Yesterday’s Critics’ Choice Awards presented a dazzling display of makeup and hair artistry. With so many stand-out looks, we’ll admit we struggled to choose our favourites. Yet, there was one breakout trend that was spotted on the red carpet too many times to call it a coincidence…
Pink eye makeup is back, in a big way for 2020. And, there’s so many ways to wear it, as demonstrated by the A-lister set.
A subtle wash of colour
If you’d like to dip your toes into the trend, try a subtle wash of pink across your eyelids like Mandy Moore and Cynthia Erivo. Or, if you want to take it to the next level, go bold with a lashline-to-brow application.

Neon magenta eyeliner
If you’d like to stand out at your next event, follow Lydia Hearst’s lead and take your beauty vibe up a notch with a flick of neon magenta eyeliner above your upper lashline.
The best news? If you know your way around a winged eyeliner application, this look is incredibly easy to execute as you’re simply swapping out your regular black or brown eyeliner for a pink version.

Metallic fuschia smoky eyes
For those who are ready to go big or go home, a metallic fuchsia eye might be right up your alley. Zendaya and Kate Beckinsale debuted the trend at the Critics’ Choice Awards and we’re loving this fun vibe.
