According to research conducted by Cosmetify

Beauty Crew Digital Content Editor / November 20 2019

To produce The Hottest Beauty Brands Of 2019 report, Cosmetify considered five major factors: the increase in consumer interest as shown on Google, overall brand searches each month, the number of Instagram followers and hashtags, and the brand’s engagement rate on social media.

From these factors, not only was determined The Body Shop is Australia’s favourite beauty brand, the brand also took out the top spot in the UK, Norway, Denmark, New Zealand, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia!

TBH, we can’t say we’re surprised!

The Body Shop has been around for over 40 years – it was first established in England before it arrived in Australia in the late ‘80s, and it’s become a hugely popular brand thanks to its affordable, high-quality beauty offering.

It's FEMINIST FRIDAY 👊 "I came out of the womb as an activist. I'm part of the 1960s; it's in my DNA." - Dame Anita Roddick. Our founder, the inexorable Dame Anita Roddick dedicated her life to campaigning for some of the world's biggest issues; she was a human rights activist, environmental campaigner and feminist. Today on Feminist Friday, and the week of her birthday, we're commemorating just some of her many amazing achievements. From campaigning against domestic violence to challenging the way the beauty industry talks to women, head to our story to discover how Anita made her mark in business, and on the world. Head to our story and learn about some of her inspiring activist moments. #TheBodyShopAust #FeministFriday #FemaleEmpowerment #AnitaRoddick

The range features everything from skin care to cosmetics and body products, and it’s all produced in line with The Body Shop’s strong ethos surrounding sustainability, animal testing, ethical trade and support for human rights issues. As of October, the brand is now also a Certified B Corporation.

Now you know that we are B Corp certified. But how did we achieve this? Here are just two initiatives that helped The Body Shop meet B Corp certification: * Our history of engaging customers in our activist campaigns, including its Forever Against Animal Testing campaign. We also played a big role in influencing legislation and speaking to lawmakers to end animal testing in cosmetics worldwide for good. * Our commitment to empowering people and communities around the world through its Community Trade programme. This allows The Body Shop to source ingredients from expert producers in exchange for a fair price, so they can improve their livelihood and invest in social and environmental projects that benefit their communities. We have done this for over 30 years. Find out more via the link in our bio! #BCorp #TheBodyShopAust
