Glossier is finally shipping to Australia

Ever since Glossier launched in 2014 we’ve been waiting with bated breath for the day it would be available in Australia. It’s one of the few brands that still required an overseas trip or some shipping logistics to get your hands on, which is why we’ve often had to settle for dupes like the K-Beauty toner that rivals the brand’s Solution. Until now, that is.

The wait is finally over and Glossier is officially shipping to Australia (and the rest of the world). We've been waiting with bated breath and saving our pennies in the hope that the brand would hit Aussie shores ever since it launched in Sephora across the US and Canada in early 2023. And we've finally been granted worldwide access to cult products like Boy Brow and Cloud Paint.

The transition to global shipping makes sense considering Glossier has been making major moves in the past few years. It started with Olivia Rodrigo as its first-ever ambassador and Emily Weiss stepping down as CEO, and now the brand is set for world domination (again).

“We’re thrilled to announce that Glossier is now shipping to over 180 countries globally, building on our thoughtful expansion efforts over the past several years,” said Kyle Leahy, Chief Executive Officer at Glossier. “We’re grateful for the enthusiasm from our global community, who have continuously expressed their desire for Glossier to have a more global footprint. This is a big step for us—a first step, and we’re excited for all the opportunities ahead as we connect with and learn from our international community. We are just getting started.”

Fans of the brand have been begging for international access since Glossier's launch in 2013. According to a press release issued by the brand, more than half of Glossier's 2.8 million Instagram followers are located outside the US. So the decision to start shipping to outside the US and UK has been a long time coming and is bound to be another successful move for the brand. 

How much is Glossier shipping to Australia?

Shipping to Australia is $16 for standard 7 to 11-day delivery, and $35 for express, which will see your package to your door in 5 to 7 business days. You can snag free shipping on orders over $110 and all orders over $210 will be upgraded to complimentary express shipping.

Will Glossier be available at Sephora or Mecca?

Glossier's Sephora rollout has hit stores in the US and Canada, as well as sephora.com and the Sephora app. There is no word on when or if we'll see the brand stocked in Sephora Australia or another retailer such as MECCA yet, but in a previous statement from Leahy, Sephora’s international presence was a key factor in the decision.

“We are incredibly excited to enter our partnership with Sephora,” she said in the release. “They are an iconic, international retailer with an extremely loyal community, and we know our customers want to find us there. We share the same customer-centric values and are both deeply grounded in the ever-evolving notion of beauty discovery.”

Will Glossier open a store in Australia?

Glossier will still continue to run its own stores too, with locations in Brooklyn, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and Philadelphia, and a return to Soho in 2023.

Although a store in Sydney or Melbourne is unlikely, there is hope that Glossier’s partnership with Sephora will see it enter the country through the retailer, just like Rare Beauty before it.
