a big NO from me, a hot orange mess!

I have an extensive collection of high-end foundations and this one has been the absolute worst performer, a $5 drugstore product performs better than this overpriced rubbish. My shade is 01 Beige Albatre (supposed to be fair neutral) is anything but. It is a hideously bright orange joke of a product. Lancome's "customer service" is equally as hideous. Their "no exchange or refund unless it is unopened" policy means you are stuck with the foundation you are online matched to via their "foundation match" system. Stick to more reputable sister-brands like Estee Lauder, which have a free exchange on foundations. Highly recommend you get a sample size if possible before wasting your $ as it oxidises like a beast no matter what your starting base is (primer, no primer).

Drying

I have combination skin but found this product to be a bit drying on my skin. The texture of the foundation itself is quite nice but a bit thick which may be why it's so drying. It lasted all day which was good but I prefer a foundation which is silky and hydrating to my skin. I also found because of its texture, I ended up with crease lines in the foundation at the end of the day so it didn't have elasticity like other foundations do. The colour was a good match to my skin which is always a tricky thing so will give Lancom points for colour matching.

Not for me

I tried to like this, but I couldn't get past the smell. I don't mind a matte finish, especially if I'm planning on wearing the makeup for more than 6 hours, but I didn't like this. It smelled really strong of alcohol and I had to blend it for what felt like an extensively long period of time to stop it from settling into pores and fine lines. I had the same issues no matter what moisturiser and primer I had on underneath it. Maybe this is one for people who have really oily skin? It almost felt like I was applying a mask to my skin, which meant that after ten minutes I was ready to wash it off.
Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear is packaged in a tall glass bottles with a pump top and contains 30mls of foundation. It is great that it has an SPF but it is only 15 so not really enough for our Aussie summers. I have combination skin but found it to be a little chalky for my liking. It has good staying power but I still needed to touch up.
Second skin and never looks cakey. I love the formula and how buildable it is. I use one layer for daily use and can build it up when I am going out. It comes in a glass pump top bottle and though pricey, is worth the money. I love the extensive shade range and how it looks so perfectly close to my natural skin color (shade 03 beige diaphane). It is oil-free and has a matte finish and doesn't make my acne worse. It applies well with so many different types of applicators. It does have fragrance so those who are sensitive may not like it but I will buy this for as long as they make this!!
This was the first fuller coverage foundation I have tried. The colour range is amazing and the real reason I was drawn to this foundation due to my paleness. It definitely leans towards matte so I look to use a hydrating/glowing primer even though I have normal to oily skin. At first, I felt that my pores were becoming clogged so I do not wear this foundation daily - I keep it for going out. Both powders and creams layer beautifully on top. I would probably not recommend for someone with dry skin as it latches on to any dry patches I may have on the rare occasion.
This is truly one of the best matte, long-wearing foundations I have tried and is worth paying that little bit extra for. It comes in a beautiful sleek glass bottle with a pump dispenser with the golden Lancôme rose symbol on top of the black lid, so it looks luxe too. There is a large selection of shades available, although the fair to light shades are still slightly orange or beige for me and I therefore alternate between three shades; 010, 01 and 005 depending on the season and if I want more of a tanned glow. I usually apply this foundation with a makeup sponge or large foundation brush and it blends evenly without looking or feeling heavy. It can set quickly so it blends and applies best with a damp makeup sponge. It dries to a velvety matte finish and there's really no need to set it with powder as it leaves my skin looking shine-free even by late afternoon. My favourite thing about this foundation is that it's concentrated and pigmented so there's no need to build coverage, and I would say one good pump gives me full coverage. My makeup always looks fresh when I wear this foundation and it really does last all day without actually feeling like you're wearing much makeup. It does take a bit more effort to remove it at the end of the day and I usually use a cleansing balm or oil to get the job done. I will continue to use this foundation as I love that there's no need for touch-ups even in hot, humid weather. I would recommend this foundation to anyone who wants long-wearing coverage, and it would probably suit all skin types except very dry skin as it is slightly mattifying.
The Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation is a beautiful high end foundation with a satin finish. It has a smooth lightweight texture that glides onto my skin beautifully and covers my blemishes and dark circles with a medium coverage that is buildable to full coverage. It is long wearing and given that I have dry skin, the foundation looks dewy and radiant as the hours go by which means my skin looks beautiful.
I loved the finish of this foundation on the skin and love the staying power on the skin despite how lightweight and hydrating the formula feels. Coverage is medium to a buildable full, is super bendable and leaves a great satin finish on the skin. The only thing I didn't like about this foundation was the smell - I found it overally floral. Other than that I would highly recommend this foundation to anyone with normal, dry or combination skin looking for an everyday foundation with SPF.
As a professional makeup artist I do not say things like this lightly, but Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation is one of the best liquid foundations I have used to date. This foundation has a silky, serum-like texture which feels very lightweight on skin. It is very easy to blend, and it does not dry up quickly - I'd say it is fairly fool-proof in terms of application. This foundation is also highly buildable, there is no cakiness and no real issue of settling into fine lines, layer after layer.  No matter which particular application I go with (e.g. with a sponge or without a sponge), the foundation lasts all day until I take it off in the evening. There is no blotchiness or shininess, and when I am wearing it I know confidently that I will not be requiring any touch up. Most of the time it feels very comfortable to wear. When I try to do a high coverage application with quite a few layers then I seem to be feeling it after about 6 hours. That said, I seldom wear full coverage foundation as it is not my preferred makeup style. I was also possibly "over-doing" it for the purpose of testing out the limits of this foundation. I particularly like the versatility of this foundation. I am able to create a sheer and dewy look, a natural semi-matte look, or a full coverage flawless look, all using just this one foundation. For a sheer and dewy application, I use a wet sponge to to blend the foundation over an illuminating primer. The result is a radiant finish and the makeup looks just like a second skin. For a natural semi-matte look, I like to use my fingers to apply the foundation over a hydrating primer (it works with a dry makeup sponge as well, but I found a dry sponge soaks up too much foundation).  I then use the tip of a makeup sponge to "push" the product onto the drier areas of my skin (e.g. the sides of my nose and around my mouth), as I found that this foundation can accentuate dry skin, particularly if I blend it using only fingertips. For a full-coverage flawless look, I use fingertips to apply 2-3 layers of the foundation all over my face, and then use a dry sponge to build up more coverage on the particular areas of conerns (e.g. over pigmentation, or to conceal under eye dark circles).  With the high covering powder of this foundation, I do not need to use any additional concealer. The foundation does not really settle into lines, even with this full-coverage application. This foundation is also packaged in a user-friendly way - it comes with a pump. I found that one pump is enough for the whole face for a medium coverage. There's only one slight issue with the design of the bottle. The bottle is top heavy and one could potentially knock it over and smash it onto the floor. For this reason I keep it in my bedroom (which is carpeted). Another potential disadvantage is probably the fragrance (which is rather strong, at least for the first 5-10 minutes) so it may not be suitable for those who are highly sensitive to fragrance. Overall, an outstanding foundation and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a versatile and long-lasting foundation.
This Lancome foundation is a very luxurious. It comes in a beautiful frosted glass bottle. I love the pump it comes with. It’s really easy to use and I can easily control the amount I want. The texture of this foundation feels very liquidity and silky. When I apply it on my skin,it easily glides smoothly across my skin. It goes onto my skin really evenly. The foundation makes my skin look really even and I have beautiful coverage. It’s a high coverage but at the same time it looks very natural. It’s perfect for a night out or a special event. I choose Lancome’s Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation for my special events and date nights.
I absolutely adore Lancôme products and when I tried this foundation I was not disappointed. Such a high quality product. This foundation gives a gorgeous Matt natural coverage that lasts all day, it did not go oily at all which I loved and is so soft and silky. I apply this either with fingers or with a good quality kabuki brush. It's so easy to use and glides on skin perfectly to hide fine lines and imperfections with ease. The consistency and texture are lovely, so silky and such a high quality I find this foundation gives me a professional finish that looks like my makeup has been professionally done, I can't speak highly enough of this product. With 40 shades it's so easy to find the perfect match for every skin tone. The packaging is lovely and classy, the scent is subtle and pleasant and I love the look of my skin after applying, it even reduces the appearance of pores which is lovely. Love the matte finish, coverage and and long lasting properties of this foundation and absolutely highly recommend it
I was so happy to hear that I was selected to trial the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation.  I scored with choosing the best shade for my complexion. Providing a medium to strong coverage with no need to reapply. I was surprised to see the cost was around the $50 mark as it was pretty much a blue ribbon foundation & I assumed it would be pricier. The tiny downside was that it made pores more visible.  However all in all the foundation covered redness on point.
I was really happy to test out this product, I had read amazing things and couldn’t wait to try it. I was very happy with the colour choice, I had read it does oxidise so I took a chance with a shade lighter than I would normally choose. It did oxidise which made the lighter shade perfect for me. The scent feels strong when initially putting it on the skin although it fades quickly. It took me a few days to get it to work well on my skin. First day I felt it made my skin look a little dry (this is rare for me) so the next day I used a hydrating primer and it solved the dryness. The finish is nice I would say a natural (not matte not dewy - just right) and the coverage is good. Very buildable. The wear time is good, by the time I get home from work it’s stayed out pretty well. I did like this foundation. It’s not amazing but it’s not terrible, it’s a good standard foundation buildable coverage and pretty good wear time. I will definitely continue to use it, I'm not quite sure if I would re-purchase when I finish this bottle but I will finish it
I'm obsessed with foundation. I've got BB creams, concealers, tinted moisturisers, and about 5 different cream foundations, so I was very excited t o try Lancome Ultra Wear. The first thing I noticed was the bottle, it's...beautiful. It's firm glass firm so it won't squeeze out in your makeupbag under your hairdryer (Estee Lauder, take note), it has a pump for easy and clean dispensing, and it just feels luxurious and pretty. I chose the wrong colour for my skin, waaaay too light, so I was very disappointed with the colour match but for those with very light cool toned skin, it would have been lovely.  And gurrrls, it lasts. They are NOT mucking around when they said "ultra wear". The coverage is good, it glides on and STAYS PUT. You only need a small amount so don't get crazy with it. No real scent  so for me, that is a huge bonus, I HATE overly  perfumed cosmetics. iIt does end up a little shiney but it's easily controlled with a little powder. I'd definitely buy this and try it in my true shade. Great value and cover
This is a great medium to heavy coverage foundation, covered most of my flaws very easily using only 1-2 pumps.Lovely & lightweight & lasted well all day in  a hot  Oz summer with only minimal shine. The shade was a great match to.Very impressed! Would buy for myself. Thanks Beauty Crew :)
This is a great foundation, that's easy to apply, a light feel but with a full coverage. Its hid all imperfections but I had to build it up to cover my dark circles. But overall I really liked it and would for sure buy it for myself. 4 out of 5 :)
Thanks to Beauty Crew I've found a foundation that suits my skin. Normally it's hard for me to find the perfect foundation shade as I have light skin. However, 008 Beige Opale looks like my perfect match, especially for when my skin is less tanned, which is most of the year when I'm not on holiday! This is one of the foundations that I will be repurchasing again. I took this on an exotic trip to the Caribbean islands and it (mostly) survived the weather. It lasted lots of hours, I don't need to retouch it. It slides a bit after a few hours on my nose (the oiliest part of my skin that produces more oil than any country in the world) but I haven't found anything that doesn't slide on my biggest oil producer anyway. I love the glass bottle, the pump packaging, and the way it dries quickly on my skin. It takes a bit of trials and errors to find the best way to apply it. In hot/humid weather it applies very smoothly right on top of the Lancôme Genifique serum I have. In cooler weather a tiny bit of moisturizer helps it to spread nicely on my face. Overall, I would recommend this, especially for people with oilier skin.
I received this foundation in exchange for an honest review. This was my first time using a Lancome product. First impressions the packaging is gorgeous and luxe feeling. I love that it comes with a pump. I used this with a beauty blender and use three pumps to cover my face and a fourth for anywhere that I need a bit more coverage. It's definitely a velvet coverage and if you have more oily skin like me you will need to set this really well to keep it looking nice all day. I can easily get a good 12 hours out of this when I set my skin properly. It does oxidise a bit but luckily I received a shade that was a bit light for me so it matches fairly well. I didn't have an issue with it transferring which is always a good thing. I love wearing this on days I want my skin to look flawless because when I use a matte primer, setting powder and spray it will last me all day.
I absolutely love this foundation! It was very easy to find my perfect color match with the variety of shades. The foundation goes on very smooth and the coverage is buildable if need be. I like my foundation to be a full cover, matte and last throughout an entire workday, The Lancôme Teint idole ultra wear definitely ticked all the boxes! This also goes on very smooth without being cakey, like I have found several of the all-day foundations. The packaging is also gorg and provides a very luxurious look. I will definitely be purchasing a new bottle when I run out!
