The product

Who doesn’t love a good two-in-one beauty product? We are all about anything that cuts down on unnecessary steps in those crucial, limited moments when we’re rushing out the door in the morning.

Revlon’s latest range of primers are infused with skin-loving ingredients, and each variant offers benefits that are specifically tailored to your skin type to ensure your makeup lasts all day.

The Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus™ Primer Mattifying & Pore Reducing is a refining primer with AHA and salicylic acid; Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus™ Primer Perfecting & Smoothing is a hydrating primer with hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5; and Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus™ Primer Brightening & Skin-Tone Evening is a brightening primer with vitamin C and lemon extract.

Our panel of Review Crew® testers put the Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus™ Mattifying & Pore Reducing Primer to the test.

The panel

Beauty Crew sent the Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus™ Mattifying & Pore Reducing Primer to a panel of women aged between 25 and 39 who wanted a mattifying primer with targeted skin care ingredients to help improve the appearance of their skin over time.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus™ Primer Mattifying & Pore Reducing.

How it kept unwanted oiliness at bay: Our reviewers loved the fact that the primer was able to control unwanted oil through the day, even after enduring a day of rushing around at work, running errands and going to the gym.

The way it blurred pores: Members were very impressed by the primer’s blurring effect. They found it evened out skin texture and helped them achieve a smooth makeup application.

The added skin care benefits: REVIEWcrew® members were really excited by the inclusion of skin care ingredients salicylic acid and AHA, which helped to improve the function and appearance of their skin with continued use.

The verdict

“This is a primer with extra skincare benefits. Not only does it mattify the skin but it clears it. With salicylic acid and AHAs, it helps to smooth your skin. My foundation sits well on top of it. I would recommend this for any girls who struggles with spots and blemishes or dull and congested skin.”

“It really felt like it was... giving a blurring effect as I applied it. WIN! I have also tested it during a regular workday, and I found it kept my foundation on longer and kept it looking nice for the full 8 hours. Overall, I would definitely recommend, and I will be repurchasing for sure! A+ primer!”

“Love it! This is now my new go-to drugstore primer. Super smooth on the skin and works so well without drying out my face like other pore reducing/mattifying primers have in the past.”
