Remington ONE Dry & Styler Hairdryer – D6077AU

The weight of the Remington ONE Dry & Styler Hairdryer is about the same as the hairdryer I’ve been using, but the compact design makes it so much easier to use and gives me more control. The shorter barrel and handle feel more comfortable in my hands and the buttons are easier to reach if I want to change the settings while I’m using the hairdryer. The power is unbelievable. Even though my hair is short it normally takes forever to dry because it retains so much moisture but I’m now drying and styling my hair in half the time. The styling attachments are easy to put on and take off – my favourite being the extra wide slim styling concentrator which smooths my hair and reduces the time it takes to straighten my hair. There are just so many aspects of this hairdryer that I love from the amazing performance to the lovely storage bag. This little beauty will be my new travel companion and will be getting a real workout.

I've been a happy user of Remington hair dryers and this is my third one - the first being the 2300W Proluxe Digital Salon Hair Dryer and the second the 1800W AIR3D Plus. I've been using this Remington ONE for 1.5 months now. It comes with 2000W of power, 3 heat settings, 2 fan speeds and cool shot. There are 4 attachments including a flyaway tamer that I haven't encountered before in other hair dryers. The best thing about this hair dryer is that it has 3 heat settings (not including the cool shot) when most other dryers come with 2. The lowest heat setting cooler than other low heat settings in my previous hairdryers. I like using this lowest heat setting combined with highest fan speed to reduce damage on my already dry hair. The attachments provide all the options I need for my hair which is straightened at the top with a wavy perm at the ends - the slim styling concentrator used with a brush gives a smooth finish to the top and mid parts of my hair, and the curl defining diffuser helps with drying the wavy-permed ends back to shape. The flyaway tamer (used on dry hair) helps me touch up misbehaving hairs. There is also a gentle drying diffuser (which is just the base for the curl defining diffuser) that can be used on waves to speed up the drying process without changing the hair shape. I must say that after many weeks using it, I still can't get over how loud this is, despite not being the most powerful hair dryer. It doesn't have the same salon-quality feel as the Proluxe digital, nor the lightness of the AIR3D Plus. It feels like Remington has tried to fit good attachments and settings into a $149.95 model by sacrificing the actual motor which is the workhouse of the unit. While it is not bad per se, it just lacks behind the other two Remington hair dryers. It's a shame, as I do like the settings and attachments.
