I tried the viral Omnilux LED Mask and my skin has never looked better

A worthy skin-vestment

As a minimalist makeup girlie, having glowy, plump skin is super important. So it’s safe to say I’ve invested a lot of time (and money…) into skin care and high-tech devices that promise to transform my skin. But nothing has ever really lived up to the hype – until now.

Enter: Omnilux Contour Face LED Mask. I’d seen and heard a lot of glowing reviews on the device on TikTok (and from my facialist). So I absolutely jumped at the chance to put the tool to the test – and I have absolutely no regrets.

The product

The Omnilux Contour Face LED Mask is the most powerful LED device on the market. It’s recommended by dermatologists and estheticians worldwide, using the same LED technology as in-clinic treatments.

Regular at-home treatments result in healthier, younger-looking skin and reduced fine lines and wrinkles. The mask also targets pigmentation and redness to leave you with a glowing, even complexion. In fact, clinical results showed that 95 per cent of users felt their skin was brighter and plumper after using the Omnilux Contour. And all you need is 10 minutes each day, 3-5 days per week.

The device itself is made of flexible silicone so is super flexible and moulds to your face, making it pretty comfortable to wear (as far as LED masks go). It’s also simple to use – just charge up the remote, plug in the USB cord and press the button to treat your skin to a 10-minute LED session. The tool is also totally hands-free, so you can get to all the errands you missed throughout the day – or just treat yourself to a quick self-care session.

Want to take your results to the next level? The new Omnilux LED Essentials Bundle skin care is designed to enhance the effects of at-home LED treatments. The range includes the Enzyme Powder Cleanser for gentle exfoliation and a deep cleanse, the Hyaluronic Acid Serum to lock in moisture and soothe the skin, and the Peptide Concentrate to reduce fine lines and signs of fatigue.

So is Omnilux worth the hype? Let’s put it to the test…

Omnilux Contour Face LED Mask review

I’ll be the first to say I’m a sucker for any next-gen skin care device. I’ve tried almost every one under the sun, so you can trust me when I tell you that the Omnilux Contour is one of the few actually lives up to the hype.

Putting on the mask for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised by how effortlessly the mask moulded to my face. The velcro straps make adjusting the mask super easy.

Going into the trial, my main skin concerns were dullness, minor hormonal breakouts and hyperpigmentation. And, as I enter my late 20s, I’ve become much more aware of fine lines and other signs of ageing starting to form so nipping them in the bud is always a plus. I also have this one sun spot on my cheek that just won’t budge no matter what serums, spot treatments or magic potions I use. So I had high hopes for the mask.

And boy did it deliver. After using the Omnilux Contour LED mask five days per week for four weeks, I’ve already noticed a massive difference in my overall complexion and my pigmentation in particular.

My skin is visibly brighter and plumper, and the problem spot on my cheek has started to fade.

After 4 weeks of use

My 10-minute LED sessions are now something I look forward to each day. I mostly use the mask before bed, so I take the time to do a quick meditation and wind down at the end of the day. But I’ve also had to squeeze in a midday session or two, so I’ll use the mask while I respond to my 315 unread emails, put away the laundry or catch up on the latest ep of The Summer I Turned Pretty (the perfect self-care combo if you ask me).

I used the device in conjunction with the brand’s new skin care line – the Enzyme Powder Cleanser, Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Peptide Concentrate. Overall, I really enjoyed the combination of the three.

I have pretty sensitive skin and am prone to irritation and redness, so I was a little apprehensive about using an exfoliating cleanser. But the Enzyme Powder Cleanser is actually super gentle and leaves my skin feeling fresh without stripping or drying it out.

As far as the serums go, the Hyaluronic Acid Serum is like a drink of water for my chronically dry complexion. And the Peptide Complex? An essential if you, like me, want to plump, protect and replenish your skin’s moisture barrier to fight off fine lines. Both serums are a little tacky, feel wise, especially after using the mask, but finishing off with a light veil of moisturiser will do the trick.

The final verdict

Overall, I feel like my skin is brighter, more even and plumper. The pesky spots and resulting pigmentation from my hormonal breakouts have all but disappeared and I’m noticing much less puffiness in the mornings (the sign of healthier, less-fatigued skin).

As for that stubborn sunspot? You best believe she’s finally started to fade – and after only four weeks!

The Omnilux Contour truly is a game-changing device and has well and truly earned its place as my new go-to facial device. As far as skin-vestments go, this one is definitely worth the splurge.
