My sister got me into these Revlon ColorStay Matte Lite Crayons. I only like Mayte lipsticks so I was excited to try this as well. I was expecting a chalky consistency but to my surprise it was so light and hydrating on my lips. It applied super smoothly and it felt like a pigmented lip balm. I’m really surprised how light weight it felt on my lips. It didn’t like for more than a couple of hours for me, I did set it with a powder to get a more matte look. Overall for the price I really like this. Comes in different shades too
I was quite surprised that the ColorStay Matte Lite Crayon applied so smoothly with more of a satin matte finish rather than a dry matte finish which I’ve come to expect from a matte lipstick. I’ve been using the shade Take Flight (004) which I would describe as a rose pink. The texture of the crayon is soft and creamy and makes my lips feel really hydrated and nourished and it is totally comfortable to wear. The colour is quite pigmented and lasts until I start eating (a normal situation for me). I’ve also used the crayon as a blush which gives a gorgeous splash of colour to my cheeks and lifts my skin. The attached sharpener is an added bonus and appreciated because I can never find a sharpener when needed.
Surprisingly for a matte lip colour, this was quite hydrating and tasted lovely, it was light and refreshing on my lips. Its colour pigment is rich and its consistency is silky smooth, without the drying flaky appearance some other matte lip colours create. I applied this crayon on my lips in the morning and the colour was still prevalent late afternoon. I also love the sharpening feature inside the lid which creates a perfect pointed tip for perfect application each and every time after you have applied it.
Velvety and bold
I really loved the Revlon ColorStay matte Lite Crayon. I am a big red lipstick wearer so love to try new shades and products. I really like this one as it applies in a really clean and sharp way which is super important to me when wearing red lipstick. I also found that the ColorStay really did stay again an import quality in a red lip. I love a matte finish too and this product was really well executed in that it wasn’t drying at all which is usually the case with matte products. I found it created a voluptuous and velvety finish perfected by the sharp lines I was able to create. The packaging was neat and its easy to wind it up. All in all I would recommend to anyone who loves to wear red lipstick as it really makes it a simple process.
I got this lip pen crayon as a reviewer, and I really liked it! I thought it was a fantastic feeling on the lips and it was very lightweight. It applied in a smooth silky way, as opposed to other lip crayons I've tried that took a bit more pressure to apply.
It didn't budge all day, even after I talked a lot, drank a lot, and ate. It lasted all night and only took one reapplication to look new again.
The color was a tiny bit light for my skintone, but when paired with a slightly darker lip liner, it worked great.
I didn't find it as drying as other matte lip crayons- it was a little bit more than with a gloss, but nothing major.
Good colour payoff
I enjoyed using this lip crayon. It has a good colour payoff and does drain nicely on the lips. It is very easy to use and you can get clear lines even without sharpening. The crayon it self has a good amount of product and seems reasonably sturdy and not likely to splinter or crumble. The only thing that could be improved with the product is that it does transfer quite easily, although in saying that it is easy to touch up when required. I would recommend this product and especially this shade. It is just like your lips but better, which is the perfect shade for data day and can easily be spiced up to go from day to night.
The Revlon colour stay matte lite crayon really surprised me, it is easy to apply and the colour looks amazing with my skin with the matte look that doesn’t dry out your lips. I find lots of the matte lip products can really take the moisture out and cause my lips to crack. It’s good for an everyday used for people who like vibrant colours and long lasting product. I would definitely try this product again with my neutral tones.
The pencil it comes in is easy to throw in to your bag, as long as the lid remains on and makes application easy to control.
I got this nifty lip pencil as a reviewer. From the outset, I was a little skeptical by the matte finish of this. I’m a lip balm addict and can’t stand dry lips or any sort of caking or pilling but was pleasantly surprised.
I tried both with and without lip balm as a base. With lip balm wasn’t as effective as I’d hoped however without the base, I did still find it quite hydrating. The colour is bright and vibrant and because of the acute tip, can be applied with precision. I was also so happy to see it didn't smudge.
Finally I would say it’s really friendly for going out. One step application, one thing to pop in your handbag and easy to top up in the bathroom.
The product is great, easy to apply and the colour looks amazing with my skin.
It’s a basic colour that goes well with everything, my lips didn’t feel dry and weird as some other lipsticks.
It’s good for an everyday used for people who like vibrant colours and long lasting product.
It would be better if had more natural ingredients as my preference would always be for those, but overall is a good product that I would definitely recommend to other people and it’s part of my list now.
I would be keen to try new colours.
Pretty Shade, Nice Application
I was sent the Revlon ColorStay Matte Lite Crayon in Air kiss (Dark Red) to trial. Firstly off the bat, the shade of red I received was gorgeous as I love my dark red lippies. The product itself was so easy to apply, gliding on smoothly and being a really lightweight formula. That being said, I struggled with long wear usage of the product, having it transfer onto cups or straws while drinking and within a couple of hours it was basically all gone from my lips. I feel that there are better long-wear lipsticks out there but the easiness of application and color make it high up there in my lipsticks for wear.
I have recommended this to friends and family members
Bold Affordable Comfort
I received this in the colour 007 Mile High which is a bright fuchsia. While I love the colour in general, I’m not sure that it suits my skin tone as well as other shades might but it certainly makes a statement and is fun!
I love trying lip products but can be quite picky as I find it hard to find something comfortable, easy to apply, non-drying and with decent lasting power. I really dislike having to reapply often while worrying about looking like a patchy mess, and most products I’ve tried in the typical long-lasting formulas have sucked the life out of my lips. Not this one though!
First of all, I love that the pointed tip is used as a liner, with the flat edge filling in the rest. It makes it so quick and easy to use, and the built-in sharpener ensures it’s a perfect line every time and anywhere. I found it a real pleasure to use and the formula feels lovely and comfortable on my lips, to the point where I forgot I was wearing it (until my child looked a tad shocked/delighted at me due to the bold colour payoff). It is exciting finding a non-drying matte that doesn’t disappear in patches, lasting hours before reapplying without a fuss. I love that gloss can be used over the top for a shiny effect.
I think these are a fantastic choice for anyone wanting an affordable lip colour that doesn’t smudge or budge; long-lasting and practical. I would love to try some of the other shades, perhaps the more muted colours for blending into the crowd more.
Revlon ColorStay Matte Lite Crayon
The crayon is packaged in a stylish wind up crayon with a handy in built sharpener.
On application the formula is smooth, light and hydrating which was surprising as I have dry lips. The pointed tip ensures precise lining of the lips replacing the need for a lip liner. The flat edge of the tip fills in the rest of the lips with ease. The colour was richly pigmented and only required one layer.
The wear time was disappointing though and I required multiple applications during the day or a night out, however there was very little transfer.
I absolutely love this Revlon ColorStay Matte Lite Crayon and wish they have more colours. I received “Take Flight -004” as the tester. It was a nice nude rosy shade that is buildable without your lips feeling too heavy.
Despite being matte, it applied nicely with or without lip balm. I also love the long-lasting effect as the colour mostly remains in place after drinks/food. The only con is the built-in sharpener. I like the idea, but it is not practical. I found it extremely hard and troublesome to clean after using it.
Overall, I think this lip crayon is better than some high-end brands that I’ve tried, and will definitely try other colours.
Smooth and light
I am not usually a fan of matte lipstick because of how drying they can be, but I was excited to try this one purely for the name, Matte Lite.
I was pleasantly surprised and it lives up to it's lightweight promise. It glides on very smoothly and doesn't feel heavy on. It has reasonable staying power and doesn't dehydrate the lips at all.
The colour was lovely but probably not my first choice. I will be purchasing other colours though.
If you love the look of matte lipstick but hate the feel, I would highly recommend giving this a try.
Lovely Lip Crayon
I find a lot of matte crayons to be very drying on your lips but this product glides on easily and is nice and creamy for a matte crayon while still feeling light on your lips. It's very easy to use and you don't need to use a lot of the product to get great coverage. It feels great on your lips, has good staying power and was easy to maintain throughout the day. Even though I don't usually wear red lipstick the red that I tested was a lovely colour. For me it would be a great colour for a night out or for when you want that wow factor.
The packaging is lovely and easy to slip into a small handbag.
Thanks to Beauty Crew for the opportunity to test this product. I would recommend it to others.
Lightweight Pigmented Colour
I’m not usually a huge fan of most lip products, let alone matte ones, but this product was a pleasant surprise. It is super pigmented and glides on to the lips. It is lightweight and has a lovely satin/silky finish. I tested it all over the lip by itself, as a lip liner, and with a gloss on top and loved it all three ways.
I have quite dark, pink lips which make it hard to find lip colours that suit me. Take Flight (shade 004) is the perfect pink your-lips-but-better shade.
One star off because it wasn’t very long lasting and wore off quickly, and had to apply it several times throughout the day.
Bold and comfortable
I received the Revlon ColorStay Matte Lite Crayon in shade Mile High, and was very excited to try as I have enjoyed using crayon style lipsticks in the past. It is not a shade I would choose to purchase myself, so it was nice to venture out of my comfort zone. It is a very bright and bold pink shade, but I found that it only really looked good with a full face of makeup, or else it really washed out my complexion and made me look a sickly shade of green (I have a warm olive/yellow undertone).
The product applied nicely and evenly, it was quite opaque and easy to draw on. It’s a light consistency and smooth on the lips after initial application. It wore pretty evenly for the first 2-3 hours, was comfortable and not drying. At around the 3 hour mark, I started to notice some feathering happening at the lip line, which I cleaned up. It happened again within about an hour. It does seem that it is intended to also be used as a liner, but I did not find that it made the product stay put within the lips. It was also not practical to use as a lip liner after one use, as the tip blunted and was not fine enough to create traditional lip liner definition. It wore nicely on the actual lip (minus outside feathering) for about 4-5 hours before it needed touching up. It’s also not transfer proof and did slide around a bit, so I blotted excess with a tissue.
The second and third time I tried with clear lipliner, as I didn’t have a shade to match. It lasted about 5 hours before beginning to feather again. It could really just be the colour causing issues, as it is so bold that it is really easy and noticeable when imperfections occur. I would try this in a nude shade as the formula was comfortable, just to see whether it was isolated to the bolder colour.
I will keep this and purchase a similar coloured lip liner, it’s definitely a fun colour and I will enjoy having it in my rotation once I can work out how to make it stay put within the lip lines.
First glance I thought this was another one of those lip stick/ gloss that doesn’t last long.
Boy was I surprised! This was so lovely.
The colour was so bright and very pigmented. Such a staple colour for summer, it was so vibrant and just stood out. I tears sir as soon as I received it and I loved it, it literally just glides on my lips and feels super soft and very easy to apply. Loved the tip of this crayon lip colour reminded me of a sharpie. But just wow, literally obsessed with this new product.
I’ll definitely be using it even now in winter for a pick me up colour and we’ll for summer the sky’s the limit. I. Cannot wait to try some other bright colours to go with the season. I feel that it’s also Reasonably priced too which is always good considering the climate we are currently living in.
But all in all, I love it and I would highly recommend it. (Which I already have, received so many compliments the day I received). Thankyou for letting me be apart of trialling this product.
Light and Bright
I really enjoyed using this product. Shade was vibrant and easy to apply. Product was not to soft either so not a messy crayon and I really loved the scent ! There was definitely longevity to the wear as well. I particularly enjoyed it being lightweight and matte without being drying on the lips.
I trialled shade 007 mile high - this was a beautiful shade and so vibrant however personally wasn’t my taste so I did find it a bit more difficult to wear on different occasions. I would definitely consider purchasing other shares given the performance of the product however.
I trialled the Revlon ColorStay Matte Lite Crayon in the colour 007, Mile High, which was a bright pink. It was easy to apply to the lips as a liner, but also as a lipstick to cover. It definitely felt comfortable to wear and seemed to be long lasting.
It would be more convenient to carry to touch up during the day than other lip crayons or pencils as there is a sharpener at the end of the product.
It would be good for everyday use in other colours, however the pink was much brighter than my everyday makeup and would be more suitable for a special occasion.
