Zendaya reveals her Holy Grail highlighter hack

And it’s an absolute bargain!

Zendaya’s makeup always looks flawless. What’s even more impressive is the singer and actress is known to create most of her glamorous looks for red carpet events herself! That’s why when news broke that the 20-year-old was set to launch an app, beauty lovers the world over went into a frenzy with the hope she’d start sharing her makeup secrets and maybe even a tutorial or two.

Now that the app has landed, it’s fair to say she hasn’t disappointed. In a recent blog post she shared her favourite pharmacy-available products. It turns out Zendaya’s Holy Grail multi-purpose product for healing scars, moisturising her lips, soothing cracked feet and conditioning her eyelashes and brows is none other than the petroleum-based ointment, Aquaphor.

What’s more is she also revealed she uses the salve (which has a similar consistency to Vaseline), as a highlighter primer. “I dab Aquaphor where I want my highlight to be. Then I put my highlighter on top and boom!” Boom is exactly right. We can’t count the number of times we’ve sat in awe of her radiant glow!

We already knew Vaseline had a multitude of uses (it can tame frizz, add instant shimmer to eyelids and prevent fake tan disasters to name just a few) but if the slick texture of the salve doesn’t tickle your fancy then Aquaphor’s balmier consistency might be the perfect option to try.
