help restore firmness and reverse the signs of ageing, grapefruit, as well as minerals and antioxidants to restore elasticity, magnesium to improve hydration and carob bean to cleanse and tone the skin. Lastly, it also contains gold to increase blood flow. As per usual with the Skin Republic masks, this one comes in a foil packet. The mask itself is gold in colour and comes in 2 pieces. One covers the top half of the face, including dedicated holes for eyes and the other covers jawline and chin. The first thing I noticed when applying the mask, which was easy to do, was the cooling sensation I felt. Perfect for the warm night I was experiencing. Although having more of a rubber feel than being a typical sheet mask, it stayed on my skin really well and felt comfortable. After around the hour mark I removed the mask and as instructed used the remaining serum to treat neck, decolletage and hands. Surprisingly there was easily enough serum to do all 3. I let the serum absorb into my face. It did stay tacky, but not for too long. My skin felt so hydrated that I didn't bother applying any serums or creams after. Upon inspection of my skin in the mirror, I noticed that my fine lines, especially the ones around my eyes appeared noticeably reduced. My face also had a fresh glow. The Skin Republic masks I have used are amazing and this Gold Hydrogel version is no exception. I love that I can pamper myself at night as I relax and know that the effects will still be apparent on my skin the next day.

I’ve used a few hydrogel masks before and haven’t liked any of them, but the Skin Republic one is different. The mask is a luxe gold two piece covered in serum to give the skin a great hydration boost. Surprisingly this mask is a great fit for the face and sits snugly without sliding around like most others.  After relaxing for 30 minutes I removed the mask and massaged the remaining serum into my skin and down my neck. It absorbs within a minute or two then I follow with my moisturiser to lock in the goodness. After use my skin is brighter, hydrated and has a natural glow. I’ll definitely be purchasing and recommending these masks.

Such a good mask! It comes in two pieces which I love as you can really get the mask in all the books and wrinkles. The material was different to the standard masks although just as easy to apply. It felt so luxe!!  Super hydrating and brightening on the skin and not overpowering with serum Loved it!

Personally I love this mask! I know some people find it a bit trickier because of the material, but I didn't have any trouble at all! It comes in two pieces which I like, and I have to admit the gold does make it feel more special than other masks. I used it on a warm day which was perfect because it had an almost cooling effect when it was on the face. My skin definitely looked brighter and felt more hydrated afterwards; I would definitely recommend.

I purchased this after buying the fabulous collagen hydrogen mask and was SO disappointed! Upon opening the packaging the mask was in two pieces, a mouth and eye piece. Both fell apart even when I handled them. Even after reading the instructions and peeling off the correct backs first. I never actually got to use the product but the mask itself was a bit too delicate to even apply correctly. So disappointed. The other mask was so fabulous!
