very disappointed

I bought the new Curls Routine Bundle and have been using it consistently for about two weeks. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me at all. I have naturally curly hair, and instead of defining or moisturizing my curls, it left my hair feeling dry, frizzy, and lifeless. I carefully followed all the instructions, but my curls lost their shape and looked dull — almost as if I hadn’t used any product at all. It feels more like a basic hair product rather than something made specifically for curly hair. The texture doesn’t help with moisture retention or curl definition, and overall, my hair looks worse and feels rough after styling. I expected much better results, especially for the price. Sadly, I’m very disappointed with this purchase and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with curly or textured hair looking for hydration and curl support.

Great for in between washes

The Garnier Fructis Curls Method Spray is a really handy step for refreshing curls between washes. It’s super lightweight and mists evenly, so it doesn’t drench the hair or leave it feeling sticky. I like that it instantly adds a boost of hydration and helps revive curl shape when my hair starts to look flat or frizzy. It’s great for adding elasticity and bounce back to my curls, especially on day two or three hair. The formula with hyaluronic acid definitely gives that extra hit of moisture, though the effects are more temporary compared to the mask or shampoo — it’s more of a quick pick-me-up than a long-lasting fix. One thing I appreciate is that it doesn’t weigh down my waves or leave any residue, which makes it easy to use multiple times a week. The scent is fresh but not overpowering, which is nice when you’re spraying it on throughout the day. Overall, this spray is a convenient curl refresher that works best as a finishing step or in-between wash day boost. It won’t replace styling products or deep treatments, but it does exactly what it promises — brings curls back to life with hydration and bounce.

GARNIER FRUCTIS Curls Method Step 4 Spray

The GARNIER FRUCTIS CURLS METHOD spray is the 4th step after the Pre-shampoo, shampoo and mask. The spray is a clear mist and has a pleasant fresh aroma that can either be sprayed directly onto wet hair after conditioner/mask or on dry hair between shampoos to redefine curls and add softness. The directions say to spray on hair, but I prefer to spray into the hands and add to the hair while scrunching. The texture is lightweight and not oily so doesn't weigh down the hair. It left my curls bouncy, defined and hydrated. Would definitely recommend.

Curl definition and less frizz

The final step in the Garnier Fructis Curls Method is the Leave-In Spray. It is a lightweight, fresh, zesty mist that helped lock in moisture, reduce frizz and define curls without weighing my hair down and making it sticky or oily. I spritzed it to my towel-dried, damp hair after step three. The packaging is a fun and catchy, and the spray nozzle works a treat to spray a fine mist. I combed it through with my fingers and then scrunched my hair lightly to encourage curl formation. I think this final step really helped set the style and added extra bounce and definition to my waves. It also helped reduce frizz throughout the day and added a light hold without any stiffness. I was very happy with the result of the products when used all together in the curls process. It didn’t make my hair greasy, even after a few days.

Curl defining multi-tasker

A multi use curl definer that can be used on wet hair or when needing a curl refresh is something all curly girls need in their cupboard. The product smells great and spreads well through the hair after washing. The pump was a bit hard to use and manoeuvre especially after a shower, I think a trigger spray would be easier to use when managing wet hair. But it is still usable and is fine for next day refresh usage. The product helps define curls and manage frizz whilst locking in moisture. Being able to use on dry hair for a refresh and having curls re-defined is a huge win and if you are looking for a curl multi tasker this is it.

Loved the spray!

This was my first time using a 4-part curly hair range (Number 4 of 4). The Garnier Fructis Curls Method Spray is a game-changer! Not only did it work as part of the full 4-step process, but I also used it on the following days when I felt my curls needed a little bit of love. It’s lightweight, with no crunch or stickiness, and helps maintain the softness and natural bounce of my curls. Like the other products in this range, it had a lovely smell to the product which wasn't overpowering at all. This product can be used as part of the 4 step process or daily to provide hydration to curls.

My favourite product in this range.

To be honest, I actually had no idea how to use this. I thought initially it was a leave in conditioner but then realise that the bottle said I was also able to spray this on my hair to revive my curls. No idea what that means! The first time I tried this I used it as a leave in conditioner, I put it on after I dried my hair and I noticed the same effects as my usual conditioner. This was wonderful and the product smelt really well. Also, the spray was quite lightweight and so he didn't weigh my hair down after it had dried. But I really wanted to try what refreshing curls meant so I sprayed it in my hair on day three after washing it with my hair looked a little bit frizzy and my curls had somewhat lost their shine. I was really surprised because after drying it actually allowed my curls to bounce back almost to where they were when I just washed them and I added a beautiful shine which made my hair look healthy and clean. It also doesn't hurt to have a really nice spray to smell like this one. I think it is the perfect fourth step and completes the hydration cycle from the series, I would definitely re-purchase this as soon as my bottle finishes.

Great product

This is a great leave in product. I find that it gives my hair a much needed moisture boost, especially the day after washing my hair. I usually spray this before styling, and it gives my waves a quick refresh, leaving them smooth, hydrated and bouncy. I love that it’s a spray formula, it allows for easy application. It doesn’t weigh my hair down at all, and basically feels like water once applied. It leaves a slight scent in my hair which is nice and fresh. I’m so glad I tried this product, I’ll definitely be continuing to use it!

super fresh and clean

The Garnier Fructis Curls Method Spray is step four in their new Curls Method routine, but I even used this spray on its own occasionally and it has seriously impressed me! I have type 3A curls that tend to fall flat and frizz out a couple days after wash day, especially in humid or wet Sydney weather! I’ve been using this spray mostly in the mornings or mid-week, and it really does bring my curls back to life. It gives them bounce, definition, and hydration without making my hair feel heavy or crunchy. It smells super fresh and clean and not overpowering, just enough to make your hair feel like it’s had a little pick-me-up. It sprays evenly, dries quickly, and doesn’t leave behind that weird sticky feeling some curl refreshers do. I’d say if your curls need a quick reset and you don’t want to completely start over, this is definitely worth trying.

Love the Curls Method Collection

The Garnier Fructis Curls Method Spray is the perfect finishing touch to my curl routine. Lightweight and non-sticky, it refreshes and defines my curls without weighing them down. I love using it after the Pre-Shampoo, Shampoo, and Hair Mask—it locks in all the hydration and keeps frizz under control for days. My curls stay soft, bouncy, and shiny, with a natural look and feel. The spray also smells amazing and adds a boost of freshness between wash days. Affordable, vegan, and silicone-free, it’s a must-have for healthy, defined curls.

Revival for day-old curls

I was hesitant to use a spray like this when my curls, especially the ends, usually require a cream and mousse to give good definition and shape. I found that this worked well in place of an oil as the final step to soften and remove the crunchy definition that comes with diffuse drying with my usual products. It added hydration and shine to my hair at the end of styling. When I used it on its own after washing, I found that my curls were much softer and more like waves, but still had a nice shine and style overall. It was also good to refresh the curls on non-wash days, but by day 3 I found it was adding a bit too much moisture for my liking and I preferred to just revive my curls with a spritz of water. It left a great scent and shine to my hair so overall, I would recommend.

Finishing Spray

Thank you to BeautyCrew and Garnier for the opportunity to trial this product. I was lucky enough to receive this Garnier Fructis Curls Method Spray along with the other products in the Curls Method range, and I was super excited to give it a try. I was really hoping that I would love this spray as much as I loved the other products in this range, but sadly I just didn’t. The spray was very easy to use and apply. I sprayed it on my damp, towel-dried hair, combed it through with my fingers, and then scrunched it. Unfortunately for me, I felt like it made my hair feel tacky, crunchy, and crazy frizzy. I’m not sure if somewhere along the way I may have done something wrong, but I just was not able to get good results with this spray. I will, however, keep trying and see if I can somehow get better results. Overall, I loved all the other products in the range. I will continue to use and recommend them highly.

Helped keep hair texturised

I really enjoyed using the curls method spray by Garnier Fructis to help define my curls and add texture to my hair. I found this product really helped with reducing frizz and kept hair pieces together for a bombshell curl look. The bottle design aided great in application with easy to apply spray design perfectly dispensing product required. I used this product daily in between washes when styling my hair in the morning and it left my hair looking and feeling great. It left a lovely smell on my hair all day too. I did not enjoy the entire range from the curls method but i would definitely purchase the spray again. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting a more defined curl look or needing increased texture in their hair to create volume curls.

Good product

I received this as part of the Garnier Fructis Curls Method and was probably my least favourite of all the products. Although I still loved the spray..I have never been a huge fan of these types of sprays as I used them in my younger years and always felt that although they defined my curls they made them crunchy looking and stiff. This spray definitely was so much better but it was a lot of trial and error. I worked out that spraying on to the palms of your hand definitely worked better and scrunching it into your hair definitely helped with defining the curls. My curls were a lot softer but still had a little bit of stiffness and I felt it didn’t last all day but that could be because I have really thick coarse curls. I would still recommend it and maybe buy it as a cheaper alternative to my normal leave in product for defining my hair.

Average but ok and smells nice.

I was a little bit underwhelmed with this product for my hair type. I feel as though the other products in the range worked very well for my wavy bleached hair but this didn't seem to do a lot. Maybe it would work well in spring/summer with humidity hair to tame the frizz but it's not a product i would rush to go and buy again unfortunately The other products in this range worked very well and I noticed a difference with all of them. Ill keep trying this spray to see if the results may get better over time but at this point I don't give it an amazing review. Other people seemed to have found it to work very well so perhaps on different hair types it works better than others.

It was nice but not my favourite

It was a good product if you needed a pick me up after a day or two between washes, and the price point is good for what it is but it wasn't my favourite product from the range. I usually go up to 4-5 days between washes and my scalp feeling congested or icky since it's colder weather, however when I used this I noticed that my hair and scalp started to feel oilier and more congested between washes so I would have to wash it more often which was a bit annoying but it did make my hair look shiny. The fruity scent was also less potent in this which was a bit disappointing if you're using this as a pick me up between washes.

Confusing to fit into routine

Wouldn't count on it for any kind of hold. This feels like am extra product during the styling routine I couldn't really pinpoint when it should come in. I tried before & after my leave in, styling cream, & hold product but didn't see much difference. The bottle is extremely hard to use when your hands are wet especially with product residue. You try to push the spray down but the bottle just slips in your hand. Not sure if i would try this again, I think it added hydration but not a super noticeable amount.

The spray of nothing.

Yeah, out of the whole Garnier Fructis Curls Method range, this isn't my favourite. The spray dried out my hair, and my ends just look dull. Look, it did keep my curls intact, but it was like a crunchy bounce. I end up having to coat my ends with argan oil to smooth out my hair. This spray might be suitable for oily/thin hair, as I have dry and thick hair. I would rather Garnier stick to their natural range, like the banana hyaluronic acid hair rinse. That stuff was chef's kiss good. I would rate the rinse over this spray any day.
