Meghan Markle has debuted a bold new beauty look

Meghan Markle

And we are HERE for it

Meghan Markle just attended the opening night of Cirque du Soleil’s Totem at Royal Albert Hall in London, and her signature ‘no makeup’ makeup look was nowhere in sight. The Duchess of Sussex swapped a nude lippie for a deep berry shade and we are obsessed.

Since becoming a royal, Meghan went from experimenting with daring red-carpet makeup to consistently a more pared-back look - favouring neutral shades and her trademark glowing skin over anything too bright or over-the-top. But it seems eight months into her new royal life and Meghan is keen to shake things up. On this occasion, she dialled up the highlighter to full-glam mode and added a rich pop of colour on her lips. And we have to say, this combo is a total winner on Megs.

See for yourself:

But before we get too attached, let’s not forget that the last time Meghan dabbled in red lipstick we didn’t see a repeat. Not because of any royal rules, but rather Meghan just didn’t love the look on herself.

“The one time she did a red lip, she just didn’t feel comfortable in it. She likes to talk and she’s not a fussy person, so she doesn’t want to have to worry about anything,” said Meghan’s wedding makeup artist, Daniel Martin, in an interview with People.

But given she recently branched out from her signature hairstyle, and showed off a smouldering smoky eye at Prince Charles’ 70th birthday bash, we’re hoping she’s had a change of heart.

We sure hope so because we love seeing her push the royal boundaries!
