Neostrata® Clarify Oily Skin Solution

This toner, as well as the other products in the range, really helped reduce and balance my skin's oiliness. I usually get a few hours in the morning before my T zone becomes a reflective surface, but now it's really not so noticeable any more. This product's texture is not quite watery, not quite gel-like. Be careful when dispensing because it tends to squirt out. I usually apply with just my fingers. It feels fine on my skin, never tight or uncomfortable, and it absorbs quite quickly. My skin always looks glowy and fresh after I use this product. I think with extended and regular use over time, it would help to minimise my acne scarring. I didn't use this or any of the other products in the range every day, as I'm not keen on using acids daily. But it's been a nice addition to my weekly rotation of exfoliating products.

When I received this product to test, I decided to swap it out for my current AHA toning solution (a glycolic acid solution). I am aware of Mandelic acid as a product and have used it before in the form of a serum, but never as a toning solution. I found that this oily skin solution is much more gentle than my glycolic acid toner (not surprised at all!) and as a result, it was more of a pleasure to use. I was able to use this every day as the first step in my skincare routine (after cleansing, of course!) One of my favourite characteristics is the packaging - its easy to get the right amount. You can easy apply it directly to your hands, or use a cotton pad/reusable makeup pad. Overall, I am very impressed with this oily skin solution! I have to wear a mask for the full duration of my workday and honestly feel that it makes a difference in how oily I am by lunch time and the end of the day, when i use this solution. Quick side note: don’t forget to layer on that SPF!!!

The Neostrata® Clarify Oily Skin Solution worked fantastically with my oily but dehydrated skin! It’s a chemical exfoliant with glycolic acid that felt gentle but effective in removing my excess oil without stripping my skin. I had no breakouts or redness using this product which is something I often have to watch out for when using a new product for the first time. It says it can be reapplied throughout the day but the bottle isn’t a great size or shape for storing in a handbag so I’m not sure about the practicality of that. I liked that it was fragrance-fee and oil-free as well.

This is a great toner to use day and night after cleansing for that extra clean feeling. I find it a little strong on days when my skin is sensitive from my acne medication but other than that is it great. I use a little dab on some cotton wool and a whole bottle lasts ages. I have been using this toner from Neostrata clarify range which helps to control oil on your skin my giving you a layer of protection so your skin feels nice and fresh through out the day ! This toner is watery so using it by cotton pad to clean your skin is the easiest way to use this toner ! Only little goes a long way ! I love the bottle design ! It’s quite unique and travel friendly! It is oil free and fragrance free! It can b wised through out the day and is ideal for oil prone skin with early aging signs.

I've just a number of toners over the years and whilst some have under delivered, I have been really happy with the Neostrata Clarify Oily Skin Solution. I generally apply this after I cleanse my skin in the morning and before applying moisturiser so it soaks in. The slight mild tingle is a nice awakening affect. I have seen over the month-long use that my t-zone is especially less oily and overall the skin texture has improved. I did find it hard to get product out due to the lip of lid but if you use a cotton round you'll be fine.

As someone with oily skin, I get blackheads a lot, this toner has mildly helped with their appearance. Like a typical toner is quite liquidy and doesn’t have too strong of a scent. With the use of a cotton pad it removes any oil or debris that I might have missed while cleansing. It’s a small bottle but you don’t really need much product for it to do it’s job. I don’t think it would be too harsh for most skin types. Overall it’s a nice toner which can help with diminishing the appearance of blackheads

Neostrata Clarify Oily Skin Solution is a good toner. I appreciated that this range was fragrance free and also appreciate that the brand uses scientifically based active ingredients such as glycolic acid. I use this every second morning as the second step in the Neostrata system. The product is nice to use, it was unique in that it has a thicker consistency to most toners. I applied it to a cotton pad before swiping over the face and neck. I could feel the active ingredients in this toner and could tell it was chemically exfoliating in a good way. My skin was clear, soft and baby smooth while using this product as part of the Neostrata system. I would recommend the Neostrata Clarify Oily Skin Solution.

I am 38 years old with oily/dehydrated skin and occasionally I get pimples. My main concerns are pores, pigmentation & skin texture (acne scars) I’ve been interested in NeoStrata products for a while and I was delighted to finally have an opportunity to try their products. I’ve been using the entire clarify range and because I wanted to avoid over exfoliating my skin, I only use this twice or three times a week and only use it for my oily area like nose & cheeks. I was not sure if 8% Glycolic Acid (AHA) is stronger or not, but I’ve been using this lotion for a few weeks and I didn’t experience any sensitivity, dryness nor peeling. I haven’t seen any dramatic improvements for my oily skin and pore. My pores have been not so clogged from the start that’s why I didn’t see any changes. But the shine from nose has slightly reduced. Last a few weeks my diet has been very bad and I have only one small pimple under my chin. Surprisingly it healed very quickly and I believe it’s because of NeoStrata Clarify skincare range. I recommend this AHA lotion if you have oily skin as well as overall improvement for adult skin. Overall, I highly rate this product. Great formula and I’ll definitely continue to use this product.

This is an awesome toner! It quickly gets absorbed into the skin and leaves my oily skin looking healthy but not shiny. I apply it to my hands and spread it on my face. I have been using it for the last 4 weeks in conjunction with the mandelic clarifying cleanser, mandelic mattifying serum and exfoliating mask from the same range. I haven't had a single pimple or whitehead since and I also haven't noticed any blackheads -- happy dance!! I just wished that the packaging was bigger - it's 100ml - because although I don't need to apply much each time, I'm using it twice every day and I don't want to finish it any time soon.

This product has glycolic acid in it. Slightly stronger than mandelic acid. When I apply it , I do find my skin tingles a little. However nothing alarming and the tingling sensation lasts about a minute. The consistency is thicker than a toner. Kind of an in between serum and toner consistency. You have to be careful about dispensing the product because I sometimes pour more than I need onto my hands. You have to be very gentle in tipping it over to control the amount of product that comes out of this bottle. It 's quite concentrated and I feel I only need a little bit. The product is amazing, it really controlled the excess sebum and helped my skin maintain the matte balanced look and not become overly oily throughout the day. This product did not dry out my skin and did not cause any dry or flaky skin. I noticed my skin felt so smooth and bright. The wonderful feeling and look of skin that has had a beautiful facial treatment. This can be used on its own but if you use it with the serum , it packs the punch. My favourite product out of the range. If I want an instant pick me up of my skin and want to instantly brighten my skin and look fresh, this is the product I would pick. My skin is so smooth and supple and has that youthful glow. It has a slight scent to it.

Neostrata® Clarify Oily Skin Solution is a toner that is formulated to exfoliate & target clogged pores & excess surface oil. Upon first use I loved the fresh clean scent & smooth consistency, not as liquid as other toners. Initally, my skin didn’t feel like it was being stripped & it felt nourished, hydrated, clean & fresh. However, after using the Toner for 2 days my skin started to sting & burn immediately after each use. Unfortunately it got worse the next 2 days & I had to stop using this product. Whilst I was using this product, it did help minimise shine, & I liked that it was Oil-free, non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic. Unfortunately it was not for me, but that’s not to say it won’t be suited to someone with different skin conditions.

This is the toner that the first time I tried but does a good job. It help my skin more clear and brighter after I use cotton and wipe all the excess oil, dirt left after I used the cleanser, it helps minimise the pore, the shine, my skin doesn’t feel dry or greasy with this toner, very smooth and freshen up throughout the day. The good part with this toner has reduced the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, which helps early signs of ageing. Formulated with glycolic acid so it is suitable for oily/acne skin plus oil-free, fragrance-free, non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic. I used to use Clinique Clarifying lotion for my oily/acne-prone skin but this toner is better than that and It is absorbed into my skin, my skin feels more moisture after I apply it. I would like to recommend oily/acne-prone skin. It is a good toner for my skincare.

This toner is quite nice and you can feel the AHAs/BHAs doing their job. I found this a little too harsh to use on my skin everyday/twice day in combination with the rest of the range but rather used it 3 times a week or every other day when my skin was feeling extra oily or congested. It feels lovely applied on the skin, and keeps skin feeling refreshed. It didn't cause me to break out or have a reaction which is always a win! Overall a nice product not the best toner I have ever user but does the job.

I have combo to oily skin, with big pores prone to whiteheads, mid aged. Uneven skin tone. Used acids before, skin tough. This toner is clear, no scent, medium runny. Contains : Water, Alcohol Denat., Glycolic Acid (8%), Propylene Glycol, Ammonium Hydroxide, Polyquaternium-10, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Polysorbate 20. Very simple formula. After cleanse I apply this toner, let it dry (allowing all alcohol to evaporate), it quickly makes my skin prepped for the serum/cream. Keeps my pores free of whiteheads and gently, slowly exfoliates. It is not too strong for my skin as I use acids regularly for a long time. Skin when using this toner is smooth and keeps its elasticity and plumpness.

This was my first time using the Neostrata® Clarify Oily Skin Solution. It’s a toner which worked well with my combination oily skin. It didn’t dry out my skin (which I have struggled with in the past), but instead left my skin feeling clean and fresh. I would first cleanse and then apply the toner with a cotton pad. The product packaging itself is nice and simple, a good sized bottle and the product was easy to use. I having been using it in conjunction with the Neostrata cleanser, mask and serum and have noticed it has kept my oily skin at bay.

I have oily combination skin so I was very excited to use this solution. Pros: I love that it is non-comedogenic, non-acnegenic and oil-free! Being oily, it is very important that the products I use won’t cause my skin to break out more than it already does. It is fragrance-free! While I don’t mind some fragrance in skincare as my skin tolerates it (whether or not I like the scent is another story) but some people are sensitive to it so it not being included as an ingredient makes this suitable for more people. Due to the absence of fragrance, this does have a sort of chemical smell to it but it isn’t unpleasant or strong, and quickly dissipates as soon as it is applied. I love the texture! I prefer toning type products to have a slightly viscous consistency (thicker than water) so I can apply them with my hands with ease and without wastage. This is perfect for using with my hands, and also great for using with a pad. It works! I found this to really help control the oily on my skin for hours after application. Cons: Unfortunately this did irritate my skin slightly at times, with a brief stinging sensation in a couple of tiny spots. I had no lasting irritation, only the brief sting which also didn’t happen every time. I ended up diluting the solution with a gentle calming toner which solved the issue, but I’m not sure why it happened as I have used products with different acids, including glycolic, of varying strengths many times without issue. Due to this, I can see this as possibly being irritating to someone with very sensitive skin. Conclusion: After a few weeks of use, I found the amount of excess sebum on my face was reduced (also on my upper back/neck where I break out) which I attribute to the use of this and the other three products I used from the Neostrata Clarify range. My overall congestion and the amount of breakouts I experienced have reduced since using these products. I think this range can be beneficial to anyone as gentle exfoliation is fantastic for keeping skin clear and youthful, so I definitely recommend for anyone interested in the benefits to try it. If you have sensitive skin though, I definitely recommend you don’t skip the patch testing with this particular product due to my experience.

I’ve tried sooo many toners and few have quite hit the mark like this one has.   As someone with oily and sensitive skin, I’m always cautious when it comes to trying new products. This clarifying solution has no perfume and a little goes a long way, so use sparingly. It has been great on my skin – no new breakouts and existing spots are slowly decreasing in redness and inflammation.  My skin feels ‘tight’ after toning, but once moisturised this sensation settles. For those with extra sensitive skin maybe start by using once a day.   Overall my skin feels clear, my pores look smaller and imperfections have reduced.

I have a trouble with congestion and after using this product for a week I noticed a significant difference in the size of my pores, reduction in congestion and my face not looking so oily. The Clarify Oily Skin Solution did dry my skin out a bit after using it everyday, however, I've just paired it back and use it every 2-3 days because my skin is a bit sensitive and I mainly use it on the areas that I have bad congestion. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with oily skin it works wonders!

It has been a long time since i have found a toner that is effective without stinging or feeling like a useless step. This one impressed me. I have been using this product once a day, after cleansing, in the evening. I apply it to a cotton pad a wipe over freshly cleansed skin. It does not have a scent and it does not sting the skin. However, I would not recommend using this over the eyes. The bottle is sturdy and being a liquid, comes out of the bottle easily. Personally, i think this product is a little overpriced and I would probably wait for a sale to purchase it again but i would consider purchasing again in the future.
