The product

With a long list of *very necessary* requirements for a lipstick – intense colour payoff, transfer-proof, comfortable and long-lasting– sometimes it can feel like the perfect pout is unattainable.

But we may have just found one that ticks ALL the boxes. L’Oréal Paris Rouge Signature Lip Ink delivers high-pigment colour payoff and has an ultra-lightweight oil-in-water formula that dries down to a comfortable matte finish that will ensure your pout stays perfect the whole day through.

Available in 12 universally flattering shades, this is the lip colour you’ll want to add to your beauty arsenal.

Our panel of Review Crew® members put this product to the test.

The panel

Beauty Crew sent the L’Oréal Paris Rouge Signature Lip Ink in three shades – I Rule, I Empower, and I Am Worth It – to a panel of Review Crew® members aged between 18 and 40 who wanted a long-wearing, comfortable lip colour that wouldn’t transfer throughout the day.

The lowdown

Here’s what our Review Crew® members loved about L’Oréal Paris Rouge Signature Lip Ink:

The colour payoff: Review Crew® members were very impressed with the high-impact colour of the Lip Ink. They found that the buildable formula allowed them to play around with a sheer look or layer the product for an opaque finish.

How the lipstick applied: Members loved the lightweight finish, which they noted was a welcome change from the heavy, thick and sticky formulas of traditional liquid lipsticks. Many also said that the angled applicator tip allowed them to precisely line their lips with little fuss.

How the lipstick wore throughout the day: The long-wearing formula was a definite plus for our reviewers who appreciated that they didn’t have to reapply the lip colour as often as they normally would with a traditional lipstick. Members also commented on how the Lip Ink didn’t dry out their lips, flake off or look chalky throughout the day.

The verdict

“Easy to apply with the shape of the wand, I think the most impressive thing was the colour pigment and the way in which it lasted on my lips; unlike some other long-lasting liquid lips I have tried, these were not drying on the lips.”

“Unlike traditional liquid lipsticks, this one has an incredibly lightweight feel and a thin yet pigmented consistency, which means it can be worn sheer or built up/layered to full opacity. I like that they dried down matte but didn't look flat or chalky.”

“A long-wearing colour that didn’t dry out my lips, didn’t flake off, didn’t feel sticky and was very lightweight!! The applicator is a really nice shape which made it extremely easy to apply - the best applicator I’ve ever used.”
