Thanks to Nature Dry Shampoo Powder Instant Refresh

I received this to try and gave it a go over a 3 week period. I have a newborn baby so I’m very time poor at the moment. I really love the no fragrance and the fact it doesn’t have the chemicals from the aerosol function. While it did leave some residue, I was able to brush this out. The pros outweigh the cons for me with this one so I would recommend and I definitely would be buying again as I’m always looking for better products for myself that do not have that fake smell. However, I do have blonde hair so it might be more of an issue for someone who has darker hair who is able to see the residue more obviously than lighter hair.

I really liked the effect of this dry shampoo. It instantly worked on my oily scalp and the effect of it is long lasting. It's much nicer than most aerosols I've tried out which are too fragrant, this was a much more subtle scent. It also gives great volume. My only challenge with this is the applicator, it's really tiny and there a balance between puffing a bit of dust vs dumping a small load of powder in one spot. I reckon this would work much better like a little twisty powder applicator so it can spread more evenly. I found that if a lot come out it gets stuck on the scalp and is really noticable if you have darker hair.

I’ve moved on from spray dry shampoo as I think it must be terrible to breathe that in, before trying this I had already been using another powdered dry shampoo. What really stood out to me with Thanks to Nature is the application/ bottle style. The best way I can describe it is that you puff on the powder. It makes such a difference and I much prefer this style compared to other powder products I’ve tried where you sprinkle on the powder on your hair. Dry shampoo is a must for me as I have greasy-prone roots and rely on it to stretch out time between washes. This product definitely does the job and leaves my hair feeling refreshed. If I apply too much it can leave my hair looking a bit white, but that’s the same with every dry shampoo I’ve used and it’s easily fixed by brushing it through. I also really like the bottle size. It’s compact and convenient, making it great for travel. On top of that, the price point is very reasonable, which makes it even better. Overall, I’m really happy with this product and would continue using it.

I’ll start by saying I have tried a lot of dry shampoos in my quest to find one that actually works. Drugstore, high-end, wildly overpriced and wildly over-hyped - I’ve tried them all. Thanks to hormonal changes, I’ve been blessed with the oily hair of a teenager and a super-sensitive scalp to match. I also have fine, straight hair that somehow looks greasy by day one post-wash, so as a busy mum, dry shampoo isn’t optional — it’s survival. Many dry shampoos either do nothing, make my hair look worse, or irritate my scalp. I’d finally settled on a favourite (in the exact same bottle & format as this one, but white, purchased from Mecca), so I was genuinely excited to try Thanks to Nature's as a more affordable alternative - and honestly, I’m impressed. This is hands down one of the best dry shampoos I’ve used in years. It actually absorbs oil rather than just masking it, leaving my hair looking genuinely clean, refreshed, and matte — not chalky or heavy. Even better, it keeps working throughout the day. Where other dry shampoos still had me washing every second day, this little gem has stretched me to every third day, which feels like a minor miracle. I have blonde hair, so I can’t speak for how it performs on darker shades, but on me it leaves only a very subtle powdery residue, no overpowering fragrance, and my hair still feels soft rather than stiff or gritty and my scalp has not flared up. My only real gripe is the size. With only 17g of product, the bottle feels practically empty from the start. While I initially thought I’d found a much cheaper alternative, my previous dry shampoo (in the identical bottle) contains 50g of product, making the price per gram essentially the same. So while the name Thanks to Nature suggests an eco-friendly option, I’ll end up going through three plastic bottles to get the same amount of product, which doesn’t quite align with that impression. Slightly disappointing. That said, if you’re dealing with oily roots, fine hair, or a sensitive scalp and want a dry shampoo that actually delivers on its promises - this one is absolutely worth trying, especially when on sale. I just wish for more product in the bottle.

Usually when I apply dry shampoo I have to get on the balcony to spray my hair and then leave the balcony quickly so I don’t inhale any. However, with this particular dry shampoo, it’s aerosol free so I don’t have to worry about accidentally inhaling dry shampoo air. It’s also a small more compact size so I can just pop it into my work bag for touchups. The way to puff the dry shampoo out of the bottle takes some trial and error but I finally figured it out. It’s easier to puff it onto my fingers and just distribute it through my hair roots as it’s easier to control the amount of product that goes onto my hair. I have to dust and shake to evenly distribute the dry shampoo throughout my hair roots. The dry shampoo does cut the grease out of my hair and gives it body and bounce. However, it is a little harder to get rid of the white cast the dry shampoo powder leaves behind. The scent is nice though and I do think this will make a great travel size product.

Contrary to other reviews I’ve seen, I really liked this product compared to traditional aerosol dry shampoos. The fragrance is subtle and clean, the application was soft, targeted application was easy because I could distribute the product with ease, either by massaging into the scalp or by brushing through. I don’t have particularly oily hair but this product can be layered. I didn’t have any issues with residue or flakes, it was simple to use too. It also didn’t feel like there was a heavy layer of product on my hair or scalp after application which I typically feel with aerosol products. I would recommend this to others and purchase again.

The Thanks Thanks to Nature Dry Shampoo Powder Instant Refresh is an okay product overall. I'll start with the pluses, the non-aerosol format is great for the environment and should be better for application. I liked that the scent was subtle, which is my preference. Notwithstanding that though, the cons out ranked the pros, I have dark brunette hair and it left a white residue. I also found the application quite tricky to not 'over' apply and that left my hair texture a bit limp and not nice. Overall, I found it was alright it did absorb oil very well, but I found the application tricky, and the residue being left in my hair unpleasant. It's the key thing I look for in a dry shampoo and unfortunately, this one didn't pass the residue test.

I've been using this product for a few week and after trying it out a number of times, I have mixed feelings about it. The smell is lovely and it does a fair job of freshening up my long, thick, hair, but I found it tricky to apply and also left quite a lot of white powdery residue which was difficult to absorb. I also found it slightly sticky which made my hair harder to brush than normal due to it being sticky an getting knotty. Overall very average and I probably wouldn't purchase it again as there are better products on the market.

I have been trialling the Thanks to Nature Dry Shampoo Powder Instant Refresh and I really wanted to love this product however it was underwhelming. Love the fact that it wasn’t an aerosol however the dispensing method was a bit tricky to get used to at first. When squeezing the bottle, too much product would come out and the powder would concentrate one the one spot. This was quite annoying because it was hard to spread out the product on my head once it was poured out. Plus it left with hard to remove white casting on my dark hair. This isn’t a suitable product for darker hair colour types. I did like the scent of the product and it did give me a quick refresh after a gym workout. It was easy to wash out so the product didn’t build up on my scalp.

I absolutely love this dry shampoo! I really love that it's non aerosol and it's still so easy to use and mess free. I wash my hair 2 maybe 3 times a week like to use this in-between washes as I go to the Gym each morning and my hair is always wet from sweating afterwards and this gets my through to wash day as it absorbs sweat so well and leaves my feeling dry and confident to go about my work day after sweating so much. It's lightweight and doesn't leave any residue or white cast on my hair which is awesome. I will be buying this again.

I’ve been pretty happy with the Thanks to Nature Dry Shampoo Instant Refresh. It does a good job of soaking up excess oil and making my hair look fresher without leaving it feeling heavy or gritty. The is no smell at all, which I appreciate especially compared to most other brands. The only downside at first was that the bottle design was a little confusing to use, and it took me a couple of tries to figure out the best way to apply it evenly. Once I got used to it though, it was fine and worked really well. I also didn't have any white flakes left over after application. Overall, a reliable dry shampoo that does what it promises and extra points for not being an aerosol spray.

I really like this dry shampoo. I am a brunette and had no issues with a white cast at all. I use dry shampoo all the time so I really know how to use them and I've used many different brands. I like that with this one there isn't an overpowering scent. I found it super easy to use and found that it worked it's magic in between washes. I used it after morming pilates and morning walks and it absorbed sweat and oil fast leaving me with fresh hair ready to go to work. It is also lightweight. Love this and will continue to purchase.

I tried the Thanks to Nature dry shampoo powder and while it did refresh my hair, it left a noticeable white residue even on my dark blonde hair. I tried brushing it out and working it in with my fingers, but it was still visible. On the plus side, it has almost no scent, which I really liked. However, I still prefer aerosol dry shampoos because you have much more control when spraying directly at the roots. With this powder, I pressed a little too hard and it went everywhere and my bathroom was covered in it. Unfortunately, I won’t be repurchasing this.

I was pleasantly surprised by this dry shampoo! I've been looking for a non-aerosol dry shampoo for a while so that I can take it travelling with me so trying this dry shampoo was great timing. I have fine dark brown hair and it didn't leave any residue or white cast. That being said, I use dry shampoo at night so that it soaks up oils as they appear during the night. On first usage, I used WAY too much and it left a white cast that remained the next morning. The next time I used it, I used 3 pumps/puffs (1 on the left side of my head, 1 on the right and 1 in the middle) and that is the perfect amount. It doesn't make my hair feel like straw - it literally feels as though I have just washed it. Highly recommend!
