Thanks to the air technology, I’m able to dry my hair quickly without relying on extreme heat. I’ve noticed far fewer flyaways, and my hair feels smoother and stays frizz free all day, without that dry damaged feeling. It’s also incredibly lightweight. I have thick hair, and with my old 12+ year-old professional dryer, I’d usually need to swap hands or take breaks because it was so heavy. With this one, I can comfortably dry my hair in one go without arm fatigue. I especially love the comfort setting, which alternates between warm and cool air. It’s much gentler on my sensitive scalp while still getting the job done efficiently. Another standout feature is the beautiful extra long 3 meter cord. Not being stuck right next to the outlet makes such a difference so I can move around freely while styling. The slim styling concentrator and curl defining diffuser are included and magnetically attach to the front, making it quick and easy to switch between attachments depending on how I want to style my hair. Overall, it’s a thoughtfully designed dryer that delivers smooth, healthy looking results while being lightweight and easy to use.

This new release T-shaped purple hair dryer from Remington is quite compact and lightweight. It features 4 heat settings (low, medium, high, alternating hot/cold), 3 fan speeds and a cool shot button, and comes with two attachments - a curling diffuser and a slim concentrator. Having used several different hair dryers in the past 5 years, what stood out for me was how the motor felt. It seemed to spin up really quickly and shut down instantly. It turns out that this uses one of the new generation brushless DC electric motor (BLDC). This is the same type of motor that Dyson uses in their hair dryers. These motors have less wear and tear, longer life, and have higher efficiency. The motor in this hairdryer can spin up to 110,000 RPM and generate air speeds of 240km/h. As a comparison, the older Remington Proluxe Digital needed 2300W to generate 100km/h air speeds. Even though the air outlet seems small, the airflow was quite impressive. By selecting the medium heat setting with high speed fan setting, my chest-length hair is dried in a few minutes. It was also quieter than all my other hair dryers even at the highest speed. One extra bonus worth mentioning is that this hair dryer has a Comfort+ mode, which alternates between hot/cold temperatures so that your hair and scalp don't get too hot. I have seen this alternating mode in Panasonic hair dryers and it is also excellent for setting your style. This hair dryer is impressive, and it took me by surprise. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for their next hair dryer, since it's also reasonably priced given the quality. Given the longevity of BLDC motors, it's no surprise that it has an impressive 5 year warranty. A solid choice.
