It may be called Fashion Week, but it most definitely isn’t just about the clothes. In fact, if you ask us over here at Beauty Crew HQ, we’d argue that it really should be renamed Fashion and Beauty Week.
The unveiling of fashion designers’ new season collections on the runway provide not just a heap of wardrobe inspiration, but also an absolute smorgasbord of fresh beauty inspo. And, boy has the London leg of the Spring 2020 fashion week circuit delivered.
Read on to see the most breathtaking beauty looks we spotted at London Fashion Week Spring 2020.
Delicate touches at Victoria Beckham
This stunning beauty look spotted at Victoria Beckham took a totally pared-back approach. Models took to the runway in simple, slicked-back hairstyles and minimal makeup – save for a dainty touch of eyeliner applied just above the crease of the eyes. Absolute perfection.
Party vibes at House of Holland
At House of Holland’s show, a ‘more is more’ approach was taken…and then some! ‘90s raver culture clashed with ‘70s disco fever in this epic beauty look. The result? Party-worthy makeup with the glam factor dialled way up to MAX – or, “#DiscoDavidBowie” as it was described by MAC’s Senior Global Artist Dominic Skinner, who created the look. File this one away for your next music festival.
Glass skin and hair at Burberry
Burberry presented barely-there beauty at its best with this divine look. Seemingly foundation-free skin glistened under the lights, letting the models’ natural beauty shine through. Freckles were put on display rather than being hidden beneath makeup and cheeks and lips were finished with a delicate flush of pink. So pretty!
Prim and proper at Erdem
Models at Erdem glided down the runway in this sleek beauty look with not a hair out of place. Somehow both their hair and skin appeared to have a glass-like sheen and we’re loving the simplicity in this unfussy yet utterly elegant beauty look.
Unpolished schoolyard beauty at Bora Aksu
Fly-aways are often viewed as an annoyance that must be tamed with hairspray and a firm (comb-wielding) hand. However, instead of being controlled, they were celebrated at Bora Aksu’s show via this gorgeously whimsy hair look. Schoolgirl braids were kept from looking too juvenile with the addition of a flash of bold red lipstick and subtle winged eyeliner.
Punky eyeliner at Roberta Einer
Thick, black slashes of eyeliner were on the beauty menu at Roberta Einer, proving that punk really isn't dead. A strategic pairing with fresh skin, barely-there nude lips and simple, straightened hair kept the looking from verging on OTT.
