3 signature Hailey Bieber lip combos everyone should know
With Hailey Bieber's rhode officially landing in Australia last week, we're more invested than ever in acquiring the products she loves to use everyday.
However, as much as we love watching her slather rhode skin care all over her face in GRWM TikToks, we've always been unhealthily obsessed with the beauty founder's lip combination.
Regardless of the brand she's using, Bieber has a clear understanding of what works for her, which is why we've taken the liberty of sourcing the exact products she uses to create three of her most iconic signature lip combos.
Want to put your newly purchased rhode products to good use? From her glazed donut era, to Mary Phillips red carpet moments, ahead BEAUTYcrew breaks down Bieber's best lip looks....

The Glazed Donut Lip Combo
We can't talk about Hailey Bieber's makeup without mentioning the viral glazed donut trend, which marked the birth of rhode in 2022. From her skin, to her nails, and even her plush pout, Bieber was glistening like a freshly baked box of Krispy Kremes.
The glazed donut lip combo featured all of her favourite makeup products at the time, which included one of the first three rhode products ever launched: rhode's Peptide Lip Treatment ($35 from rhode).
To achieve the glazed look, Bieber would line her lips with Make Up For Ever's Artist Color Pencil in 'Anywhere Caffeine' ($37 from The Iconic) — or any toasty-hued liner in her handbag — blurring any harsh lines with the pad of her finger. Then she'd layer over a healthy coat of rhode's Peptide Lip Treatment ($35 from rhode) for a high-shine, hydrating finish.

The Rhode Lip Combo
The benefit of owning your own beauty brand is being able to design the perfect products for you, which is exactly what Hailey Bieber did when she launched rhode's Peptide Lip Shape Lift ($41 from rhode).
The unique lip liner boasts a thicker tip that simultaneously softly diffuses as it deposits colour, as well as a silicone lip smudger to avoid having to use your finger for the often messy job.
She goes between 'Lunge' (a rosy beige) and 'Twist' (a warm taupe) for a slightly deeper take on her natural lip colour. Then she pats a smidge of rhode Pocket Blush ($43 from rhode) in a lighter shade like 'Piggy' through the centre of her lips.
Sometimes she'll leave it there, opting for a natural matte finish, but occasionally she'll also layer rhode's Peptide Lip Treatment ($35 from rhode) or rhode's Scented Peptide Lip Tint ($35 from rhode) in a sheer, natural shade like 'Ribbon' and 'Toast' for that signature rhode glazed finish.

The Mary Phillips Lip Combo
Hailey Bieber's ride or die makeup artist Mary Phillips has been painting the rhode founder's face for many years, so when she preps the beauty for a red carpet event there are a few key products she uses to achieve Bieber's signature plush pout — and yes, she relies on the principles of her viral under painting technique.
Phillips contours the perimeter of Bieber's lips with the 'Contour One' shade from the m.ph beauty Underpainting Face Palette in 'Medium' (not available in Australia), and taps it out with a finger to create a diffused lip line.
She repeats the same process with the m.ph beauty The Overliner in the shade 'Tease' (not available in Australia) to deepen the shadow of Bieber's lip contour, then she fills in the centre of the lip with the shade 'French Exit', and presses the m.ph beauty Lip Ciggy in the shade 'Tickled Pink' (not available in Australia) over the top to create a long-lasting 'your lips but better' lip colour.
Want that lived-in lip look like Bieber? Phillips says to tap the lip products in to the skin with a warm finger for a more 'realistic' finish. Noted.

The only thing more iconic than Bieber's lip combo is her confectionery-adjacent complexion, and it's well earned, because Hailey Bieber doesn't take short cuts when it comes to skin care.
Briar Clark got her start in the media industry in 2017, as an intern for Marie Claire and InStyle. Since then, her keen interest in fashion and beauty has landed her gigs as a Digital Content Producer and Beauty Editor with titles like Girlfriend, Refinery29, BEAUTYcrew and beautyheaven. She loves the way seemingly innocuous topics like skin care and style have the ability to put a smile on people’s faces or make them think about themselves a little differently. A big believer in self love and experimentation, Briar has made a point of becoming the Australian beauty industry’s unofficial guinea pig for unusual treatments and daring hair trends. When she’s not testing out the latest beauty launches, Briar is big on broadening her horizons, mostly in the form of food but she’s also partial to travelling to new destinations both near and far (and of course, allocating an extra bag to bring their best beauty offerings home with her).
