Clear skin and zero nasties? Yes please!

The product

Trying to find an effective clarifying mask is one thing, but looking for one that is also free from nasties can be a bit of a hassle. Sometimes natural beauty offerings just don’t seem to stand up to their mainstream counterparts and you’re left having to make the decision between what works and what aligns with your morals as a consumer.

Luckily, Swisse has really delivered; the Cranberry Pore Perfecting Clay Mask is an all-natural clay mask that doesn’t compromise on quality. The mask uses a combination of bentonite and Australian pink clay to draw out dirt and impurities, as well as hardworking natural AHAs and BHAs derived from lemon fruit extract and willow bark to gently slough away dead skin and tighten pores.

Then there’s the addition of cranberry, which reduces oil build-up and prevents pores from clogging in the first place. Skin is also protected from free radicals thanks to antioxidants derived from pomegranate and dragon fruit extract. The result? Your complexion looks brighter, smoother, softer and your pores appear more refined.

The panel

Beauty Crew sent the Swisse Cranberry Pore Perfecting Clay Mask to men and women aged between 18 and 35 who were looking for an effective and natural clay mask that would help nourish and clarify their skin.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about the Swisse Cranberry Pore Perfecting Clay Mask:

Unlike other clay masks, it didn’t leave their skin feeling dry or tight: Reviewers were pleasantly surprised by the moisturising and nourishing qualities of the clay mask, with many commenting on the notable difference they experienced compared to other clay masks they had tried previously that had left their skin feeling tight, dry, uncomfortable and even irritated. In fact, a few of our reviewers with sensitive skin noted that this Swisse face mask actually helped soothe irritation and sensitivity flare-ups they had been experiencing.

The way the mask made their skin look after use: Review Crew® members were delighted by the noticeable improvement in their complexion after just one use of the mask, saying their skin immediately appeared brighter and they noticed an overall improvement in the texture of their skin.

The noticeable reduction in pore size and sebum production: Reviewers felt that the mask exfoliated their skin and improved its texture, and they noticed a reduction in their pore size. Many also said their skin looked less oily than usual.

The verdict

“Amazingly healing pink clay for moody skin? Check. Great non-irritating Aussie botanicals? Check. Generous quantity in a recyclable tub? Also check!”

“After just the first use my skin was very noticeably brighter and clearer. With regular use I'm experiencing such a nice glow! It also didn't give me dry patches like a lot of other masks can. This has replaced all my other clay masks.”

“I love that it is free from all those nasties you always see in skincare. Immediately after taking this one off, my skin felt smoother and it stayed oil-free for longer, which is no mean feat on my oily T-zone. After a few uses my skin did look brighter and clearer.”
