4 beauty tricks for doing your makeup on the go

The fuss-free tricks you need to know

We all lead busy lives, and squeezing in what seems like a thousand tasks in just 24 hours isn’t easy. Which is why it helps to be able to tick off a few items when you’re on the go – whether that’s on the train, on the way from gym to work, or simply going out to grab a coffee.

And while it may not seem like your makeup routine is doable when you’re on the go, we’re here to show you a few clever tricks to help you apply your makeup easily and effectively without taking up too much of your time.

1

Face

Applying foundation when you’re on the run can be one of the hardest tasks to master. Liquid formulas either require fingers that need to be washed afterwards or tools that take up too much space in your handbag, and powders can prove to be really messy - especially if you’re trying to do it in the car. Enter Estée Lauder’s Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick Radiant Makeup, which works wonders in this case, as it combines a glow-enhancing, skin tone-evening liquid foundation and a professional (yet easy-to-use) sponge in one handy product – so there’s no need to worry about carrying around application tools or messy hands. Plus, it blends easily to leave a velvet-smooth, natural finish. To use, twist the base of the product until you can see a drop or two on the sponge, then dot it on top of the areas that need the most coverage. Continue by buffing the sponge in circular motions over your skin to blend the colour into your complexion.

2

Eyes

To bring your eyes to life with minimal effort, your best bet is to use a dark pencil with a soft texture, like L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Le Kajal Eye Pencil, that can add intensity to the base of your lashes without needing to reach for trickier products, like liquid liner or mascara.

3

Brows

Keep brows looking kempt with a brow gel that can be applied quickly and with minimal precision. For those with lighter-coloured hairs, try a tinted formula that can add depth to your arches, like Maybelline New York Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara.

4

Cheeks and lips

Want to add a flush of colour to cheeks and lips in an instant? Go for a gel formula, like Bourjois Aqua Blush 12H, that can be applied to the apples of your cheeks with your fingers sans mirror, then wipe the excess on your lips for a subtle hint of colour. Too easy.
