Spoiler alert: It’s RIDICULOUSLY affordable
We were lucky enough to catch up with Drew for a one-on-one chat, so of course we took the opportunity to grill her on her can’t-live-without beauty bag essentials.
“[In my beauty bag] you would find our Flower Beauty Light Illusion Full Coverage Concealer and our double ended Flower Beauty Mix N Matte Lip Duo,” says Drew.
“Funnily [we] call it a duo but really it’s a trio. It’s a comfort matte, then it’s a complimentary gloss that’s a similar pigment and colour on the other end, but with a nice sort of luminosity and light-reflective quality. And then you can wear them together or separate. So, it’s a three-in-one - a woman shouldn’t have to choose!”
And we couldn’t agree more. When it comes to makeup, we need all of the options!
Drew also spilt the beans on what inspired the Flower Beauty Mix N Matte Lip Duo - amazingly it is an ode to the first beauty product she ever tried.
“It was a double-ended Shiseido lip pen in the old school ‘80s maroon packaging. What it had was the same colour in a very extreme chalky matte, and what would have been considered like a butter type formula – something very hydrating – not a gloss but something that had a lot of viscosity to it. If you love a shade, sometimes you want it in two different formulas. And that always struck me as a stroke of genius.”
So true, Drew. Once you find a shade that really works for you, having it in different finishes totally makes sense. And what could be more convenient than the different finishes being housed in the one product?
The best news? You can pick up the Flower Mix N Matte Lip Duo at Chemist Warehouse for just a tenner. Yep, we’re serious!
