This is a vibe

Just a few days after hitting the black carpet at the star-studded Tiffany & Co. bash in Sydney with a grown-out shag, Jesinta Franklin debuted a bold new hair look that's a complete departure from anything we've seen on the 27-year-old before.

Taking to Instagram Jesinta shared two behind the scenes photos from an upcoming shoot - tagging hairstylist Diane Gorgievski - her tresses are cut into a blunt medium length platinum blonde hairstyle. Despite the fact she's wearing a wig here, we can't help but envy the model achingly cool '60s micro bangs.

Next up, Franklin posed in a high-cut black one piece showing off her second hair transformation of the day. Her usually blonde locks are millennial pink and her blunt bob is even shorter. Her mod-inspired crop is perfectly matched with winged black eyeliner and nude lipstick.

When discussing the secrets behind her enviably shiny hair, Jesinta revealed: "I use treatments, masks, making sure that when my hair is wet, I always put some kind of heat protectant in before I blow-dry it. It has held up really well and I haven’t had too much breakage. I really love the cut and I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner and I have no plans of going back anytime soon because it is just so much easier to do. I can wake up, put a product into slick it back, put a lip on and I am ready to go for the day."

As for whether she'll ever go back to having long locks full-time - don't hold your breath. Of her short hair, Jesinat shared: "It is so easy, it dries quickly, it is versatile because I can do so much with it, which is great. I thought it would be opposite going shorter but I can do so much more now."

Looking to take the plunge and chop it all off like Jesina? We asked hair guru Nadine Johns-Alcock, National Education Manager for ghd Australia and New Zealand what you need to consider before making your next hair appointment.

This low-maintenance style is perfect for busy women who don't want to spend too much time doing their hair in the morning. It's a versatile crop that is "effortlessly chic and suited to an active lifestyle, yet can be transformed into something soft and pretty for an evening out," Nadine said.

For simple everyday styling, Johns-Alcock suggests applying a root lift spray into damp hair and letting tresses dry naturally. For a nighttime look she explains, "transform your look by using the ghd mini styler to create a smooth side-swept fringe that kisses your lashes."
