Remington Advanced Coconut Therapy Curling Tong - CI8648AU

I live this Remington advance coconut therapy tong. It works so quickly and had my hair nicely waved. This is the larger barrel so you get really nice waves that look really nice. You don’t have to have your hair I. The heat for long as it works quickly. I am very happy with this curler. And I would recommend to all my friends and family. The coconut therapy is a nice added bonus and I really love the cover for the curler, it is just the right size to fit it into my bag when I go away. Very happy with this curler tong.

I was lucky enough to trial this product as a part of review crew. I have owned and used a couple of Remington hair tongs in the past, so I was interested to see how this one compared. I used the curler on clean hair to style it before an event. It was fairly easy to use, although I did find that the clamp was stiffer than previous models I’ve tried. This meant my arm got tired quickly while using the curler. I also noticed that the hair did not slide over and around the barrel as easily as with other curlers. I felt my hair snagging and kinking which wasn’t ideal. I was surprised at this given the ‘coconut therapy’ aspect of the tong. Overall I think there are better curlers out there at a similar price point.

I am so excited to share my feedback on this product, very fortunate to receive it as a trail product. This product is definitely better than the standard products available in the market or I have used. I am very pleased using it. It does what it promise, taking less time and therefore I would highly recommend this product to everyone. Best part of this product is that it consumes less time, it heats quickly, I have very frizzy hair, this product helps in removing the extra frizz not the volume, its a lasting product even in rainy or humid weather and It makes my hair very soft, giving it the required volume after use. It's easy to create voluminous curls with the Integrated heat sensor on the product, it simple and easy to control the heat settings. Using this product I learnt a great trick, Start from the ends, then twist the required portion of your hair and secure the end of the lock you are dealing with and wait for 30 seconds, done it will show you results in just 30 seconds, no extra heating required. But the tip of the device gets hot so be aware of it but regardless of this i dint find it producing that much of heat to my hair or it never smoked my hair and my curls came out shiny looking glamorous in like 30 seconds.There is no sticking or tugging And it comes up with a cute durable storage pouch.

It’s been years since I’ve used a curler like this (giving me flashbacks to the late 2000s!) but I was keen to see what has improved for curlers in the past 15 years! Firstly I loved the different temperature settings available, each used for a certain kind of hair type, ensuring you have control over what you need for your hair. Secondly I loved the chunky cool tip end on the curler - it’s not a new feature but the size of it was big enough that there was minimal risk of accidentally touching the barrel which is a great improvement. Trying to use the curler did take a little bit of practice as it can be a bit awkward to hold (whilst keeping it a safe distance from the scalp!) but I liked that with each curl, it left my hair feeling smoother, with less flyaways and frizziness. One negative was the barrel is quite big/thick so it’s not suited to shorter hair. My hair is just above shoulder length at the moment so unfortunately it didn’t work as well as curling with a straightener, but I think it would work for people with longer hair. I probably won’t get much use out of this curler at the moment but look forward to revisiting it once my hair grows out a little more!

I was picked to trial the Remington Advanced Coconut Therapy Tong. This is the first time I have ever used a curling wand on my hair which is already curly and damaged frizzy hair so I usually straighten my hair to make it manageable. Without straightening it I curled it using a heat protectant spray without straightening it first. The curls turned out very nice and bouncy and stayed in place with a little bit of hairspray. Overall this is a good product that didn’t damage my hair from use and left very nice curls.

I have loved creating curls and brushing out into loose waves. Crispy curls no more with built in UV and filters and infused with coconut my curls have come out super shiny and smooth. This curling tong has built in sensors that constantly reads the temp of your hair continuously regulating the barrel to prevent overheating. Lightweight, easy to hold, clamp and curl Remington have really thought this one through it couldn’t be easier once plugged in it’s ready to go in just 20 seconds. I’m not a fan of bouncy curls but I absolutely love waves so I’ve been creating the perfect waves by creating curls all over my head and loosely brushing them out then running through my hair with a serum and light hold hair spray. This curler also has a really long swivel cord which for me is vital when in the bathroom for movement and being able to manoeuvre comfortably around my head. I have been loving the results from this curler and highly recommend it.

I received this to trial and have never used a curling tong before so I was excited to give it a try. The barrel is 32mm and it claims to create voluminous curls and waves. The barrel size would make it unsuitable for anyone with hair shorter than shoulder length in my opinion. The instruction book is very basic and could be clearer, I know it's not rocket science , but a few more hints and tips, or even illustrations, would be helpful for people new to this type of product. It is infused with coconut and uv filters but their is very little information about the science behind that and I doubt it benefits my hair in a big way. It comes with a heavy duty pouch for storage but it only fits the tong itself, so I have to find a way to keep the cord neat. Their are three heat temperature settings and it heats up very quickly. Just like it promises it creates big waves and they look sleek and frizz free. I only use the lowest heat setting which is 140C. That is the setting recommended for fine or damaged/bleached hair. The highest setting is only recommended for experienced users only. This has'nt converted me to the regular use of heat styling tools. Overall I found it awkward and too time consuming to use, as well as cumbersome to store in my bathroom. Even with a heat protectant product applied to my hair prior to use I don't feel confident using it regularly. My hair is quite porous and I have bleached the ends so I am always doing my best to keep it as healthy as possible. The lowest setting feels too hot for me. I will tick the box on this review that asks if I would recommend this product to someone as I know there are people who use these appliances regularly on their hair who may feel more confident and enjoy this curling tong more than me. It also delivers on it's promise of what it will make your hair look like. But for me personally I don't feel it warrants more than 3 stars.

I was so excited to try this as my current hair tong was not working. I found the packaging great! It was simple and love the little carry bag that it comes with. This made it really easy to store in the bathroom or take with me whilst I'm travelling. I also use heat protector with any hot styling tools and would recommend this for anyone regardless off the type of product. I found the tong a good size as the curls were not too big or too small and found that being in the middle the curls stayed in the for the day. I also used a little hairspray. I think this is a great alternative for those who do not want to buy more a more expensive option!

It was so easy to use, was quick to heat up, and gives you perfect curls in seconds. Its a great styling tool for anyone with medium to long length hair, and requires very minimal skill in hair styling to produce fantastic results. In summary, I would definitely recommend this styling tool to anyone looking for an easy and effective way to style your hair at home.

I was soo excited to try this Remington Advanced Coconut Therapy curling wand. It looks super luxurious and weightless. I have curly hair but I usually straighten it and then curl it to have drop curls, this curler has a heat protector feature so my hair don’t get fried for straightening and then curling again like I usually do. It’s infused with coconut oil which I assume helps keep the hair frizz free and lessen the damage. I love how bounce and super soft my curls felt. It gives a professional finish that you can’t usually do it yourself. Absolutely loving the results

It’s so easy to use and gives gorgeous curls that look natural quickly and with ease. It has an integrated heat sensor to protect my hair so no burning occurs and it doesn’t damage my hair. At $80.00 it’s great value with great results so I would certainly recommend buying one, it looks like I have just stepped out of a salon. The ceramic coated barrel is infused with coconut and uv filters for better hair protection. It also gives a frizz free result which is great because my hair tends to frizz. The handle is comfortable to hold and it’s lightweight also. It comes with a lovely soft storage pouch to help protect it which is a nice bonus as well. It heats up fast and is ready to go in just 30 seconds. Love this Remington curling tong and highly recommend it
