Hard to control the amount of powder
I tried the Thanks to Nature dry shampoo powder and while it did refresh my hair, it left a noticeable white residue even on my dark blonde hair. I tried brushing it out and working it in with my fingers, but it was still visible.
On the plus side, it has almost no scent, which I really liked.
However, I still prefer aerosol dry shampoos because you have much more control when spraying directly at the roots. With this powder, I pressed a little too hard and it went everywhere and my bathroom was covered in it.
Unfortunately, I won’t be repurchasing this.
Pleasantly Surprised
I was pleasantly surprised by this dry shampoo! I've been looking for a non-aerosol dry shampoo for a while so that I can take it travelling with me so trying this dry shampoo was great timing. I have fine dark brown hair and it didn't leave any residue or white cast. That being said, I use dry shampoo at night so that it soaks up oils as they appear during the night. On first usage, I used WAY too much and it left a white cast that remained the next morning. The next time I used it, I used 3 pumps/puffs (1 on the left side of my head, 1 on the right and 1 in the middle) and that is the perfect amount. It doesn't make my hair feel like straw - it literally feels as though I have just washed it. Highly recommend!
Light, Natural Refresh Between Washes
I’ve been using this dry shampoo powder for a couple of weeks now, mostly on busy mornings or after workouts, and overall it works fairly well for refreshing my hair between washes. It absorbs oil nicely at the roots and adds a bit of volume, which helps my hair look less flat during the day. You do have to be careful with the amount, though, because if you apply too much it can leave a slightly dusty look, especially on darker hair 😅. The scent is very light and natural, and it fades quickly, which I personally prefer since strong fragrances give me a headache. Packaging was solid and the delivery was fast, so everything arrived in good condition. While it doesn’t completely replace a real wash and my hair can feel a little greasyy again by evening, it’s still useful for quick touch-ups and short-term freshness.
A nice alternative to classic dry shampoos
I was pleasantly surprised by the Thanks to Nature Dry Shampoo Powder! I have only ever really used aerosol dry shampoos, apart from a time where I briefly tried baby powder. This product is also a powder, but overall I found it very effective! The style of the packaging is quite interesting - it acts as a powder puff where you 'puff' some of the powder out at the top. The directions on the product are clear and easy to follow. The powder does come out either very finely or in a concentrated spot, but it is very easy to blend into your hair with fingers or a brush. The overall effect is super natural - it really does refresh your hair in a much more healthy, natural way than aerosol sprays. It leaves your hair actually feeling clean, fresh and soft.
Worth a try
I have a really oily scalp eapecially during winter and a dry shampoo is a must. I was looking fir a non-aerosol one and glad to have been given the chance to try this new product by thanks to nature. The positives: first, non- aerosol as mentioned. Need I say more. Travel friendly and cute colour of the packaging. Absorbs oil in the scalp and has a nice gentle fresh scent. The negatives: the packaging was a bit of a puzzle at first or I was just not reading the instructions properly. Next, a bit messy and hard to blend.
Not bad
Nature Dry Shampoo Instant Refresh is a decent option if you need a quick boost between washes. It absorbs oil reasonably well and adds a bit of lift at the roots, which is helpful on rushed mornings. The scent is light and not overpowering, which I appreciate.
That said, it’s not the most long-lasting dry shampoo I’ve used. The refreshed feel wears off after a few hours, especially on really oily hair. It can also leave a slight powdery residue if you use too much, so a light hand works best.
Overall, it’s an okay everyday product good for a quick refresh, but not a standout if you need heavy-duty oil control.
Wouldn’t repurchase
This product was a bit underwhelming. I’ll start with the positives: it has a clean fresh scent and does the trick for absorbing excess oil. Another massive plus is that it isn’t an aerosol. That means it’s better for the environment, easy to travel with and also doesn’t take up much room. However, I found it left quite a white cast in my dark brown hair. It also left my hair very straw-like. This would be a great product for someone with lighter hair, or if you wanted to add a lot of volume. I think I could make this work with a lighter hand, but I found it was a bit hard to distribute through my hair and so I ended up using too much. Overall, I probably wouldn’t repurchase but it might work if you’re very keen on a better option for the environment or wanting a lot of volume!
Disappointing honestly..
Thanks to Nature Dry Shampoo Powder Instant Refresh, did I like it? Yes. Did I love it? No.
The first time I used it, I really like how there was no aerosol so I wasn't coating the entire room I'm in in a fine white cloud like other dry shampoos of used. This lack of aerosol also enabled me to be more accurate in my application, really liked this.
BUT it claims to have zero residue, I did not have this experience at all, I ended up with white flecks all through my hair making it look like dandruff even after lots and LOTS of brushing, still there. I also have dark blonde hair and still had obvious white cloudy looking roots, which was disappointing. Definitely would not be able to use this on dark hair. With starch being the primary ingredient (not which hazel) this would explain the white-ness, you could basically use baby powder and get the same result.
I did like however there was no overpowering fragrance. End of the day, would I buy this product again? No.
