Matrix Unbreak My Blonde Sulfate-Free Strengthening Shampoo

This is my new favourite set! The shampoo is super concentrated so you only need a small amount. This bottle will last longer than expected and the price is reasonable. It lathers up into piles of foam which makes me feel I'm getting a good clean but it doesn't strip my hair at all. It actually clarifies really well but leaves it soft and manageable. My hair is long and fine with blonde highlights and it can get quite dry. My hair is also damaged from years of colouring and I do need to use a lot of product after drying to get my hair feeling good on most days. This shampoo gets rid of all that product build up and also leaves it not feeling squeaky or knotty. The scent is slightly lemony fresh. It's quite nice and not overly scented. The packaging is nice looking and easy to use. It does look like if would be a purple coloured shampoo but don't be tricked as it's not. I use this shampoo twice a week and my hair is bouncy, more voluminous and full of life. I have been needing less product to keep it looking good. I do use the conditioner and treatment as well. The whole set is truly amazing for keeping my hair feeling healthy, bouncy and soft but not weighed down.

I trialled the Matrix Unbreak My Blonde Shampoo, alongside the Conditioner and Leave in Treatment. I do have to admit that trialling this product was interrupted by a trip to the hair salon midway through the month so I was not able to fully attain an impression of whether the products, or my treatment and hair colouring at the salon was the result of healthier hair. I tend to wash my hair no more than twice a week so I had to balance the use of this out with my toning shampoo and conditioner – as this is not a ‘purple’ product and does not impact colour or removal of brassy tones etc. In terms of cleaning the hair, I did find that I had to almost do two washes the first didn't budge some of the greasiness in my hair. It does lather up quite well though and leaves the hair smelling fresh. As fair as colour maintenance goes, this shampoo has little to no effect but understandably, it is designed to nourish and repair the hair, rather than prolong colour/blonde etc. and so it does that effectively.

As someone who has hair that is both bleached and keratin treated, it is super important for me to fine a shampoo and conditioner that caters to this. It is surprisingly hard to find a purple shampoo that does not contain sulfate. I was very happy to use the matrix shampoo and found that it did make my hair feel nice and silky after use. It is not the most effective product that I have used for yellow tones but it is a great everyday product. I would recommend this for anything looking to repair damage after bleaching and maintain their hair between hairdresser appointments.

I was really pleased with this product! After trying so many blonde shampoos that claimed to fix my dry blonde hair I thought I would never find the one! That is until Matrix Unbreak my blonde shampoo arrived. Being Sulfate free really won me over and the fact that the shampoo doesnt have an over powering scent like other shampoos I have used in the past. The packaging is super modern and easy to use. The product lathers up well so that you dont need to use too much, a little goes a long way. After using this product for 3 weeks I have noticed that my hair is a lot stronger overall and looks a lot healthier. I cant wait to see how my hair looks in another 3 weeks after using this product. Matrix Unbreak my Blonde shampoo brings out the highlights and shine in my hair. I highly recommend this product to my fellow blondes!

I have been pleasantly surprised by this shampoo. My hair is feeling happier and healthier. I was a bit shocked when it came out clear, as this is not a toning shampoo, but that is more than ok with how fab it is. I will continue to use this on my hair and boy oh boy it smells great too. Best used in its trio of products for optimum results. this product is certainly worth its price my big flaws i found was it did wash my tone out, probably because it seems to have detox qualities. it also requires you dont go out in sun due tot AHAs

One of the best things about this shampoo that was a real game changer for me was the fact that it not only is for blonde hair but it’s sulfate free. Being sulfate free and not packed with harsh chemicals really is appealing. The shampoo left my hair feeling really clean, and after only several uses my is brighter. In terms of strength I think I would need more time to see these results are using the product for a longer amount of time. Another bonus was that the scent of the shampoo wasn’t a overwhelming either with strong fragrances, it was the closest product to being natural whilst still delivering quality results. I would recommend this shampoo but as I mentioned would like more time usage wise before I can make a comment on the strength of my hair especially as my hair is bleached blonde and is more prone to breakage.

I was excited to try the "unbreak my blonde" Sulfate-free strengthening shampoo. Being a blonde has always required soooo many different products and anything to simplify the routine ( and have less products clogging up the bathroom cabinet!!). The sulfate-free advertising was very attractive, although I was a bit concerned that there was a warning about sun exposure whilst using this product. I've never seen that on a hair product before and to be honest it makes me hesitant to use this product. I think it limits its use on a practical level, as what blonde wants to hide inside away from the sun? The shampoo itself is great, effective at both hydrating and toning, and my hair seems much less damaged. It felt nice to use, smelt good and only needs a tiny amount, so is good value for money. It's a shame about the warnings with sun exposure, otherwise it would definitely be a great option.

I have extremely damaged hair from both heat and colour and am very particular when it comes to my hair products. I love that this Shampoo is sulfate-free and addresses the weakness without drying out my hair and causing more damage. Due to the poor condition of my hair, I don't like using products that are heavily scented and this product has enough sent to smell nice but not overpowering. I didn't need much product as it spread easily unlike other sulfate-free shampoos I have used. The packaging is clean and simple and the product is more affordable than the shampoo I normally use. This is a great sulfate-free, salon-quality product that I will continue to use and would recommend to others with damaged, thin, blonde hair.

Great Shampoo for damaged bleach blonde hair! I have bleached blonde hair with damage from the bleaching process and I honestly love this product. I have been using it in conjunction with the conditioner and leave in treatment and after the first wash my hair quality was greatly improved. My hair was softer, smoother and tangled less. The shampoo is thick and not watered down like other brands so it's better value for money. The packaging is nice but I was surprised that the shampoo was not a purple shampoo as the colour of the packaging was purple and the shampoo is white. So toning has to be done as a separate process. So very impressed with this product and will continue to use as I have tried many other brands and never had a shampoo that left my hair healthier

I have used the matrix Unbreak My Blonde Sulfate-Free Strengthening Shampoo a couple of times now and I am so impressed! My hair is left feeling so clean, soft, shiny and strong. The shampoo has a slight citrus smell which isn't overpowering at all. It actually is refreshing not to have a strong smell to a shampoo. The consistency of the shampoo is quite thick and creamy but still easy to distribute throughout my hair and lather. Overall I really enjoyed using this product and I definitely will be repurchasing again!

I do recommend the matrix Unbreak My Blonde Strengthening Shampoo together with the conditioner and leave in treatment. Although I have only been trialing this product for 2 weeks I can’t say that I’ve noticed it to have strengthened my hair but it certainly does leave the hair soft and shiny. The shampoo leathers up quite nicely with minimal amount needed for my thick hair. It has a lovely soft subtle smell that I really liked. The conditioner wasn’t as surprising quality as the shampoo but it was also nice and smooth applying to the hair. I was amazed by the softness my hair was after using this product. I have coarse hair and some shampoos can make it seem worse and fuzzy but this product left my hair feeling so soft and shinning and not fuzzy at all. I’m enjoying this shampoo, conditioner and leave in treatment. If you have thick coarse hair like me, I recommend giving this a try.

AMAZING PRODUCT! This shampoo has literally exceeded my expectation of every shampoo I have EVER used. I have previously used matrix products but wasn’t a fan… but this…. This I am going to repurchase when I finish the product it is that good!! It leaves my platinum blond hair shiny, soft, feels stronger and just overall healthier and less frizzy and brittle. The first night I used it, I blow dried and straightened my hair and it looked like I had walked out of the salon. I was so amazed. And it actually stayed straight for more then the day!!! The scent smells nice. It smells like the previous Matrix product I used, a subtle luxe scent. The packaging is purple so I kind of assumed the product inside would be purple to tone blonde hair but it unfortunately didn’t, but that’s not the end of the world. But if it did that- that would be freaking amazing!!! Overall I am OBSESSED with this product and have told all my blond friends about it! HIGHLY recommend to any not-so-natural blondies out there!

I trialled this Shampoo along with the accompanying Conditioner and leave-in treatment. I used it for about 3 washes. I usually use something more natural, however i found these products to be very nice. After using all three together, my hair felt soft, smooth and detangled. I really enjoyed the scent of the Shampoo, smelling of fresh citrus, wasn't too strong but left my hair smelling lovely. I found the lather nice and didn't find it stripping or dry between shampoo and conditioner application. I always double shampoo. I enjoyed this product and would try again, I have recommended it to a friend with hair breakage issues too.

This is a delightful little shampoo. It smells nice, it goes on with a lather but not over the time soapy. I've got long dyed blond hair so I was quite wary. My roots don't feel as oily (even when I've got regrowth) and my end not so dry... sometimes my end feel crunchy and this shampoo has softened them right up. It also doesn't leave any residue (silicone or otherwise) I do wish it had a toner in it, so I use it alternating with a purple shampoo every few washes. I do think it can get a little heavy if I use it too often (and don't alternate). For the price point, I'll definitely purchase again.

This shampoo is amazing! I have dry damaged blonde hair and it literally made my hair feel so clean and fresh, smooth and not tangled! I have been a hairdresser for over 16 years and I honestly would use this product again and recommend to clients, friends and family! What’s even better about this Shampoo is that it comes with an amazing Conditioner and Leave in treatment! This product is something I will purchase and use again. I love that this is designed for Blondes but it’s not a violet toning shampoo, not all blondes want to be ash and cool toned so I think this caters well to all blondes, everyone can customise there look.

I have had a full head of bleached hair for a little over 2 years and i wish i found this product sooner. It has doesn't smell too fragrant nor does it have a chemical smell which is great. Initially i thought this would be somewhat of a purple shampoo as it comes in purple packaging but nonetheless it still works great. My hair feels super clean after use however it does not feel like it has strengthen yet, will keep using to see the difference. After washing and using the leave in conditioner my hair feels light and looks moisturised. Styling has become a lot more efficient and my hair has a better hold on products.

I have blonde hair that I get foiled every 3 months, it tends to get rather dry and brittle, being thin, so I need a shampoo that is gentle, tones well, and provides hydration, repairs damage. I found the consistency of this really easy to use and left my scalp feeling fresh and clean. You don't need too much and it lathers well - also, love the smell! It keeps my hair feeling hydrated instead of stripped and there was less frizz than I usually get. I'm not sure how colour maintenance stands up - I think my other shampoo may perform better - but this provides more hydration. I think I'll probably alternate!l

I have used this shampoo a few times now and I think overall my hair has been softer and shiner. It’s hard to tell if it’s stronger as I’ve only used it a few times. I have highlighted blonde hair and it can become dry sometimes so I think this shampoo does make a difference and helps it feel softer and shinier. I’ll keep using it to see if my hair feels strengthened at all. I also feel like if does help to keep the colour of my blonde hair nice and not brassy. I also think is smells really good like a perfumed scent.

Matrix Unbreak My Blonde Shampoo genuinely surprised me! I actually expected it to be purple first off! Second the texture is amazing! I love when the texture of the shampoo is nice and thick! Amazing results always wash my hair twice but honestly it’s almost similar to a clarifying shampoo and for fine hair I’d recommend 1 shampoo is all that is needed! The packaging is so simple yet eye catching! I adore the packaging of this product! Very subtle scent to it, which I prefer! Not too chemical like smell, very refreshing almost citrus smell to it! The quality of my hair has dramatically improved by using the trio of shampoo, conditioner and leave in treatment! Less tangles, more nourished, a beautiful shine to my hair! Overall my hair is looking it’s best!as a first time user of Matrix I am not disappointed with my results! Please use this product if you’re hair is in desperate need of some TLC!

Really lovely shampoo. It cleansed my scalp really well, without leaving my hair feeling stripped. I didn't mind the citrusy scent either - I think it leaves you feeling 'clean' and refreshed. Did the shampoo leave my hair feeling stronger? I'm not sure. As long as it's very gentle on my hair and scalp, whilst cleansing away oil and styling product build up, I'm happy! I know a lot of beauties were hoping that this shampoo would be purple toned, but Im glad it's not. I find 99% of purple toning shampoos to be drying (and the pigment catches to the driest parts of your hair - usually the ends - therefore leaving an uneven result and drier hair). The packaging is simple and I like the purple colour. It's maybe not super fancy or 'new' (innovative) looking, but it's practical and still looks good in my bathroom!
