Move over balayage, there’s a new hair trend in town. Similar to the ombré look, hair painting has taken over red carpets and is an incredibly genius way to lighten your hair, without a whole lot of commitment, plus it’s pretty low maintenance.
“Hair painting has been one of the biggest trends this year, and is great for medium to long hair,” says hairstylist Elyston Hayden. “Next time you’re at the hairdressers, ask for free-hand colour application followed by some micro-foils for a customised finish.” And take this gallery along as your style inspiration.
