8 of the best blushes for a springtime flush
A pop of colour never hurt nobody

In our books, blush is and always will be a necessity.
After coating our faces in a myriad of tone-correcting base products such as foundation and concealer, there is no quicker way to reestablish a source of life than by draping our cheekbones, temples, nose, and any other acceptable body part in layers of flush-inducing blush.
We’ve taken the liberty of rounding up eight blushes that we love for just that reason (and we hope you do too).
Rose Inc Blush Divine Radiant Lip & Cheek Color
In case you hadn’t heard the joyful news, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s beauty brand Rose Inc has finally landed in Australia. Our first port of call when sampling the model’s wares? Her radiant lip and cheek colour duo, which imparts an impressive pop of velvet-smooth colour to cheeks. Don’t believe us? Just take a scroll through the 34-year-old’s Instagram account where you can see the skin care-infused (squalane, vitamin E, and ceramides if you were wondering) formula in action.

PATRICK TA Monochrome Moment Velvet Blush
Another exciting launch that just landed downunder? None other than celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta’s range of glow-inducing beauty products. The makeup artist has managed to squeeze some serious makeup and skin care technology into his blush, including patented biomimetic pigments that mimic the skin’s natural ceramides, ensuring the product adheres to skin and promotes true colour payoff. Then there’s the moisturiser-coated silken powders, which help the product to melt into skin, and micronized pigments alongside treated mica to create a luminous finish.

RARE BEAUTY Soft Pinch Liquid Blush
We know, we know, liquid blush sounds very scary and like a mess just waiting to happen, but trust us when we say that this blush delivers the kind of natural flush that will align you with the glorious cheeks of the brand’s creator, Selena Gomez. Lightweight and available in a range of matte and dewy finishes, you can easily amp up your makeup look with an electric shock of colour or keep things more natural with one of the eight shades on offer.

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Stick Blush
Creamy, blendable and a dream to apply, this is honestly our go-to no-fuss blush. Seriously, you’d have to be a complete novice to all things makeup to mess this one up. Play your cards right and opt for one of the more neutral tones in the range (‘Peachy Keen’ is our personal favourite) and it’s basically just like wearing a cream bronzer with a bit of extra punch to it. Utilise the built-in brush if you please or buff into cheekbones using your go-to stippling brush.

NUDESTIX Nudies Bloom All Over Dewy Color Blush
A no-brainer in the cream blush category, Nudestix has recently released a new dewy cheek colour formula that instills the kind of glistening radiance that makes you look like a runway model (Gigi Hadid we’re coming for your gig). Just like the brand’s OG blush formula, this dewy offering is long-wearing, water-resistant and can be used on everything from cheeks to lips, and even lids – love a multitasker.

Ciaté London Dewy Blush Glossy Cheek Tint
If blush scares the hell out of you and you’re more of a bronzer gal, may we entice you to the category with this bronze-hued cheek tint offering from Ciaté? A no-brainer for no-makeup makeup days, this lightweight sheer cheek product adds a dewy touch of colour to cheekbones for that enviable post-holiday glow we’re all after. We may not have been to St. Tropez but that doesn’t mean we can’t look like we have.

Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish: Divine Blush
If you’ve ever had the luxury of swiping a Pat McGrath eyeshadow across your lids then can we please introduce you to the sweet and satisfying blush formula that mother has gifted us? Buildable, velvet-smooth and ‘petal-soft’, these flower-embossed compacts of blush heaven are just as beautiful on the skin as they are in the palette. We’re talking pure colour pay-off (no patchiness here, we promise), lightweight on skin and buildable like you wouldn’t believe. A must-try.
