An Aussie favourite was responsible for Leighton Meester's Golden Globes hair

We've never been prouder

If you're anything like us, hearing that Leighton Meester was joining her IRL husband (Adam Brody, ICYMI) onscreen for season two of Nobody Wants This incited a flood of 2000s nostalgia. Of course, we were going to binge the season regardless, it just gave us two extra shows to go and rewatch over summer break.

But now, we turn our attention to the couple taking centre stage on the award show red carpet scene. Meester was seen supporting her husband for his Golden Globes nomination, while sporting the biggest red carpet trend of the night.

That's right, we cannot stop thinking about Meester's Golden Globes hair. And yes, the GC has asked us to stop going on about it already, but we knew that you would appreciate our insider sleuthing, so here are a few of her hair secrets...

Leighton Meester 2026 Golden Globes Hair

In case you missed the memo, updos are so back. The attendees of the 2026 Golden Globes put on an absolute show of messy, loose and seriously enviable 'dos, with none chicer than Meester's piecey chignon.

And thanks to her incredibly talented hairstylist Clariss Rubenstein, we know the exact products used to achieve said look. While we don't have the exact methodology (although an IG story did suggest wrapping the tool under your strands was the way to go) for the dual twist-and-pin look, we know that it's going to be saved as inspo for any event we've got coming up.

So, if you've got the patience to try it yourself, or have a friend/sister/girlfriend to practice on, these are the products Rubenstein used. The Nexxus MVP Styler Multitasking Cream ($23.92 from Amazon Australia) gave Meester's strands shine, hydration and protection, while the Nexxus Slick Stick (not currently available) held any stray hairs in place.

As for those to-die-for loose tendrils and face-framing pieces, we've got a duo of Aussie faves to thank.

Yep, Rubenstein's go-to hot tools for the event were from the affordable Aussie brand Bondi Boost. We know that the Bondi Boost Thermal Bounce Brush ($180 from Bondi Boost) was used to give the ends of her hair that flicky finish. And while we're not certain how the Bondi Boost Blowout Brush ($110 from Bondi Boost) was wielded, we're pretty confident that it had something to do with the lifted blown out pieces around Meester's face.

If we end up getting an exact how-to for the look, you best believe we'll keep you posted. But for now, crack out your thermal spray, order Meester's exact Aussie hot tools and get ready to recreate the look for yourselves.
