I bought the L'Oreal Excellence Creme in Ash Blonde (8.1). The box supplies gloves (that are a little too small for my hands), a 72ml bottle of developer with comb attachment, a 48ml tube of colouring cream (so that's about 120ml of formula - if I had long hair I would have needed two kits), post colouring shampoo and conditioner. This has been my favourite colour so far. It has lightened me without turning me orange, which is something I tend to do when I try and go a couple of shades lighter. It didn't completely cover my greys but thats okay as I don't have that many (yet). I was very happy with this colour and will look for it again.
There's a new look and a shade for everybody in this range. Gone are the days where I can afford to go to the salon every two months so I spread out my salon visita and handover my interim hair colour treatments to L'Oreal Excellence. It's incredible the results you can get at a fraction of the salon price and a 'hair pick me up' always feels great. My husband sometimes asks if I've been to the salon - how good is that? I need a dye that doesn't strip the hair too much as I'm always working against the grain to combat dry hair - this does a pretty good job, leaving my hair soft and manageable.
Loreal Excellence is my favourite DIY hair dye. I have been using it for a number of years and have always been impressed with the results. I use Darkest Brown shade, and find that this covers my greys effectively for up to 6 or 7 weeks which is fantastic for me as some other dyes I have tried only last a month or so before dyeing is required again. It is easy to apply, and doesn't drip. It rinses out easily (although the smell is quite strong - be sure to use/wash out in a well ventilated room). The conditioner that is provided for after colouring your hair is a generous size.  It is great value for money;  quite often you can buy them on sale for about $10 from supermarkets/Priceline (I do stock up when they are on sale!)  My mum uses this hair colour too and she too is always impressed with it.  I would recommend this hair dye to everyone who wants long lasting colour for a great price!
