Nice lip product - too nude a shade for me

I've been using the Burt's Bees gloss lip crayon in Outback Oasis (401) which I got from a Priceline Goody Bag. Outback Oasis is not a gloss, it's more like a shimmer. It's a frosted nude pink which kind of disappears on my lips although the texture is creamy and non drying. The base of the crayon has a wind up function for smooth winding up and down and the "crayon" itself is bullet shaped. The clear cap holds tight which is always a plus because I hate, hate loose caps on lip products, it means I can't take it with me on the go. It's a nice lip product but not a colour I would have chosen.
Burt’s Bees was a brand i had often seen, but never taken notice of....something i walked past many times, without a second thought,BUT a sale came up and i thought i would give it a try. This Gloss Lip Crayon is a hybrid of balm / gloss / lipstick that contain so many lip loving ingredients(Kendi Oil, Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter),it seems secondary that you get a subtle wash of colour. Now,if convenient is a must for you, this crayon ticks all the boxes (small enough to go in your pocket,no sharpener needed,no mirror needed to apply AND perfect for a "no makeup" weekend look),plus it feels as every bit as lush as it's ingredients would suggest (super hydrating, but not greasy). But what of the hues ? well,6 shades mean you will find one that fits in with any skintone or look you wish to portray, but i am a sucker for "Santorini Sunrise"....it is perfect for a natural look in a perfect coral shade that is more orange than pink, but so wearable. It applies seamlessly into the lips, with a coverage that is excellent, but being a gloss form means you will need to re-apply often to keep that colour going (i wore for 3 hours without eating or drinking)....not a chore though, considering the texture, the ease of application (gotta love a crayon form) and perfect sized tube (not to mention the vanillesque scent and taste). Lastly,i love the pricepoint here...$17 for a tube that lasts for ages with regular use and gives great colour payoff,so go out and give this a try. TIP:Apply over a matte lipstick to give a softer look and feel,as well as add another dimension to the colour.
I like that this lip crayon comes in a good nude colour that I like - it's name is "Sedona Sands" and it is a creamy finish with no sparkles or shimmer in it.  It has a tiny little bit of shine but it's not glossy.  It has more of a mature sheen to it than shine really.  I like that about it and I also like that it feels rich and moisturising.  Sedona Sands is a flattering colour as it has just enough pink in it to be enhance the complexion and make me look a bit healthier.  I don't know if it's just a chemical reaction with my lips but the longer I wear this the pink pigment looks stronger and stronger and the colour seems to change from a beige browny nude hue to one with more pink in it.    It can feel a little bit waxy on my lips so I can feel that it's actually on - I am quite conscious that I'm wearing this lip product.  It feels like a coating on my lips and it feels like it's stopping my lips from becoming dryer from the air too so I suppose it feels sort of protective.  I'm not sure if I like this feeling particularly as I prefer lighter products normally.   I find it hard to detect a scent in this but it smells more waxy (I suppose bees-waxy because it has bees wax in it).  So there is nothing overly special about the smell of it in my view.  I am impressed by the way it is 100% natural ingredients as stated on the tube.  The tube has a clear lid which I don't find always overly secure so I don't tend to keep this one in my bag or anything.  I tend to keep it in the bedroom with the other lip products.   It's a wind-up crayon so it never needs sharpening.  My crayon broke off and plopped out at one stage but that was easy to fix by just sticking the broken bit back in firmly (but not too hard) and then winding it right up and melting it together gently at the join again by holding it carefully near a flame (just not too close to the flame!) until there was a slight melding back together again. There is something special about the Burt's Bee's name - I suppose because bees are so important to the livelihood of humanity - so I have affectionate feelings towards this product because it's made by Burt's Bees.
I generally tend to stay away from lip crayons as I find them too drying on my lips, but this Gloss Lip Crayon by Burt's Bees is beautifully hydrating on the lips. I have this in the Bordeaux Vines (432) shade which is a rich plum colour. It glides on smoothly onto the lips and provides a great burst of colour that is very long lasting. Great crayon for everyday use.
The Burt’s Bees Gloss Lip Crayon is a twist up crayon that features a cute, honeycomb adored lid. Its design allows for ease of use during both application and touch ups, particularly as the crayon itself comes with a tapered tip for more accurate precision. The crayon itself is solid enough to withstand application, unlike some others which can break off if you’re not too careful. While the term ‘gloss’ may have you imagining a sheerer formula, the Burt’s Bees Gloss Lip Crayons are actually amazingly pigmented! They can however, be worn opaque or sheerer, through dabbing the product over the lips for a barely there tint. I have also used them as a light topper on another lipstick for an added sheen to the lips, making them very versatile – a great addition to any makeup collection. The perfect mix of pigmentation and hydration, these crayons deliver a creamy gloss finish, thanks to the Jojoba Oil, Kendi Oil, and Shea Butter in the formula. I found them to be very hydrating on the lips and in term, did not exacerbate any cracks or dryness on the lips once applied. They leave the lips looking full and healthy. Unlike sticky lip gloss formulas, this product does well in staying put on the lips and feels light and comfortable – there’s minimal tackiness. As they are a gloss formula, they don’t have the longevity a long-wear lipstick may have, however, I found the pigmented glossy finish of the Burt’s Bees Gloss Lip Crayons to last a good 3-4 hours. While reapplication was needed, particularly after eating or drinking, the darker shades, such as Bordeaux Vines also leave a slight tint on the lips as it wears throughout the day, ensuring any wear-off is minimally noticeable. The lasting hydration is a winning feature of this product, for me, particularly in the colder months.
I have been this crayon. I have this in Sedona Sands which is a nude pinky tone which I love! The crayon has a dual roll of lip liner and lipstick in one. It has a creamy long wearing texture. It's non drying to the lips and being a Burts Bees product you know it's full of nourishing ingredients and is all natural with no nasties. This crayon goes with me everywhere! I literally wear it daily! It's a great price that doesn't break the bank! Absolutely love it!
I love Burts Bees Gloss lip crayon because it contains the perfect combination of colour and moisture to leave my lips hydrated and looking great. The overall texture was not sticky and it didn't bleed. I was surprised how long the colour lasted but does need reapplication after meals. I especially loved the Pacific Coast and Tahitian Sunset shades as they were the perfect shades of red without being too dark or incompatible with my complexion. But there are many colours to choose from and are relatively inexpensive. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to give some life to their lips and keep them smooth and supple throughout the day.
I love Burt Bee's range, they have a great range of colours and great quality products! The colours are quite opaque and are a gloss finish like the product states. I love that Burt Bees also provide products that have good ingredients while also using natural ingredients.  Great size too!
I never dreamed that one day, as a 30-year old adult woman, I'd be using crayons as lipsticks but hey welcome to 2017 folks. These are pretty great at keeping decent colour on your lips for long periods of time and especially after eating two bowls of pasta at lunch with the girls.
This is a great product for its gorgeous colours and moisturising qualities, I really loved it. I love burts bees products anyway and this lip crayon was really lovely. I tried redwood forest, the colour pigment was strong and it lasted for hours without having to reapply. My lips felt hydrated and moisturised with great coverage, the colour didnt bleed at all which was a bonus as I hate lipsticks that just slide off. perfect size for a makeup bag, this also left a nice gloss that was really flattering and was not sticky, it felt more like a balm, really loved this product and will buy more colours
I absolutely love Burts Bees Lip Crayons they are smooth, long wearing rich in colour and a Devine all natural product. I would recommend Burts Bees Lip Crayons to anyone looking for a full cover lipstick without the nasties. The Lip Crayons also come in a wide variety of colours to suit your skin tone A+++
I was really impressed with the Burts Bees Gloss lip crayon as it delivered a beautiful shot of colour in the convenience of a crayon! Good quality lip coverage and lips felt moisturised and hydrated. Fantastic size (perfect for handbags/clutch). I am in love with the colour " Napa Vineyard (435)". Perfect for a night out!
